1 Qoronttoosa 12

1 Ta ishato, Geeshsha Ayyaana imotatabaa hintte erana mela ta koyas.

Now concerning spirituall giftes, brethren, I would not haue you ignorant.

2 Hintte Xoossaa ammanonna wode dooni baynna eeqatan gooshettidi, hintte eronna soo bidayssa ereeta.

Ye know that ye were Gentiles, and were caried away vnto the dumme Idoles, as ye were led.

3 Xoossaa Ayyaanay kaalethiya asi oonikka, “Yesuusi qanggetto” yaagenna. Qassi Geeshsha Ayyaanay kaalethonna de7ishin, oonikka, “Yesuusi Goda” gaanaw dandda7onayssa hintte erana mela koyays.

Wherefore, I declare vnto you, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Iesus execrable: also no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost.

4 Dumma dumma Ayyaana imotati de7oosona, shin imotata immiya Ayyaanay issuwa.

Now there are diuersities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 Nu Godaas oothiya dumma dumma oosoti de7oosona, shin Goday issuwa.

And there are diuersities of administrations, but the same Lord,

6 Nu Godaas oothiya dumma dumma ogeti de7oosona, shin he ogetan oothiya asa ubban oothiya Xoossay issuwa.

And there are diuersities of operations, but God is the same which worketh all in all.

7 Shin issuwas issuwas imettida imotatan harata maaddana mela Geeshsha Ayyaanay qonccees.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is giuen to euery man, to profite withall.

8 Geeshsha Ayyaanay issuwas cinccatethi kumida qaala immees; qassi issuwas eratethi kumida qaala immees.

For to one is giuen by the Spirit the word of wisdome: and to an other the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit:

9 He Geeshsha Ayyaanay issuwas ammano, hankkuwas qassi pathiya wolqqaa immees.

And to another is giuen faith by the same Spirit: and to another the giftes of healing, by the same Spirit:

10 Geeshsha Ayyaanay issuwas malaata oothiya wolqqaa, issuwas tinbbite odiya wolqqaa immees. Issuwas ayyaanappe ayyaana shaakki eriya wolqqaa, issuwas dumma dumma doonan odiya wolqqaa, qassi issuwas dumma dumma doonan odettidayssa birshshiya wolqqaa immees.

And to another the operations of great workes: and to another, prophecie: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, diuersities of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues.

11 Shin ha ubbaa oothey he issi Geeshsha Ayyaana. I koyaa mela issi issi asaas dumma dumma imota immees.

And all these thinges worketh one and the selfe same Spirit, distributing to euery man seuerally as he will.

12 Issi asatethan daro billiteti de7oosona, shin he dumma dumma billiteti issi asatethi gidoosona. Hessadakka, Kiristtoosi dumma dumma billiteti de7iya asatethaa mela.

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, which is one, though they be many, yet are but one body: euen so is Christ.

13 Nuuni Ayhude gidin Girike gidin aylle gidin womaano gidin, ubbay issi asatethi gidanaw Geeshsha Ayyaanan xammaqettida. Qassi nu ubbay issi Geeshsha Ayyaana ekkida.

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we bee Iewes, or Grecians, whether we be bonde, or free, and haue bene all made to drinke into one Spirit.

14 Nu asatethan dumma dumma billiteti de7oosonappe attin issi billite gidenna.

For the body also is not one member, but many.

15 Tohoy, “Taani kushe gidonna gisho billite gidikke” giikko, I hessa gida gisho billitetethay attiyye?

If the foote would say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?

16 Haythi, “Taani ayfe gidonna gisho billite gidikke” giikko, I hessa gida gisho asatethaafe issi billite gideyssi attiyye?

And if the eare would say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?

17 Asatetha ubbay ayfe xalaala gididaakko, nu aybin si7anee? Qassi asatethi ubbay haytha xalaala gididaakko nu aybin singganee?

If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smellling?

18 Shin Xoossay ba koyidayssada, asatethaa giddon dumma dumma billiteta wothis.

But nowe hath God disposed the members euery one of them in the bodie at his owne pleasure.

19 Ubbay issi billite gididaakko asatethi waanidi daanee?

For if they were all one member, where were the body?

20 Shin billiteti daro gidikkoka, asatethay issuwa.

But now are there many members, yet but one body.

21 Ayfey kushekko, “Ne taw koshshakka” gaanaw dandda7enna. Woykko huu7ey tohokko, “Ne taw koshshakka” gaanaw dandda7enna.

And the eye cannot say vnto the hand, I haue no neede of thee: nor the head againe to the feete, I haue no neede of you.

22 Shin daabura daaniya asatethaa billiteti nuus aadhdhidi koshshosona.

Yea, much rather those members of the body, which seeme to be more feeble, are necessarie.

23 Bonchcho koshshenna gidi nu qoppiya nu billitetappe baggata daro bonchchoos. Qassi nu borssettiya nu asatethaa billiteta aathi bonchchidi naagoos.

And vpon those members of the body, which wee thinke most vnhonest, put wee more honestie on: and our vncomely parts haue more comelinesse on.

24 Nu be7in borssonna asatethaa billitetas bonchcho koshshenna. Shin Xoossay nu asatethaa billiteta wolira gasethidi borssiya billitetas aadhdhiya bonchcho immis.

For our comely partes neede it not: but God hath tempered the body together, and hath giuen the more honour to that part which lacked,

25 Asatethaa billiteti issoy issuwara shaako medhdhonna wolis qoppana mela oothidi medhdhis.

Lest there should be any diuision in the body: but that the members shoulde haue the same care one for another.

26 Asatethaa billitetappe issoy sakettiko billiteti ubbay iyara sakettoosona. Asatethaa billitetappe issoy bonchchetiko billiteti ubbay iyara ufayttoosona.

Therefore if one member suffer, all suffer with it: if one member be had in honour, all the members reioyce with it.

27 Hintte ubbay Kiristtoosa asatethi; qassi hintte issoy issoy iya billiteta.

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members for your part.

28 Woosa keethan Xoossay, koyro hawaareta, nam77antho nabeta, heedzantho asttamaareta, kaallidi malaata ootheyssata, patheyssata, harata maaddeyssata, woosa keetha ayseyssatanne, dumma dumma doonan haasayeyssata wothis.

And God hath ordained some in the Church: as first Apostles, secondly Prophetes, thirdly teachers, then them that doe miracles: after that, the giftes of healing, helpers, gouernours, diuersitie of tongues.

29 Ubbay hawaare? Ubbay nabe? Ubbay asttamaare? Ubbay malaata oothi?

Are all Apostles? are all Prophetes? are all teachers?

30 Ubbay pathiyye? Ubbay dumma dumma doonan odetti? Ubbay dumma dumma doonan odettoyssa birshshi?

Are all doers of miracles? haue all the gifts of healing? doe all speake with tongues? doe all interprete?

31 Shin ubbaafe aadhdhiya imotaa minthidi koyite. Qassi ubbaafe aadhdhiya ogiya ta hinttena bessana.

But desire you the best giftes, and I will yet shewe you a more excellent way.
