< Kũguũrĩrio 9 >
1 Nake mũraika wa gatano akĩhuha karumbeta gake, na niĩ ngĩona njata yumĩte igũrũ ĩkagũa thĩ. Nayo njata ĩyo ĩkĩnengerwo cabi ya Irima-rĩtarĩ-Gĩturi. (Abyssos )
And, the fifth messenger, sounded; and I saw a star, out of heaven, fallen unto the earth, and there was given unto him the key of the shaft of the abyss. (Abyssos )
2 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa aahingũrire Irima-rĩtarĩ-Gĩturi-rĩ, rĩkiuma ndogo yahaanaga ta ndogo ya icua inene. Narĩo riũa na matu igĩĩkĩrwo nduma nĩ ndogo ĩyo yoimaga Irima-rĩu-rĩtarĩ-Gĩturi. (Abyssos )
And he opened the shaft of the abyss; and there came up a smoke out of the shaft, as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened, by reason of the smoke of the shaft. (Abyssos )
And, out of the smoke, came forth, locusts, upon the earth; and there was given unto them licence, as the scorpions of the earth have licence.
4 Nacio ikĩĩrwo itikeehie nyeki ya thĩ, kana mũmera o wothe o na kana mũtĩ, o tiga andũ arĩa matarĩ na rũũri rwa Ngai ithiithi ciao.
And it was bidden them that they should not injure the herbage of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, —but only the men who have not the seal of God upon their foreheads.
5 Nacio ikĩaga kũheo ũhoti wa kũmooraga, o tiga wa kũmaherithia mĩeri ĩtano. Naruo ruo rũrĩa maiguire rwarĩ o ta ruo rwa kangʼaurũ karathĩte mũndũ.
And it was given unto them, that they should not slay them, but that they should be tormented five months; and, the torture of them, was as of a scorpion’s torture, whensoever it smiteth a man.
6 Matukũ-inĩ macio andũ nĩmagacaragia gĩkuũ, no matigakĩona; nĩmakeriragĩria gũkua, nakĩo gĩkuũ gĩkamoorĩra.
And, in those days, shall men seek death, and in nowise shall find it, and shall covet to die, and death fleeth from them.
7 Ngigĩ icio ciahaanaga ta mbarathi ihaarĩirio nĩ ũndũ wa mbaara. Mĩtwe-inĩ yacio ciarĩ na kĩndũ kĩahaanaga ta thũmbĩ cia thahabu, namo mothiũ maacio maahaanaga ta mothiũ ma andũ.
And, the likenesses of the locusts, were like unto horses prepared for battle; and, upon their heads, as it were crowns, like unto gold, and, their faces, were as the faces of men,
8 Njuĩrĩ yacio yahaanaga ta njuĩrĩ cia andũ-a-nja, namo magego maacio maatariĩ ta magego ma mũrũũthi.
and, they had hair, as the hair of women, and, their teeth, were, as of lions,
9 Nacio ciarĩ na ngo cia kũgitĩra gĩthũri ciahaanaga ta ngo cia kĩgera, naguo mũgambo wa mathagu maacio warĩ ta mũrurumo wa mbarathi nyingĩ na ngaari cia ita itengʼerete irorete mbaara-inĩ
and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and, the sound of their wings, was as the sound of chariots of many horses, running into battle;
and they have tails like unto scorpions, and stings, and, in their tails, is their licence to injure men five months.
(Abyssos )
They have over them, as king, the messenger of the abyss, whose name, in Hebrew, is Abaddon, and, in the Greek, he hath for name, Destroyer. (Abyssos )
12 Haaro ya mbere nĩyathira; haatigara ingĩ igĩrĩ iria igũũka thuutha.
The first, Woe, hath passed away, lo! there come, yet, two, Woes, after these things.
13 Mũraika wa gatandatũ nake akĩhuha karumbeta gake, na niĩ ngĩigua mũgambo ũkiuma hĩa-inĩ cia kĩgongona gĩa thahabu kĩrĩa kĩrĩ mbere ya Ngai.
And, the sixth messenger, sounded; and I heard one voice, from among the horns of the altar of gold which is before God,
14 Ũkĩĩra mũraika ũcio wa gatandatũ warĩ na karumbeta atĩrĩ, “Ohora araika arĩa ana arĩa moheirwo rũũĩ-inĩ rũrĩa rũnene rwa Farati.”
saying unto the sixth messenger, who was holding the trumpet—Loose the four messengers, who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
And the four messengers were loosed, who had been prepared for the hour, and day, and month, and year, that they should slay the third of men.
16 Nacio mbũtũ cia mbaara iria ciahaicĩte mbarathi mũigana wacio warĩ milioni magana meerĩ. Nĩndaiguire mũigana wacio.
And, the number of the armies of the horsemen, was twice ten thousand times ten thousand—I heard the number of them.
And, thus, saw I the horses in the vision, —and them who were sitting upon them, having breastplates as of fire and hyacinth and brimstone; —and, the heads of the horses, were as heads of lions, and, out of their mouths, come forth fire and smoke and brimstone:
18 Gĩcunjĩ gĩa ithatũ kĩa andũ a gũkũ thĩ nĩkĩoragirwo nĩ mĩthiro ĩyo ĩtatũ ya mwaki, na ndogo, na ũbiriti iria cioimaga tũnua-inĩ twacio.
by these three plagues, were slain, the third part of mankind, by reason of the fire and the smoke and the brimstone, that proceedeth out of their mouths;
19 Hinya wa mbarathi icio warĩ tũnua-inĩ twacio na mĩtingʼoe-inĩ yacio, nĩgũkorwo mĩtingʼoe yacio yahaanaga ta nyoka ĩrĩ na ciongo iria itihagia andũ nacio.
for, the licence of the horses, is, in their mouth, and in their tails, for, their tails, are like unto serpents, having heads, and, with them, they injure.
And, the rest of mankind who were not slain by these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, —that they should not do homage unto the demons, nor unto the idols of gold and of silver and of copper and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk;
Neither repented they of their murders, or of their sorceries, or of their lewdnesses, or of their thefts.
