< Hawaareta Oosuwa 7 >

1 Kahineta halaqay Isxifaanosekko, “Hayssi tumee?” yaagidi oychchis.
Then sayd the chiefe Priest, Are these things so?
2 Isxifaanosey, “Ta ishato, ta aawato, si7ite! Nu aawa Abrahamey Kaaranen daanaw baanappe sinthe Masephexoomiyan de7ishin, bonchcho Xoossay iyaw qonccidi,
And he sayd, Ye men, brethren and Fathers, hearken. That God of glory appeared vnto our father Abraham, while he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
3 ‘Ne biittaafenne ne dabbotappe shaakettada taani nena bessiya biittaa ba’ yaagis.
And said vnto him, Come out of thy countrey, and from thy kindred, and come into the land, which I shall shewe thee.
4 He wode Abrahamey Kalddaweta biittaafe keyidi Kaaranen daanaw bis. Iya aaway hayqqidaappe guye Xoossay iya ha biittaa ha77i hintte de7iya bessaa ehis.
Then came he out of the land of the Chaldeans, and dwelt in Charran. And after that his father was dead, God brought him from thence into this land, wherein ye now dwell,
5 I ha biittaafe hari attoshin tohoy yedhdhiya bessika Abrahames immibeenna. Shin na7i iyaw baynna wode Xoossay ha biittaa iyawunne iya sheeshaas laata oothidi immanayssa qaala gelis.
And hee gaue him none inheritance in it, no, not the bredth of a foote: yet he promised that he would giue it to him for a possession, and to his seede after him, when as yet hee had no childe.
6 Xoossay Abrahamekko, ‘Ne sheeshay hara biittan imathatethan daana; yan oyddu xeetu laythi entti aylletethan haarettana.
But God spake thus, that his seede should be a soiourner in a strange land: and that they should keepe it in bondage, and entreate it euill foure hundreth yeeres.
7 Shin taani ne sheeshaa haariya deriya bolla pirddana. Hessafe guye, entti he biittaafe keyidi hayssan taw goynnana’ yaagis.
But the nation to whome they shall be in bondage, will I iudge, sayth God: and after that, they shall come forth and serue me in this place.
8 Xoossay Abrahaame sheeshay qaxxarettana mela iyara caaqqin, Yisaaqi yelettida hosppuntha gallasan qaxxaris. Yisaaqi Yayqooba qaxxaris; qassi Yayqoobi tammanne nam77u ba nayta, nu aawata mayzata qaxxaris.
Hee gaue him also the couenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begate Isaac, and circumcised him the eight day: and Isaac begate Iacob, and Iacob the twelue Patriarkes.
9 “Yayqooba nayti Yoosefa qanaattidi Gibxe biittan aylletethas bayzidosona, shin Xoossay iyara de7ees.
And the Patriarkes moued with enuie, solde Ioseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
10 Iya, iya waaye ubbaafe kessis. Gibxe kawuwa sinthan sabanne cinccatethi iyaw immis. Gibxe kawoy Yoosefas Gibxe biittaanne ba keetha ubbaa aysanaada halaqatethi immis.
And deliuered him out of all his afflictions, and gaue him fauour and wisdome in the sight of Pharao King of Egypt, who made him gouernour ouer Egypt, and ouer his whole house.
11 “Gibxe biittaninne Kanaane biittan ubban koshi gelidi daro asaa un77ethis. He wode nu mayzati kathi demmanaw dandda7ibookkona.
Then came there a famine ouer all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction, that our fathers found no sustenance.
12 Yayqoobi Gibxe biittan kathi de7eyssa si7idi nu aawata koyro yaa yeddis.
But when Iacob heard that there was corne in Egypt, he sent our fathers first:
13 Nam77antho buussan Yoosefi ba ishatas banatethaa erisis. Gibxe kawoykka Yoosefa sheeshaa eris.
And at the second time, Ioseph was knowen of his brethren, and Iosephs kindred was made knowen vnto Pharao.
14 Yoosefi ba aawa Yayqoobanne ba dabbo ubbaa, laappun tammanne ichchashu asaa baakko yaana mela kiittidi ehisis.
Then sent Ioseph and caused his father to be brought, and all his kindred, euen threescore and fifteene soules.
