1 Jehova nĩarathamaka, ndũrĩrĩ nĩcikĩinaine; aikarĩire gĩtĩ kĩa ũnene arĩ gatagatĩ ka makerubi, thĩ nĩĩthingithe.

Yahweh, hath become king, Let the peoples, tremble, He is enthroned on the cherubim, Let the earth, shake.

2 Jehova nĩ mũnene Zayuni; nĩatũũgĩrĩte igũrũ rĩa ndũrĩrĩ ciothe.

Yahweh, in Zion, is great, And, high, is he over all the peoples.

3 Andũ nĩmakĩgooce rĩĩtwa rĩaku inene na rĩa gwĩtigĩrwo: we nĩwe mũtheru.

Let them thank his Name—great and reverend, Holy, is he!

4 Mũthamaki nĩ arĩ hinya, na nĩendete kĩhooto: nĩũrũmĩtie ũtuithania wa ciira ũrĩa mwerekereru; nĩwĩkĩte maũndũ ma kĩhooto na ma ũthingu thĩinĩ wa Jakubu.

Yea, with the strength of a king—justice, he loveth, —Thou, hast established equity, Justice and righteousness in Jacob, thou, hast wrought.

5 Tũũgĩriai Jehova Ngai witũ, na mũmũinamĩrĩre, mũmũhooe mũrĩ gĩturwa-inĩ kĩa makinya make; we nĩwe mũtheru.

Exalt Yahweh our God, And bow down at his footstool, Holy, is he!

6 Musa na Harũni maarĩ amwe a athĩnjĩri-Ngai ake, nake Samũeli aarĩ ũmwe wa arĩa maakayagĩra rĩĩtwa rĩake; maakayagĩra Jehova nake akametĩka.

Moses and Aaron, [were] among his priests, And, Samuel, [was] among them who were calling upon his Name, Who were calling upon Yahweh, and, he, used to answer them:

7 Aamaragĩria arĩ thĩinĩ wa gĩtugĩ kĩa itu; makĩrũmia mawatho make na kĩrĩra kĩa watho wake wa kũrũmĩrĩrwo kĩrĩa aamaheete.

In the pillar of cloud, used he to speak unto them, They kept his testimonies, and the statute he gave them.

8 Wee Jehova Ngai witũ-rĩ, nĩwametĩkaga; harĩ Isiraeli warĩ Mũrungu mũrekanĩri, o na gũtuĩka nĩwamaherithagia nĩ ũndũ wa ciĩko ciao njũru.

O Yahweh our God! thou, answeredst them, —A pardoning GOD, thou becamest to them, Yet one bringing vengeance on their deeds.

9 Tũũgĩriai Jehova Ngai witũ, na mũmũhooyage mũrĩ kĩrĩma-inĩ gĩake kĩamũre, nĩgũkorwo Jehova Ngai witũ nĩ mũtheru.

Exalt Yahweh our God, And bow down towards his holy mountain, For, holy, is Yahweh our God.
