< Thaburi 95 >
1 Ũkai, tũinĩre Jehova nĩ gũkena; tũkĩanĩrĩre ũcio Rwaro rwa Ihiga rwa ũhonokio witũ.
Come! Let us ring out our joy to the Lord, let us merrily shout to our rock of salvation.
2 Nĩtũũkei mbere yake tũgĩcookagia ngaatho, na tũmũinĩre nyĩmbo cia kũmũkumia.
Before his face let us come with thanks, with songs of praise let us shout to him.
3 Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩ Mũrungu mũnene, o we Mũthamaki mũnene ũkĩrĩte ngai ciothe.
For the Lord is a great God, king above all gods.
4 Thĩ kũrĩa kũriku mũno kũrĩ guoko-inĩ gwake, o na tũcũmbĩrĩ twa irĩma no twake.
In his hand are the depths of the earth, the heights of the mountains are his.
5 Iria nĩ rĩake, nĩgũkorwo nĩwe warĩũmbire, na moko make nĩmo moombire thĩ nyũmũ.
The sea is his, for he made it: the dry land was formed by his hands.
6 Ũkai, tũmũinamĩrĩre tũmũhooe, nĩtũturĩrie Jehova o we Mũtũũmbi ndu;
Come! Let us worship and bow on our knees to the Lord our creator.
7 nĩgũkorwo nĩwe Ngai witũ, na ithuĩ tũrĩ andũ a ũrĩithio wake, rũũru rũrĩa we mwene arĩithagia. Ũmũthĩ mũngĩigua mũgambo wake,
For he is our God; and we are the people he tends, the sheep in his care. If only you would heed his voice today:
8 mũtikoomie ngoro cianyu ta ũrĩa mwekire mũrĩ Meriba, o na ta ũrĩa mwekire mũthenya ũrĩa mwarĩ Masa kũu werũ-inĩ,
‘Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, or at Massah, that day in the desert,
9 kũrĩa maithe manyu maangeririe na makĩngararia, o na gũtuĩka nĩmoonete ũrĩa wothe ndaamekĩire.
when your ancestors tempted and tried me, though they had seen my deeds.
10 Nĩgũkorwo ndaatũũrĩte ndakarĩire rũciaro rũu mĩaka mĩrongo ĩna; ngiuga atĩrĩ, “Aya nĩ andũ arĩa ngoro ciao ciũrĩte, na nĩmagĩte kũmenya njĩra ciakwa.”
‘For forty years I was filled with loathing for that generation, so I said: “A people with wandering hearts are they, and ignorant of my ways.”
11 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio ngĩĩhĩta ndakarĩte, ngiuga atĩrĩ, “Matirĩ hĩndĩ magaatoonya kĩhurũko-inĩ gĩakwa.”
So I solemnly swore to them in my anger, that never would they enter my place of rest.’