15 Yayqoobi Gibxe biittaa wodhdhis; inne iya nayti yan hayqqidosona.
So Iacob went downe into Egypt, and he dyed, and our fathers,
16 Entta ahay he bessaafe Seekeme giya biittaa tookettidi bidi, yan Abrahamey Hamoore naytappe daro biran shammida duufon moogettis.
And were remoued into Sychem, and were put in the sepulchre, that Abraham had bought for money of the sonnes of Emor, sonne of Sychem.
17 “Shin Xoossay Abrahames immana gidayssa poliya wodey gakkanaw matida wode Gibxe biittan de7iya nu asay dari dari bis.
But when the time of the promise drewe neere, which God had sworne to Abraham, the people grewe and multiplied in Egypt,
18 Hessafe guye, Yoosefa eronna hara kawoy Gibxe biittan kawotis.
Till another King arose, which knewe not Ioseph.
19 He kawoy nu zerethaa genidi guutha nayti hayqqana mela entta kare kessi yeggana mela nu aawata un77ethis.
The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and euill entreated our fathers, and made them to cast out their yong children, that they should not remaine aliue.
20 “He wode Musey yelettis; I Xoossaa sinthan daro lo77o na7a. Ba aawa keethan heedzu ageena gakkanaw diccis.
The same time was Moses borne, and was acceptable vnto God, which was nourished vp in his fathers house three moneths.
21 Musey wora holettida wode Gibxe kawuwa na7iya demma ekkada ba na7a oothada iya dichchasu.
And when he was cast out, Pharaohs daughter tooke him vp, and nourished him for her owne sonne.
22 Musey Gibxeta cinccatetha ubbaa tamaaridi odaninne ooson mino asi gidis.
And Moses was learned in all the wisdome of the Egyptians, and was mightie in wordes and in deedes.
23 “Muses laythay oytama kumida wode ba ishata, Isra7eeleta be7anaw ba wozanan qoppis.
Nowe when he was full fourtie yeere olde, it came into his heart to visite his brethren, the children of Israel.
24 Isra7eelatappe issuwa Gibxe issoy qohishin be7idi he Isra7eele uraa maaddidi, he qohida Gibxe uraa wodhidi kushe zaaris.
And whe he saw one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and auenged his quarell that had the harme done to him, and smote the Egyptian.
25 Musey ba ishata ba baggara Xoossay ashshanaw haneyssa entti akeekana gidi qoppis, shin entti akeekibookkona.
For hee supposed his brethren would haue vnderstand, that God by his hande should giue them deliuerance: but they vnderstoode it not.
26 “Wonttetha gallas nam77u Isra7eele asati issoy issuwara wadhettishin demmidi entta sigethanaw koyidi, ‘Asato, hintte ishantta; ays issoy issuwa qohetii?’ yaagis.
And the next day, he shewed himselfe vnto them as they stroue, and woulde haue set them at one againe, saying, Syrs, ye are brethren: why doe ye wrong one to another?
27 “Shin ba laggiya qoheyssi Musekko, ‘Nena nu bolla haareyssanne daynna oothiday oonee?
But he that did his neighbour wrong, thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a prince, and a iudge ouer vs?
28 Neeni zine Gibxe uraa wodhidayssada tana wodhanaw koyay?’ yaagidi Muse sugi yeddis.
Wilt thou kill mee, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?
29 Musey hessa si7ida wode Gibxefe betidi Miidiyaame biittan bete asi gididi de7ishe nam77u adde nayta yelis.
Then fled Moses at that saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begate two sonnes.
30 “Godaa kiitanchchoy oytamu laythafe guye, Siina Deriya matan de7iya bazzo tushiya giddon eexiya tama laco giddon Muses benttis.
And when fourtie yeres were expired, there appeared to him in the wildernes of mout Sina, an Angel of the Lord in a flame of fire, in a bush.
31 Musey ba be7idayssan malaalettidi, loythi be7anaw tushiya mati shiiqidi de7ishin, Godaa qaalay,
And when Moses sawe it, hee wondred at the sight: and as he drew neere to consider it, the voyce of the Lord came vnto him, saying,
32 ‘Taani ne aawata, Abrahame Xoossaa, Yisaaqa Xoossaa, Yayqooba Xoossaa’ yaagishe Musekko yis. Musey yashshan kokkoridi xeellanaw dandda7ibeenna.
