< Thaburi 87 >
1 Thaburi ya Ariũ a Kora Nĩahaandĩte mũthingi wa itũũra rĩake igũrũ rĩa kĩrĩma kĩrĩa kĩamũre;
For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are in the holy mountains:
2 Jehova nĩendete ihingo cia Zayuni gũkĩra ciikaro iria ingĩ ciothe cia Jakubu.
The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.
3 Maũndũ mega nĩmaragio igũrũ rĩaku, wee itũũra inene rĩa Ngai:
Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God.
I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians, these were there.
5 Ti-itherũ, ũhoro wa Zayuni ũkĩario nĩgũkagwetagwo atĩrĩ, “Ũyũ o na ũũrĩa maaciarĩirwo kuo, na Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno we mwene nĩagatũma gũtũũre kũrĩ kũrũmu.”
Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.
6 Jehova nĩakandĩka ibuku-inĩ rĩa kĩrĩndĩ ũũ: “Ũyũ aaciarĩirwo Zayuni.”
The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, of them that have been in her.
7 Nao magĩtunga nyĩmbo makaina atĩrĩ, “Ithima ciakwa ciothe irĩ thĩinĩ waku.”
The dwelling in thee is as it were of all rejoicing.
