1 Kase Xoossay, nu aawatas nabeta baggara dumma dumma ogen daro wode odis.
God, who in ancient times, spoke often, and in various ways, to the fathers, by the prophets,
2 Shin ha wurssetha wodiyan ubbaa iya laatisida qassi alamiya iya baggara medhdhida ba Na7aa baggara nuus odis. (aiōn g165)
has, in these last days, spoken to us by a Son, whom he has constituted Lord of all things, by whom, also, he made the universe: (aiōn g165)
3 Na7ay Xoossaa bonchchuwa phoolethaanne kumetha Xoossaa Xoossatethaa ekkidi, ba wolqqaama qaalan ha alamiya katisidi oykkis. Asaa entta nagaraappe geeshshidaappe guye Ubbaafe Bolla Xoossaa ushachcha baggan saluwan uttis.
who, being in effulgence of his glory, and an exact representation of his character, and controlling all things by his own powerful word, after he had, by himself, made expiation for our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 Iyaw imettida sunthay kiitanchchota sunthaafe bolla gideyssada I enttafe bolla.
being exalted as far above the angels, as the name he has inherited, is more excellent than theirs.
5 Hiza, Xoossay kiitanchchotappe oodeko, “Neeni ta Na7a; ta hachchi new aawa gidas” gidee? Woykko qassi oodeko, “Taani iyaw aawa gidana; ikka taw na7a gidana” gidee?
For, to which of the angels did he at any time say, "Thou art my Son: to-day I have begotten thee"? and again, "I will be his Father, and he shall be my Son"?
6 Qassi Xoossay ba bayra Na7a ha alamiya kiittishe, “Xoossaa kiitanchchoti ubbay iyaw goynno” yaagis.
But when he brings again the First-born into the world, he says, "Let all the angels of God worship him."
7 Xoossay kiitanchchotabaa odishe, “Xoossay ba Kiitanchchota carkko, ba aylleta tama laco oothees” yaagees.
Whereas, concerning angels, he says, "Who makes winds his angels, and flaming fire his ministers."
8 Shin ba Na7abaa odishe, “Xoossaw, ne kawotethay merinaw de7ees; Ne kawotethaa ne xillotethan ayssasa. (aiōn g165)
But to the Son, "Thy throne, O God, endures for ever. The scepter of thy kingdom is a scepter of rectitude. (aiōn g165)
9 Neeni xillotethi dosadasa; iita ixxadasa. Xoossay, ne Goday, nena ne laggetappe aathidi dooris, ufayssa zayte nena tiyis” yaagees.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore, God, thy God, has anointed thee with the oil of gladness, above thy associates."
10 Xoossay Zaaridi, “Godaw, koyro neeni sa7a medhdhadasa; saloti ne kushe ooso.
And, "Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the works of thy hands.
11 Hessati ubbay dhayana; shin neeni daana. Entti ubbay afilada wurana.
They shall perish, but thou dost remain; and they, as a garment, shall grow old;
12 Neeni entta salenaada xaaxana; qassi entti afilada laamettana. Shin neeni ubba wode nena; ne laythayka wurenna” yaagees.
and, as a vesture, thou wilt fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same; and they shall be changed; but thou art the same; and thy years shall never fail."
13 Shin Xoossay kiitanchchotappe oodeko, “Taani ne morkketa ne tohoy yedhdhiyaso oothana gakkanaw, hayssan taappe ushachcha baggan utta” gidee?
Moreover, to which of the angels did he say, at any time, "Sit thou at my right hand, till I make thy enemies thy footstool."
14 Kiitanchchoti ubbay atotethi demmanaw de7iya asata maaddanaw Xoossay kiittida ayyaanata gidokkonaayye?
"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall inherit salvation?"
