1 Hiza, Xoossay ba maarotethan ha oosuwa nuus immida gisho, nuuni ufayssi qanxoko.
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we do not faint.
2 Nuuni yeellaya geema ooso ubbaa aggida; gene ooso oothoko; Xoossaa qaala worddora walakkoko. Tumaa qonccen haasayishe, asa ubbaa kahay nuna ekkana mela Xoossaa sinthan nuna shiishoos.
But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
3 Nu odiya Wonggelay geemmidabaa gidikkoka, geemmiday dhayo bolla de7iya asaassa.
Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing;
4 Ha alamiya haariya xoossay ammanonna asaa wozanaa goozis. Entti Xoossaa mela gidida Kiristtoosa bonchcho Wonggelaa poo7uwa be7onna mela diggis. (aiōn g165)
in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so they would not see the light of the glorious Good News of Christ, who is the image of God. (aiōn g165)
5 Nuuni, Yesuus Kiristtoosi Goda gideyssanne nu iya gisho hintte oosanchcho gideyssa odoosippe attin nubaa odokko.
For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves because of Jesus.
6 “Dhuman poo7oy poo7o” gida Xoossay, Kiristtoosa som77uwan poo7iya Xoossaa bonchchuwa eraa poo7uwa immanaw ba poo7uwa nu wozanan poo7isis.
For it is God, who spoke for light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
7 Shin ubbaafe aadhdhiya wolqqay nubaa gidonnashin, Xoossabaa gideyssa bessanaw ha bonchcho shaloy meqqa miishe gidida nu asatethan de7ees.
But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.
8 Nu ubba baggarakka waayettida, shin meqerettibookko. Nuus haddirssi gidis, shin ufayssi qanxibookko.
We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;
9 Nu, morkketan goodettida, shin lagge dhayibookko. Nu morkketan shocettidi kunddida, shin dhayibookko.
pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;
10 Yesuusa de7oy nu asatethan qonccana mela iya hayquwa ubba wode nu asatethan tookkidi yuuyoos.
always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
11 Yesuusa de7oy hayqqiya nu asatethan qonccana mela paxa de7iya nuuni iya gisho, ubba wode hayqos aadhdhidi imettoos.
For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.
12 Hiza, hayqoy nunan oothiya wode de7oy hinttenan oothees.
So then death works in us, but life in you.
13 Geeshsha Maxaafan, “Ta ammanas; hessa gisho haasayas” yaagettis. Hessa mela ammanoy nuus de7iya gisho haasayos.
But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, "I believed, and therefore I spoke." We also believe, and therefore also we speak;
14 Godaa Yesuusa hayquwappe denthida Xoossay, nunakka Yesuusara hayquwappe denthanayssanne hinttera issife ba sinthe shiishanayssa eroos.
knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.
15 Hessi ubbay haniday hintte gishossa. Xoossaa aadho keehatethay daro asaa gakkiya wode asay Xoossaa bonchchuwas daro galataa immana.
For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
16 Hessa gisho, nuuni ufayssi qanxoko. Nu benttiya asatethay daaburishe biyabaa gidikkoka, nu ayyaana asatethay gallas gallas ooraxees.
Therefore we do not become discouraged, but even though our outer nature is wearing away, yet our inner nature is being renewed day by day.
17 Ha77is nuuni waayettiya ha kawushsha waayey, ubbaafe keehi gitatiya merinaa bonchchuwa nuus immisana. (aiōnios g166)
For this momentary light affliction is working for us a far more exceeding and everlasting weight of glory; (aiōnios g166)
18 Nuuni benttiyabaa gidonnashin, benttonnabaa xeellos. Benttiyabay ha77issa, shin benttonnabay merinaassa. (aiōnios g166)
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
