1 Ũyũ nĩguo ũguũrio wa Jesũ Kristũ, ũrĩa Ngai aamũguũrĩirie nĩguo onie ndungata ciake maũndũ marĩa makiriĩ gwĩkĩka o ica ikuhĩ. Aamenyithanirie ũhoro ũcio na ũndũ wa gũtũma mũraika wake kũrĩ ndungata yake Johana,
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him to make known to his servants, concerning what must shortly take place, and which he sent and revealed by his angel to his servant John,
2 ũrĩa nake wacookire kumbũra ũhoro ũrĩa wothe oonire, naguo nĩ ũhoro wa kiugo kĩa Ngai na ũira wa Jesũ Kristũ.
who testified to the Message of God and to the testimony to Jesus Christ, omitting nothing of what he had seen.
3 Kũrathimwo-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũthomaga ciugo cia ũrathi ũyũ, na kũrathimwo nĩ andũ arĩa maiguaga ũhoro ũyũ na makaiga ngoro-inĩ ciao ũhoro ũrĩa wandĩkĩtwo ũrathi-inĩ ũyũ, tondũ ihinda nĩrĩkuhĩrĩirie.
Blessed is he who reads, and blessed are they who listen to, the words of this prophecy, and lay to heart what is here written; for The Time is near.
4 Nĩ niĩ Johana, Ndĩratũmĩra makanitha marĩa mũgwanja marĩ kũu bũrũri wa Asia ũhoro ũyũ: Atĩrĩrĩ, wega na thayũ irogĩa na inyuĩ kuuma kũrĩ ũrĩa ũrĩ ho, na nowe warĩ ho, na nowe ũgooka, na kuuma kũrĩ maroho mũgwanja marĩa maikaraga mbere ya gĩtĩ gĩake kĩa ũnene,
From John, to the seven Churches which are in Roman Asia. Blessing and peace be yours from him who is, and who was, and who shall be, and from the seven Spirits that are before his throne,
5 o na kuuma kũrĩ Jesũ Kristũ, mũira ũrĩa mwĩhokeku, o we irigithathi rĩa arĩa akuũ, na mwathi wa athamaki a thĩ. Kũrĩ ũcio ũtwendete, na agatuohorithia kuuma mehia-inĩ maitũ na ũndũ wa thakame yake,
and from Jesus Christ, ‘the faithful Witness, the First-born from the dead, and the Ruler of all the Kings of the earth.’ To him who loves us and freed us from our sins by his own blood —
6 na agatũtua andũ a ũthamaki na athĩnjĩri-Ngai, nĩguo tũtungatage Ngai na Ithe wake: ũgooci na wathani irogĩa kũrĩ we tene na tene! Ameni. (aiōn g165)
and he made us ‘a Kingdom of Priests in the service of God,’ his Father! — to Him be ascribed glory and dominion for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 Atĩrĩrĩ, nĩ gũũka arooka na matu, na gũtirĩ riitho rĩtakamuona, o na andũ arĩa maamũtheecire nĩmakamuona; nao andũ othe a thĩ nĩmagacakaya nĩ ũndũ wake. Ũguo nĩguo gũgaatuĩka! Ameni.
‘He is coming among the clouds!’ Every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him; ‘and all the nations of the earth shall wail for fear of him.’ So shall it be. Amen.
8 Mwathani Ngai ekuuga atĩrĩ, “Nĩ niĩ Alifa o na Omega, ũrĩa ũrĩ ho, na nowe warĩ ho, na nowe ũgooka, o we Mwene-Hinya-Wothe.”
‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord, the God who is, and who was, and who shall be, the Almighty.
9 Niĩ, Johana, mũrũ wa ithe wanyu, na mũgwatanĩri na inyuĩ thĩinĩ wa mĩnyamaro, na ũthamaki, na gũkirĩrĩria tũũmĩrĩirie, o iria irĩ ciitũ thĩinĩ wa Jesũ, ndaarĩ gĩcigĩrĩra-inĩ kĩa iria kĩrĩa gĩĩtagwo Patimo tondũ wa Ũhoro wa Ngai na ũira wa Jesũ.
