< Thaburi 9 >
1 Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, nĩngũkũgooca na ngoro yakwa yothe; nĩngũgana maũndũ maku mothe ma magegania marĩa wĩkĩte.
“To the chief musician upon Muthlabben, a psalm of David.” I will thank the Lord with all my heart: I will relate all thy marvelous deeds.
2 Nĩngũcanjamũka na ngene nĩ ũndũ waku. Nĩngũina rwĩmbo ngooce rĩĩtwa rĩaku, Wee Ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno.
I will rejoice and exult in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High:
3 Thũ ciakwa icookaga na thuutha, ikahĩngwo igathira irĩ mbere yaku.
When my enemies are turned backward, [when] they fall and perish at thy presence.
4 Nĩgũkorwo nĩũtiirĩrĩire kĩhooto gĩakwa na ciira wakwa; nĩũikarĩire gĩtĩ gĩaku kĩa ũnene, na ũgatua ciira na ũthingu.
For thou hast conducted my dispute and my cause; thou hast sat on the throne as a righteous judge.
5 Nĩũrũithĩtie ndũrĩrĩ na ũkaniina andũ arĩa aaganu; namo marĩĩtwa mao ũkamatharia tene na tene.
Thou hast rebuked nations, thou hast caused the wicked to perish, their name hast thou blotted out for ever and ever.
6 Thũ nĩũcikinyĩirie mwanangĩko ũtathiraga, nĩwanangĩte matũũra macio manene; o na kũririkanwo kwao nĩgũthirĩte.
O thou enemy, the ruins are passed away for ever, and the cities which thou hast destroyed, —lost is their memorial, yea, theirs.
7 Jehova athamakaga nginya tene; nĩahaandĩte gĩtĩ gĩake kĩa ũnene nĩguo atuanĩre ciira.
But the Lord will sit enthroned for ever: he hath established for giving judgment his throne.
8 Nĩagatuĩra andũ a thĩ ciira na kĩhooto; nĩagathamakĩra ndũrĩrĩ o ta ũrĩa kwagĩrĩire.
And he will judge the world with righteousness, he shall decide for the people, with equity.
9 Jehova nĩwe rĩũrĩro rĩa arĩa ahinyĩrĩrie, kĩĩhitho kĩrĩ hinya hĩndĩ ya mathĩĩna.
The Lord also will be a strong-hold for the oppressed, a strong-hold in times of distress.
10 Arĩa mooĩ rĩĩtwa rĩaku nĩmarĩkwĩhokaga, nĩgũkorwo Jehova ndũrĩ watiganĩria arĩa makũrongoragia.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou hast not forsaken those that seek thee, O Lord.
11 Inĩrai Jehova nyĩmbo mũmũgooce, o ũcio ũikarĩire gĩtĩ gĩake kĩa ũnene kũu Zayuni; umbũrĩrai andũ a ndũrĩrĩ maũndũ marĩa ekĩte.
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwelleth in Zion: announce among the people his deeds.
12 Nĩgũkorwo ũcio ũrĩhanagĩria thakame nĩamaririkanaga; kĩrĩro kĩa andũ arĩa ahinyĩrĩrĩku ndakariganĩrwo nĩkĩo.
For he, that inquireth after acts of blood, hath remembered them: he hath not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.
13 Wee Jehova, ta rora wone ũrĩa thũ ciakwa iranyariira! Njiguĩra tha, ũnjoe na igũrũ, ũndute kuuma ihingo-inĩ cia gĩkuũ,
Be gracious unto me, O Lord; have regard to my affliction [coming] from those that hate me, thou who liftest me up from the gates of death:
14 nĩguo nyumbũre ũgooci waku ndĩ kũu ihingo-inĩ cia Mwarĩ wa Zayuni, na ndĩ kũu ngenagĩre ũhonokio waku.
In order that I may relate all thy praises in the gates of the daughters of Zion: I will be glad in thy salvation.
15 Ndũrĩrĩ nĩigwĩte o irima rĩrĩa cienjete; magũrũ maacio nĩmanyiitĩtwo nĩ wabu o ũcio ihithĩte wa gũtegana.
Sunk are nations in the ditch that they have prepared: in this net which they had laid in secret is their own foot caught.
16 Jehova nĩemenyithanĩtie na ũndũ wa gũtuanĩra ciira na kĩhooto gĩake; andũ arĩa aaganu nĩmetegete na wĩra wa moko mao ene.
The Lord is made known: he executed justice: through the doing of his own hands is the wicked ensnared. Higgayon, (Selah)
17 Andũ arĩa aaganu macookaga o mbĩrĩra-inĩ, ĩĩ-ni, ndũrĩrĩ iria ciothe iriganagĩrwo nĩ Ngai. (Sheol )
The wicked shall return into hell, all the nations that are forgetful of God. (Sheol )
18 No rĩrĩ, andũ arĩa abatari matigũtũũra mariganĩire, na kana mwĩhoko wa arĩa ahinyĩrĩrie ũthire nginya tene.
For not everlastingly shall the needy be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
19 Wee Jehova, arahũka, Ndũkareke mũndũ agĩe na ũhootani; reke ndũrĩrĩ ituĩrwo ciira irĩ mbere yaku.
Arise, O Lord; let not the mortal boast of his strength; let nations be judged before thy face.
20 Wee Jehova, maiguithie guoya, ũreke ndũrĩrĩ imenye atĩ cio no andũ.
Place, O Lord, fear over them: let nations know, that they are but mortals. (Selah)
