Let as many as are slaves under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.
2 Ammaniya godati de7iya aylleti, entta godati enttaw isha gidiya gisho entta kadhoppo. Entta oosuwan maaddettiya godati, ammaneyssatanne dosettidayssata gidiya gisho entti kaseyssafe aathidi oothanaw bessees. Neeni hayssa tamaarssanawunne entti oothana mela zoranaw bessees.
Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
3 Oonikka dumma timirttiya tamaarssiyaba gidikko, nu Godaa Yesuus Kiristtoosa tuma qaalaranne nu ammanuwa timirttiyara gayttenna.

For we brought nothing into the world, so neither can we carry anything out.
8 Nuus kathinne ma7oy de7ikko hessi gidana.
But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
9 Shin duretethi koyeyssati paaceninne xihen geloosona. Qassi enttana duge dafiyanne dhayssiya eeyatethinne qohiya amon kunddoosona.
But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as plunge people into ruin and destruction.
10 Miishe siiqoy iitatetha ubbaas pultto. Issoti issoti miishe amottishe ammanoppe balettidi daro meton banttana yeggidosona.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 Shin neno, Xoossaa asoo, hessafe baqata. Xillotethaa, Xoossaa daano, ammano, siiqo, dandda7anne ashkketethaa kaalla.
But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.
12 Ammano baaxiya loytha baaxeta. Daro asaa sinthan ne markkattida ne ammanuwabaa, Xoossay nena iyaw xeegida merinaa de7uwa oykka. (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the everlasting life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 Ubbaas de7o immiya Xoossaa sinthaninne, Phenxe Philaaxoosa sinthan lo77o markka markkattida Kiristtoos Yesuusa sinthan ta nena kiittays.
I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Messiah Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,
14 Nu Godaa Yesuus Kiristtoosi qonccana gakkanaw ha kiitaa balinne borey baynna naaga.
that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus (the) Messiah;
15 Ba xalaala ubbaa haariya bonchcho Xoossay, kawota kawoy, godata Goday, ba qoppida qamman Yesuus Kiristtoosa zaari kiittana.
which in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; (aiōn g165)

that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Hessi enttaw sinthas mino baaso gidiya gisho, he wode entti tuma de7oy ay daaniyakko erana.
laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of that which is truly life.
20 Ximotiyoosa, issi issi asay, “Eratethi” giya eeya palamappenne hada odappe baqata; new imettida hadaraa naaga.
Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;
21 Issoti issoti nuus eratethi de7ees yaagishe ammanuwa aggidosona. Xoossaa aadho keehatethay hintte ubbaara gido.