I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold it.
33 “Goday Musekko, ‘Neeni eqqida biittay geeshshi gidiya gisho ne tohuwan de7iya caammaa kessa.
Then the Lord said to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feete: for the place where thou standest, is holy ground.
34 Taani Gibxen de7iya ta asaa un77etethaa be7as. Entta waasuwa si7ada entta ashshanaw wodhdhas. Ha77i haaya! Taani nena Gibxe kiittana’ yaagis.
I haue seene, I haue seene the affliction of my people, which is in Egypt, and I haue heard their groning, and am come downe to deliuer them: and nowe come, and I will sende thee into Egypt.
35 “Isra7eeleti Muse, ‘Nena nuna haareyssanne daynna oothiday oonee?’ yaagidi ixxidayssa tushiya giddon iyaw benttida kiitanchchuwa baggara haareyssanne ashsheyssa oothidi Xoossay kiittis.
This Moses whome they forsooke, saying, Who made thee a prince and a iudge? the same God sent for a prince, and a deliuerer by the hand of the Angel, which appeared to him in the bush.
36 He Musey Isra7eeleta Gibxefe kessidi malaalisiyabatanne oorathabata Gibxe biittaninne Zo7o Abban oothidi entta oytamu laythi bazzo biittan kaalethis.
Hee brought them out, doing wonders, and miracles in the land of Egypt, and in the red sea, and in the wildernes fourtie yeeres.
37 “Isra7eele asaakko, ‘Xoossay tana denthidayssada hintte sheeshaa giddofe ta mela nabe hinttew denthana’ yaagiday he Muse.
This is that Moses, which saide vnto the children of Israel, A Prophet shall the Lord your God raise vp vnto you, euen of your brethren, like vnto me: him shall ye heare.
38 Bazzo biittan shiiqida Isra7eele asaara de7idayssi, nu aawataranne Siina Deriya bolla iyaw odida kiitanchchuwara de7ida Musey iya. Yaatidi, Xoossaa de7o qaala nuus immanaw ekkis.
This is he that was in the Congregation, in the wildernes with the Angell, which spake to him in mount Sina, and with our fathers, who receiued the liuely oracles to giue vnto vs.
39 “Shin nu mayzati Muses kiitettanaw dosibookkona; iya ixxidi guye Gibxe simmanaw amottidosona.
To whom our fathers would not obey, but refused, and in their hearts turned backe againe into Egypt:
40 Qassi Aaronakko, ‘Nuna kaalethiya xoossata nuus ootha. Ays giikko, hayssi nuna Gibxefe ehida Musey, waanidaakko nuuni erokko’ yaagidosona.
Saying vnto Aaron, Make vs gods that may goe before vs: for we knowe not what is become of this Moses that brought vs out of the land of Egypt.
41 He wode mari daanisidi eeqa oothidosona. He eeqaas yarshsho yarshshidi bantta kushen oothida oosuwan ufayttidosona.
And they made a calfe in those dayes, and offered sacrifice vnto the idole, and reioyced in the workes of their owne handes.
42 Shin Xoossay enttaw zokko zaaris. Entti saluwa xoolinttotas goynnana mela entta yeggi aggis. Nabeta maxaafan, ‘Isra7eele asato oytamu laythi kumethi bazzo biittan shukkida mehiyanne yarshshida yarshshuwa taw yarshshidetii?
Then God turned himselfe away, and gaue them vp to serue the host of heauen, as it is written in the booke of the Prophets, O house of Israel, haue ye offred to me slaine beasts and sacrifices by the space of fourtie yeres in the wildernes?
43 Hinttee, hinttew goynnanaw kessida eeqaanne Molooke dunkkaaniya Refaana giya hintte xoossaa xoolintto misiliya tookkideta. Taani hinttena Babilooneppe hini bagga yeddana’ geetettidi xaafettis.
And ye tooke vp the tabernacle of Moloch, and the starre of your god Remphan, figures, which ye made to worship them: therefore I will carie you away beyond Babylon.
44 “Nu aawatas bazzo biittan markka dunkkaaney de7ees. Iyakka Xoossay Muse kiittidayssadanne iya bessidayssada oothis.
Our fathers had the tabernacle of witnes, in the wildernes, as hee had appointed, speaking vnto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seene.
