20 Nĩndĩĩoneire Daudi ndungata yakwa; nĩndĩmũitĩrĩirie maguta makwa maamũre.

27 Ningĩ nĩngamwamũra atuĩke irigithathi rĩakwa, na ndũme atũũgĩrio gũkĩra athamaki a thĩ.

38 No rĩrĩ, wee nĩũregete, na ũgatiganĩria, o na ũgakĩrakarĩra ũcio ũitĩrĩirie maguta.
But you have cast off in contempt, and been furious with your anointed.
39 Wee nĩũkanĩte kĩrĩkanĩro kĩrĩa ũrĩkanĩire na ndungata yaku, na ũkarangĩrĩria thũmbĩ yake rũkũngũ-inĩ.
You have spurned the covenant with your servant, and his sacred crown dashed to the ground.

All who pass on their way despoil him, the scorn of his neighbors is he now.

You have given his foes the victory, and made all his enemies glad.
43 Ũũgĩ wa rũhiũ rwake rwa njora nĩũũhũndũrĩte, na ũkaaga kũmũteithĩrĩria mbaara-inĩ.
You have turned back his sword from the foe, you did not lift him up in the battle.
44 Nĩũniinĩte riiri wake ũgathira, na ũgaikania gĩtĩ gĩake kĩa ũnene thĩ.
The sceptre you took from his hand, and his throne you did hurl to the ground.
45 Nĩũnyiihĩtie matukũ ma wĩthĩ wake; ũmũhumbĩte thoni o ta nguo.
You have shortened the days of his youth, and covered him with shame. (Selah)

48 Nĩ mũndũ ũrĩkũ ũngĩtũũra muoyo na ndonane na gĩkuũ, kana ehonokie kuuma kũrĩ hinya wa mbĩrĩra? (Sheol h7585)
Who can live without seeing death? Who can rescue their life from the clutch of Sheol? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Wee Mwathani, wendo waku mũnene ũrĩa wa tene ũkĩrĩ kũ, ũrĩa wehĩtire, ũkĩĩrĩra Daudi na ũndũ wa wĩhokeku waku?
Where, Lord, is your kindness of old, which you in your faithfulness swore to David?
50 Mwathani, ririkana ũrĩa ndungata yaku ĩnyũrũrĩtio, na ũrĩa nyũmĩrĩirie irumi iria numĩtwo nĩ ndũrĩrĩ ciothe ngoro-inĩ yakwa,
Remember, O Lord, how your servants are mocked, how I bear in my heart the scorn of all nations
51 o irumi iria thũ ciaku iinyũrũrĩtie nacio, Wee Jehova, iria itũire inyũrũrĩtie makinya ma ũrĩa wee ũitĩrĩirie maguta nacio.
The scorn which your enemies hurl, O Lord, which they hurl at the footsteps of your anointed.
52 Jehova arogoocwo nginya tene!
Blest be the Lord, for ever and ever. Amen and Amen.
