Therefore, having been justified by faith, let us be at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom also we have had the access, by the Faith, into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 Na to ũguo wiki, no rĩrĩa tũrĩ mathĩĩna-inĩ nĩtũkenaga tondũ nĩtũũĩ atĩ gũthĩĩnĩka gũtũmaga tũũmĩrĩrie;
Not only so, but we should also rejoice in the sufferings, knowing that the suffering produces perseverance;
4 nakuo kũũmĩrĩria gũtũmaga tũgĩe na gwĩkindĩra; nakuo gwĩkindĩra gũtũmaga tũgĩe na kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro.
and the perseverance, proven character; and the proven character, hope;
5 Nakĩo kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro kĩu gĩtingĩtũũraga ngoro, tondũ Ngai nĩaitĩrĩirie wendani wake ngoro-inĩ ciitũ na ũndũ wa Roho Mũtheru, ũrĩa we aatũheire.
and the hope does not humiliate, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 Nĩ ũndũ-rĩ, o ihinda rĩrĩa rĩagĩrĩire rĩakinya, o hĩndĩ ĩrĩa tũtaarĩ na hinya, Kristũ nĩakuire nĩ ũndũ wa andũ arĩa matatĩĩaga Ngai.
Now then, when we were incapacitated, even so Christ died for the ungodly, at the right moment.
7 Nĩ hinya mũno mũndũ akue nĩ ũndũ wa mũndũ mũthingu, no hihi kwahoteka kuoneka mũndũ ũngĩkua nĩ ũndũ wa mũndũ mwega.
Now scarcely even for a righteous person will someone offer to die (although on behalf of a good man someone might dare even to die),
8 No Ngai nĩonanĩtie wendo wake kũrĩ ithuĩ na njĩra ĩno: Atĩ hĩndĩ ĩrĩa twatũire tũrĩ ehia-rĩ, Kristũ nĩatũkuĩrĩire.
but God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!
9 Kuona atĩ rĩu nĩtũtuĩtwo athingu na ũndũ wa thakame yake-rĩ, githĩ tũtigakĩhonokio makĩria kuuma harĩ mangʼũrĩ ma Ngai nĩ ũndũ wake!
So now that we have been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from the wrath through Him!
10 Tondũ-rĩ, angĩkorwo hĩndĩ ĩrĩa twarĩ thũ cia Ngai nĩtwaiguithanirio nake na ũndũ wa gĩkuũ kĩa Mũriũ, na tondũ rĩu tũrĩ aiguithanie na Ngai-rĩ, nĩtũrĩkĩragĩrĩria kũhonokio nĩ ũndũ Kristũ arĩ muoyo.
Because since we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, while we were enemies, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!
11 Na to ũguo wiki, no o na nĩtũkenagĩra Ngai thĩinĩ wa Mwathani witũ Jesũ Kristũ, o ũcio ũtũmĩte tũiguithanio na Ngai.
No wonder we rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation!
12 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, o ta ũrĩa kwĩhia kwa mũndũ ũmwe gwatũmire mehia matoonye gũkũ thĩ, nakĩo gĩkuũ gĩgĩtoonya nĩ ũndũ wa mehia, nao andũ othe magĩtuĩka a gũkuaga tondũ nĩmehirie,
Now then, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, just so death spread to all men, because all sinned
13 nĩgũkorwo o na watho ũtanaheanwo, mehia maarĩ kuo gũkũ thĩ. No gũtarĩ watho mũndũ ndangĩtuuo mwĩhia.
—sin was in the world before the law, to be sure, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin in the likeness of Adam's transgression (he is a type of the coming one).
15 No kĩheo kĩu gĩtihaanaine na ihĩtia rĩa kwagarara watho. Tondũ angĩkorwo andũ aingĩ nĩmakuire nĩ ũndũ wa ihĩtia rĩa mũndũ ũmwe-rĩ, wega wa Ngai o na kĩheo kĩrĩa kĩarehirwo nĩ wega wa mũndũ ũcio ũmwe, na nĩwe Jesũ Kristũ-rĩ, nĩcio ciiyũrĩrĩire andũ aingĩ mũno makĩria!
Now the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one, how much more did God's grace and the bounty by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!
16 O na ningĩ, kĩheo kĩu kĩa Ngai gĩtiringaine na maciaro ma mehia ma mũndũ ũcio ũmwe: Tondũ gũtuĩrwo kwa rĩĩhia rĩu rĩmwe nĩkuo gwatũmire andũ matuĩrwo ciira, no kĩheo kĩu kĩaheanirwo nĩ Ngai o ũguo tũhũ kĩarutirwo nĩ ũndũ wa mehia maingĩ, nakĩo gĩgĩtũma matuuo athingu.
Again, the gift is not like what came from one man's having sinned: because the judgment into condemnation followed one offense, while the gracious gift into justification followed many offenses.
17 Tondũ-rĩ, angĩkorwo kwĩhia kwa mũndũ ũmwe gwatũmire gĩkuũ gĩthamake nĩ ũndũ wa mũndũ ũcio ũmwe-rĩ, githĩ arĩa maamũkagĩra wega mũingĩ wa Ngai na kĩheo kĩu kĩa ũthingu matigũtũũra mathamakaga makĩria marĩ muoyo-inĩ nĩ ũndũ wa mũndũ ũmwe, o we Jesũ Kristũ!
Further, if by the offense of the one man death reigned through that man, much more will those who receive the abundance of the grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
18 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, o ta ũrĩa kwĩhia riita o rĩmwe gwatũmire andũ othe matuĩrwo ciira-rĩ, ũguo noguo gĩĩko kĩmwe kĩa ũthingu gĩatũmire andũ othe matuuo athingu nĩguo magĩe na muoyo.
So then, as through one offense there is condemnation for everyone, so also through one righteous act there is life-giving justification for everyone.
19 Nĩgũkorwo o ta ũrĩa ũremi wa mũndũ ũmwe watũmire andũ aingĩ matuuo ehia-rĩ, ũguo noguo gwathĩka kwa mũndũ ũcio ũmwe gũgũtũma andũ aingĩ matuuo athingu.
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be constituted righteous.
20 Ũhoro wa watho wongereirwo nĩguo mehia mongerereke. No harĩa mehia mongererekire-rĩ, naguo wega wa Ngai ũkĩongerereka makĩria,
However, law came on the scene so that the offense might abound; but where the sin abounded, the grace superabounded,
so that just as sin reigned in the death, so also the grace might reign through righteousness into eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios )
