< Thaburi 92 >
1 Nĩ wega mũno gũcookagĩria Jehova ngaatho o na gũkumagia rĩĩtwa rĩaku na rwĩmbo, Wee Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno,
A Melody, a Song, For the Sabbath-day. It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, And to sing praises unto thy Name, O Most High;
2 nĩ wega mũno kwanagĩrĩra wendo waku o rũciinĩ, o na kwanĩrĩra wĩhokeku waku ũtukũ,
To declare, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, And thy faithfulness at night;
3 tũkĩinagia kĩnanda gĩa kĩnũbi kĩa ndigi ikũmi, o hamwe na kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto kĩrĩa kĩgambi wega.
Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon a harp, With resounding music on the lyre.
4 Nĩgũkorwo, Wee Jehova, nĩũngenetie nĩ ũndũ wa ciĩko ciaku; nĩngũina ngenete nĩ ũndũ wa wĩra wa moko maku.
For thou hast made me glad, O Yahweh, in thy doing, In the works of thy hands, will I shout for joy.
5 Ĩĩ mawĩra maku matikĩrĩ manene, Wee Jehova, meciiria maku-rĩ, matikĩrĩ marikĩru!
How great have grown thy works, Yahweh, [How] very deep are laid thy plans!
6 Mũndũ ũrĩa ũtarĩ ũũgĩ ndangĩmamenya, mũndũ mũkĩĩgu ndangĩkũũrana ũndũ ũyũ,
A man that is brutish, cannot know, And, a dullard, cannot discern this: —
7 atĩ o na arĩa aaganu mangĩkũra ta nyeki, o na arĩa othe mekaga ũũru mangĩgaacĩra, makaaniinwo nginya tene na tene.
When the lawless do thrive like grass, And all the workers of iniquity have blossomed, It is that they may be destroyed for ever.
8 No Wee Jehova, ũtũũraga ũtũũgĩrĩtio nginya tene.
But, thou, shalt be on high age-abidingly, O Yahweh.
9 Nĩgũkorwo thũ ciaku, Wee Jehova, ti-itherũ thũ ciaku nĩigathira; arĩa othe mekaga ũũru nĩmakaharaganio.
For lo! thine enemies, Yahweh, For lo! thine enemies, shall perish, They shall be scattered—all the workers of iniquity;
10 Wee nĩwambararĩtie rũhĩa rwakwa o ta rwa mbogo; ndĩĩmũitĩrĩrie maguta marĩa mega mũno.
But thou wilt exalt, as [those of] the buffalo, my horn, I have been anointed, with fresh oil.
11 Maitho makwa nĩmeyoneire gũtoorio gwa thũ ciakwa; matũ makwa nĩmeiguĩrĩire ũrĩa thũ ciakwa icio njaganu itooretio.
So hath mine eye descried them who were lying in wait for me, —Of my wicked assailants, mine ears, shall hear.
12 Andũ arĩa athingu marĩtheeremaga o ta mũtĩ wa mũkĩndũ, makũre o ta mũtarakwa wa Lebanoni;
The righteous, like the palm-tree, shall thrive, Like the cedar in Lebanon, shall he grow;
13 mahaandĩtwo kũu nyũmba-inĩ ya Jehova, marĩtheeremaga kũu nja-inĩ cia Ngai witũ.
They who are planted in the house of Yahweh, In the courts of our God, shall flourish;
14 Magatũũra maciaraga maciaro o na marĩ akũrũ, matũũre marĩ na hinya wa wĩthĩ wao, na marĩ aruru,
Still shall they bear fruit in old age, Vigorous and fresh, shall they be:
15 maanagĩrĩre, makiugaga atĩrĩ, “Jehova nĩ mũrũngĩrĩru; we nĩwe Rwaro rwakwa rwa Ihiga, na gũtirĩ waganu ũngĩoneka thĩinĩ wake.”
To declare that upright is Yahweh, My Rock, and no perversity in him.
