1 Ningĩ ngĩnengerwo mũrangi wa gũthima wahaanaga ta rũthanju, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ, “Thiĩ ũthime hekarũ ya Ngai na kĩgongona, na ũtare andũ arĩa marahooya Ngai kuo.
And there was given unto me a reed, like unto a staff, saying—Rise, and measure the Sanctuary of God, and the altar, and them who are doing homage therein;
2 No nja ya hekarũ ũtigane nayo, ndũkamĩthime tondũ nĩĩhetwo andũ-a-Ndũrĩrĩ. Nao nĩmakarangĩrĩria itũũra rĩu itheru ihinda rĩa mĩeri mĩrongo ĩna na ĩĩrĩ.
and, the court that is outside the Sanctuary, cast thou outside, and do not measure, it, because it hath been given unto the nations, and, the holy city, shall they tread under foot, forty and two months.
3 Na niĩ nĩngaahe aira akwa eerĩ hinya, nao nĩmakaratha ũhoro handũ ha matukũ 1,260 mehumbĩte nguo cia makũnia.”
And I will give unto my two witnesses, that they shall prophesy, a thousand two hundred and sixty days, arrayed in sackcloth.
4 Acio nĩo mĩtamaiyũ ĩrĩa ĩĩrĩ, na nĩo mĩtĩ ĩrĩa ĩĩrĩ ya kũigĩrĩrwo matawa ĩrĩa ĩrũgamĩte mbere ya Mwathani wa thĩ.
These, are the two olive-trees, and the two lamps, which, before the Lord of the earth, do stand.
5 Mũndũ o wothe angĩkaageria kũmeka ũũru, mwaki ũkoimaga tũnua twao ũkaniina thũ icio ciao. Na mũndũ o wothe ũngĩkenda kũmeka ũũru no nginya akue o ũguo.
And, if any one, upon them, chooseth to inflict injury, fire, cometh forth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies; and, if anyone shall choose, upon them, to inflict injury, thus, must he be slain.
6 Andũ aya marĩ na hinya wa kũhinga igũrũ nĩgeetha gũtikae kuura mbura ihinda rĩrĩa makaaratha ũhoro; ningĩ marĩ na hinya wa kũgarũra maaĩ matuĩke thakame. O na ningĩ marĩ na hinya wa kũhũũra thĩ na mĩthemba yothe ya mĩthiro maita maingĩ o ta ũrĩa mangĩenda.
These, have authority to shut heaven, in order that, no rain, be moistening in the days of their prophesying; and, authority, have they, over the waters, to be turning them into blood, and to smite the land, with any manner of plague, as often as they will.
7 Rĩrĩa makaarĩkia kũheana ũira wao-rĩ, nyamũ ĩrĩa yambataga yumĩte Irima-rĩrĩa-Rĩtarĩ-Gĩturi nĩĩkamatharĩkĩra ĩmatoorie, na ĩmoorage. (Abyssos )
And, as soon as they have completed their witnessing, the wild-beast that is to come up out of the abyss, will make war with them, and overcome them, and slay them. (Abyssos )
8 Nacio ciimba ciao igaatigwo ciaraganĩte njĩra-inĩ cia itũũra rĩrĩa inene, rĩrĩa rĩgerekanagio rĩgetwo Sodomu kana Misiri, na nĩkuo Mwathani wao aambĩirwo mũtĩ igũrũ.
And their dead bodies [lie] upon the broadway of the great city, the which is called, spiritually, Sodom and Egypt, where, their Lord also was crucified.
9 Na ihinda rĩa mĩthenya ĩtatũ na nuthu, andũ a kuuma iruka ciothe, na mĩhĩrĩga yothe, na thiomi ciothe na ndũrĩrĩ ciothe, nĩmakerorera ciimba ciao, na magirie ithikwo.
And [some] of the peoples, and tribes, and tongues, and nations, see, their dead bodies three days and a half, and, their dead bodies, do they not suffer to be put into a tomb.
10 Nao andũ arĩa matũũraga thĩ nĩmagakenerera aira acio, na makũngũĩre magĩtũmanagĩra iheo, tondũ anabii acio eerĩ nĩmanyariiraga andũ a gũkũ thĩ.
And, they who are dwelling upon the earth, rejoice over them, and make merry, and, gifts, will they send one to another, —because, these two prophets, tormented them that were dwelling upon the earth.
