Yohaannisa 15
1 “Taani woyniya tuma ubbaa. Goshshanchchoy ta Aawa.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman:
2 Ta bolla de7iya ayfe ayfonna tashiya ubbaa I karees. Ayfiyaa tashiya kaseyssafe aadhdhi ayfana mela he tashiya I giigisana.
every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away, and every one that beareth fruit, He purgeth, that it may bear more fruit.
3 Taani hinttew odida qaala gisho hintte geeshshi.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Tanan de7ite; taanikka hinttenan de7ana. Woyniya tashey ubbaara de7onna ixxiko he tashey barkka ayfe ayfanaw dandda7enna. Hessadakka, hintteka tanan de7onna ixxiko ayfe ayfanaw dandda7ekketa.
Abide therefore in me, and I will abide in you: for as the branch cannot bear fruit of it self, unless it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 “Taani woyniya ubbaa; hintte tasheta. Tanan de7eysinne taani iyan de7eyssi, I daro ayfe ayfana. Ta baynna hintte xalaala aykkoka oothanaw dandda7ekketa.
I am the vine, ye are the branches; he that abideth in me, and I in him, beareth much fruit: but without me ye can do nothing.
6 Tanan doonna uray tashiyada karen yegittidi melana. Hessa mela tasheti shiiqidi taman yeggettana, xuugettana.
If any one abide not in me, he is cast out as a useless branch and withereth: and they gather them up, and throw them into the fire, and they are burnt.
7 Hintte tanan de7ikko, ta qaalaykka hinttenan de7ikko, hintte koyabay aybaa gidikkoka woossite; hintte ekkana.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask what ye will, and it shall be granted you.
8 Hintte daro ayfe ayfiyaa ta tamaare gidikko, hessan ta Aaway bonchchettana.
Herein is my father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples.
9 Aaway tana doseyssada taanikka hinttena dosays; ta siiquwan de7ite.
As the Father hath loved me, and I have loved you, continue in my love:
10 Taani ta Aawa kiitaa naagada iya siiquwan de7idayssada hintteka ta kiitaa naagikko ta siiquwan daana.
and if ye keep my commandments ye will continue in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and continue in his love.
11 “Ta ufayssay hinttenan gidana melanne hintte ufayssay polo gidana mela taani hinttew hessa odas.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy in you may continue, and that your joy may be full.
12 Ta kiitay hayssa; taani hinttena dosidayssada hintteka issoy issuwa dosite.
This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Ba shemppuwa ba laggiyas aathidi immeyssafe aadhdhiya gita siiqoy baawa.
Greater love hath no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends:
14 Taani hinttena kiittidaba ubbaa oothiko hintte dosettidayssata.
and ye are my friends, if ye do what I command you.
15 “Aylley ba goday oothiyabaa eronna gisho taani hinttena hizappe guye aylleta giikke. Shin ta Aawappe si7ida ubbaa taani hinttew odida gisho hinttena dosettidayssata gas.
I no longer stile you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for whatsoever I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
16 Taani hinttena doorasippe attin hintte tana dooribeekketa. Hintte bidi dhayonna ayfe ayfana mela taani hinttena shuumas. Yaanikko ta Aaway hintte ta sunthan woossidaba ubbaa immana.
Ye did not first choose me, but I chose you, and have appointed you to go forth, and bear fruit, and that your fruit should be lasting: that whatsoever ye ask the Father in my name, He may give it you.
17 Ta kiitay hayssa: issoy issuwa dosite.
These commands I give you, that ye should love one another.
18 “Alamey hinttena ixxiko koyrottidi tana ixxidayssa akeekite.
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me first.
19 Hintte alamiyabaa gidiyakko alamey babaada hinttena dosana. Shin taani hinttena alameppe doorida gishonne hintte alamiyabaa gidonna gisho alamey hinttena ixxees.
If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 ‘Aylley ba godaappe aadhdhenna’ gada taani hinttew odidayssa akeekite. Entti tana gooddidabaa gidikko hinttenakka gooddana. Entti ta qaala naagidabaa gidikko hintte qaalaakka naagana.
Remember what I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have observed my word, they will also observe yours.
21 Shin entti tana kiittidayssa eronna gisho ha ubbaa ta gaason hintte bolla oothana.
But all these things will they do unto you, on my account, because they know not Him that sent me.
22 Taani yada enttaw odonnabaa gidiyakko nagara gidenna. Shin ha77i entti oothida nagaraas gaasoyabay baawa.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 Tana ixxeyssi ta Aawakka ixxees.
He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.
24 Oonikka oothiboonna ooso ta entta giddon oothaboonnabaa gidiyakko enttaw nagara gidonna attana. Shin ha77i entti taani oothida oosuwa be7idi tanakka ta Aawakka ixxidosona.
If I had not done among them such works as no other ever did, they had not comparatively had sin: but now they have both seen, and hated, both me and my Father.
25 Shin entta higgiyan, ‘Tana coo ixxidosona’ geetettidi xaafettidayssi polettana mela hessi hanis.
But thus it is that the word might be fulfilled, which is written in their law, they hated me without a cause.
26 “Aawappe yaa tumaa qonccisiya Ayyaana ta hinttew kiittana. I hinttena minthethana, tabaa markkattana.
But when the comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, (even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, ) He shall testify of me.
27 Hintteka koyroppe doomidi taara de7iya gisho tabaa markkattana.
And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