45 Qassi nu aawati he dunkkaaniya bantta aawatappe ekkidi Xoossay kase yedethida Ayhude gidonna asaa biittaa oykkida wode Iyaasura yaa ekkidi gelidosona. He dunkkaaney Dawite wode gakkanawukka he bessan de7is.
Which tabernacle also our fathers receiued, and brought in with Iesus into the possession of the Gentiles, which God draue out before our fathers, vnto the dayes of Dauid:
46 Dawitey Xoossan sabettis. Qassi Yayqooba Goday de7ana keethaa keexanaw Xoossaa woossis.
Who found fauour before God, and desired that hee might finde a tabernacle for the God of Iacob.
47 Shin iyaw keethaa keexiday Solomone.
But Salomon built him an house.
48 “Hanoshin, Ubbaafe Bolla Xoossay asi keexida keethan deenna. Nabey gidayssa mela,
Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with handes, as saith the Prophet,
49 ‘Saloy ta araata, sa7aykka ta tohoy yedhdhiyaso. Yaatin, taw hintte ay mela keethi keexanee? Woykko taani shemppiyasoy awunee?
Heauen is my throne, and earth is my footestoole: what house wil ye build for me, saith the Lord? or what place is it that I should rest in?
50 Ha ubbaa ta kushiyan oothabiikkinaa?’ yaagees Goday.
Hath not mine hand made all these things?
51 “Hintte waanida si7onna asee? Hintte wozanay Xoossaa qaala ekkanaw ays ixxide? Hintte haythay ays tullidee? Hinttee, hintte aawatatho ubba wode Geeshsha Ayyaanaara eqetteeta.
Ye stiffenecked and of vncircumcised heartes and eares, ye haue alwayes resisted the holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you.
52 Nabeta giddofe hintte aawati gooddonnay oonee? Xoossaa Na7ay, Xilloy yaanayssa kasetidi odidayssata wodhidosona. Ha77i hintte iya aathi immidi wodhideta.
Which of the Prophets haue not your fathers persecuted? and they haue slaine them, which shewed before of the comming of that Iust, of whome ye are now the betrayers and murtherers,
53 Hintte kiitanchchuwa kusheppe Xoossaa higgiya ekkideta, shin kiitettibeekketa” yaagis.
Which haue receiued the Lawe by the ordinance of Angels, and haue not kept it.
54 Entti hessa si7ida wode bantta wozanan Isxifaanose bolla daro yilottidi, bantta mettershshaa saxxidi manddidosona.
But when they heard these thinges, their heartes brast for anger, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.
55 Shin Isxifaanosey Geeshsha Ayyaanan kumidi, salo pude xeellidi, Xoossaa bonchchuwanne Yesuusa Xoossaa ushachcha baggan eqqidayssa be7is.
But he being full of the holy Ghost, looked stedfastly into heauen, and sawe the glory of God, and Iesus standing at the right hand of God,
56 “Hekko, taani saloy dooyettin, Asa Na7ay, Xoossaa ushachcha baggan eqqidayssa be7ays” yaagis.
And said, Beholde, I see the heauens open, and the Sonne of man standing at the right hand of God.
57 Qaalaa dhoqqu oothidi waassishe, bantta haythaa oykkidi issife iyaakko woxxidosona
Then they gaue a shoute with a loude voyce, and stopped their eares, and ranne vpon him violently all at once,
58 Katamaappe gaxa iya kessidi, shuchchan caddidosona. Markkati bantta ma7uwa issi Saa7ola giya na7atethaa matan wothidosona.
And cast him out of the citie, and stoned him: and the witnesses layd downe their clothes at a yong mans feete, named Saul.
59 Isxifaanosey, “Ta Godaa Yesuusaa, ta shemppuwa ekka” yaagidi xeegishin entti iya shuchchan caddoosona.
And they stoned Steuen, who called on God, and said, Lord Iesus, receiue my spirit.
60 Gulbbatidi, ba qaala dhoqqu oothidi, “Ta Godaw, ha nagaraa enttaw atto ga” yaagis. Hessa yaagidi simmida mela hayqqi aggis.
And he kneeled downe, and cried with a loude voyce, Lord, laye not this sinne to their charge. And when he had thus spoken, he slept.