I, John, who am your Brother, and who share with you in the suffering and kingship and endurance of Jesus, found myself on the island called Patmos, for the sake of the Message of God and the testimony to Jesus.
10 Na rĩrĩ, ndaarĩ thĩinĩ wa Roho Mũthenya wa Mwathani, na niĩ ngĩigua mũgambo mũnene thuutha wakwa warĩ ta wa karumbeta,
I fell into a trance on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, like the blast of a trumpet.
11 ũkiuga atĩrĩ, “Andĩka ũrĩa ũkuona ibuku-inĩ rĩa gĩkũnjo, na ũcooke ũũtũmĩre makanitha marĩa mũgwanja: nĩmo kanitha wa Efeso, na wa Simurina, na wa Perigamo, na wa Thuatira, na wa Saride, na wa Filadelifia, na wa Laodikia.”
It said — ‘Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven Churches, to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamus, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicaea.’

I turned to see what voice it was that spoke to me; and when I turned, I saw seven golden lamps,
13 na gatagatĩ ka mĩtĩ ĩyo nĩ haarĩ na mũndũ “wahaanaga ta mũrũ wa mũndũ,” wehumbĩte nguo yamũkinyĩte o nyarĩrĩ, na akeoha mũcibi wa thahabu gĩthũri.
and in the midst of the lamps one ‘like a man, in a robe reaching to his feet,’ and with a golden girdle across his breast.
14 Naguo mũtwe wake na njuĩrĩ yake ciarĩ njerũ cua ta guoya wa ngʼondu, cierũhĩte o ta ira, namo maitho make maahaanaga ta nĩnĩmbĩ cia mwaki.
‘The hair of his head was as white as wool, as white as snow; his eyes were like flaming fire;
15 Namo magũrũ make maahaanaga ta gĩcango gĩgũkenga kĩrĩ mwaki-inĩ wa aturi, naguo mũgambo wake watariĩ ta mũrurumo wa maaĩ maingĩ.
and his feet were like brass’ as when molten in a furnace; ‘his voice was like the sound of many streams,’
16 Guoko-inĩ gwake kwa ũrĩo aanyiitĩte njata mũgwanja, na kuuma kanua-inĩ gake hakoima rũhiũ rwa njora rũũgĩ mĩena yeerĩ. Naguo ũthiũ wake watariĩ ta riũa rĩrĩa rĩarĩte mũno.
in his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like ‘the sun in the fulness of its power.’
17 Rĩrĩa ndaamuonire ngĩgwa magũrũ-inĩ make ta mũndũ mũkuũ. Nake akĩnjigĩrĩra guoko gwake kwa ũrĩo, akĩnjĩĩra atĩrĩ, “Tiga gwĩtigĩra. Nĩ niĩ wa Mbere, na ni niĩ wa Kũrigĩrĩria.
And, when I saw him, I fell at his feet like one dead. He laid his hand on me and said — ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last,
18 Nĩ niĩ Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Muoyo; nĩndakuĩte, na rĩu ngũtũũra muoyo nginya tene na tene! Na nĩ niĩ ndĩ na cabi cia gĩkuũ na Kwa Ngoma. (aiōn g165, Hadēs g86)
the Everliving. I died, and I am alive for ever and ever. And I hold the keys of the Grave and of the Place of the Dead. (aiōn g165, Hadēs g86)
19 “Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, andĩka maũndũ marĩa wona, marĩa marĩ kuo rĩu na marĩa magooka thuutha-inĩ.
Therefore write of what you have seen and of what is happening now and of what is about to take place —
20 Nayo hitho ya njata icio mũgwanja wonire guoko-inĩ gwakwa kwa ũrĩo, na ya mĩtĩ ĩyo mũgwanja ya thahabu ya kũigĩrĩra matawa nĩ ĩno: Njata icio mũgwanja nĩ araika a makanitha marĩa mũgwanja, nayo mĩtĩ ĩyo mũgwanja ya kũigĩrĩra matawa nĩ makanitha macio mũgwanja.
the mystic meaning of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lamps. The seven stars are the Angels of the seven Churches, and the seven lamps are the seven Churches.