11 No thuutha wa mĩthenya ĩtatũ na nuthu, mĩhũmũ ya muoyo ĩkĩmatoonya yumĩte kũrĩ Ngai, nao makĩrũgama na magũrũ mao, na arĩa maamonire makĩnyiitwo nĩ kĩmako kĩnene mũno.
And, after [the] three days and a half, a spirit of life from God, entered within them, and they stood upon their feet; and, great fear, fell upon them who were beholding them.
12 Ningĩ makĩigua mũgambo mũnene uumĩte igũrũ ũkĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Ambatai na gũkũ.” Nao makĩambata igũrũ marĩ itu-inĩ, thũ ciao imeroreire.
And they heard a loud voice out of heaven, saying unto them—Come up hither! And they went up into heaven, in the cloud, and, their enemies, beheld them.
13 Ithaa o rĩu-rĩ, gũkĩgĩa na gĩthingithia kĩnene, nakĩo gĩcunjĩ gĩa ikũmi gĩa itũũra rĩu gĩkĩmomoka. Andũ ngiri mũgwanja makĩũragwo nĩ gĩthingithia kĩu, nao arĩa maatigarire makĩmaka na makĩgooca Ngai wa igũrũ.
And, in that hour, there came to be a great earthquake; and, the tenth of the city, fell, and there were slain, in the earthquake, names of men—seven thousand. And, the rest, became, greatly afraid, and gave glory unto the God of heaven.
14 Haaro ya keerĩ nĩyathira, haaro ya gatatũ-rĩ, ĩgũũka o narua.
The second Woe, hath passed away, —lo! the third Woe, cometh speedily.
15 Nake mũraika wa mũgwanja akĩhuha karumbeta gake, nakuo gũkĩgĩa na mĩgambo mĩnene kũu igũrũ, nayo ĩkiuga atĩrĩ: “Ũthamaki wa thĩ nĩũtuĩkĩte ũthamaki wa Mwathani witũ, o na Kristũ wake, nake egũtũũra athamakaga nginya tene na tene.” (aiōn )
And, the seventh messenger, sounded; and there came to be loud voices in heaven, saying—The kingdom of the world, hath become [the kingdom] of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign unto the ages of ages. (aiōn )
16 Nao athuuri arĩa mĩrongo ĩĩrĩ na ana, arĩa maaikarĩire itĩ ciao cia ũnene mbere ya Ngai, magĩturumithia mothiũ mao thĩ makĩhooya Ngai,
And, the twenty-four elders who, before God, do sit upon their thrones, fell down upon their faces, and rendered homage unto God,
17 makiuga atĩrĩ: “Nĩtwagũcookeria ngaatho, Mwathani Ngai, Wee Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, o Wee ũrĩ ho, na nowe warĩ ho, tondũ nĩwoete hinya waku mũnene, ũkambĩrĩria gũthamaka.
saying—We give thanks unto thee, O Lord God, the Almighty, Who is, and Who was; because thou hast taken thy great power, and hast become king.
18 Ndũrĩrĩ nacio nĩciarakarire; namo mangʼũrĩ maku nĩmakinyĩte. Hĩndĩ nĩnginyu ya andũ arĩa akuũ gũtuĩrwo ciira, o na ya kũhe anabii, ndungata ciaku, iheo, hamwe na arĩa aamũre, na arĩa metigĩrĩte rĩĩtwa rĩaku, arĩa anini na anene, o na ya kwananga arĩa manangaga thĩ.”
And, the nations, were angered; and thine anger, came, and the fit time of the dead, to be vindicated, and to give their reward unto thy servants the prophets, and unto the saints, and unto them who revere thy name—the small and the great, and to despoil them who were despoiling the earth.
19 Ningĩ hekarũ ya Ngai kũu igũrũ ĩkĩhingũrwo, na thĩinĩ wa hekarũ yake gũkĩoneka ithandũkũ rĩrĩa rĩa kĩrĩkanĩro gĩake. Nakuo gũkĩgĩa na heni, na marurumĩ, na ngwa, na gĩthingithia, na mbura nene ya mbembe.
And the sanctuary of God which is in heaven, was opened, and the ark of his covenant in his sanctuary, appeared, and there came to be lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
