< Thaburi 83 >
1 Thaburi ya Asafu Wee Ngai-rĩ, ndũgakire; tiga gũikara ũtumĩtie, Wee Mũrungu, ndũgaikare wĩnyiitanĩirie.
A Song of a Psalm for Asaph. O God, who shall be compared to thee? be not silent, neither be still, O God.
2 Ta rora wone ũrĩa thũ ciaku iranegena, acio magũthũire makambararia mĩtwe yao.
For behold, thine enemies have made a noise; and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 Mathugundaga ndundu ya gũũkĩrĩra andũ aku na wara; maciiragĩrĩra gũũkĩrĩra andũ arĩa wendete.
Against thy people they have craftily imagined a device, and have taken counsel against thy saints.
4 Meranaga atĩrĩ, “Ũkai, tũmaniine matige gũtuĩka rũrĩrĩ, nĩguo rĩĩtwa rĩa Isiraeli rĩtikanacooke kũririkanwo rĩngĩ.”
They have said, Come, and let us utterly destroy them out of the nation; and let the name of Israel be remembered no more at all.
5 Maciiraga marĩ na ngoro ĩmwe; maiguithanagĩria magũũkĩrĩre:
For they have taken counsel together with one consent: they have made a confederacy against thee;
6 andũ a hema cia Edomu, na cia Aishumaeli, na cia Moabi, na cia Ahagari,
even the tents of the Idumeans, and the Ismaelites; Moab, and the Agarenes;
7 na cia Gebali, na cia Amoni, na cia Amaleki, na cia Filistia, hamwe na andũ a Turo.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalec; the Philistines also, with them that dwell at Tyre.
8 O na Ashuri nĩmegwatanĩtie nao nĩguo mateithĩrĩrie njiaro cia Loti.
Yea, Assur too is come with them: they have become a help to the children of Lot. (Pause)
9 Meeke o ta ũrĩa wekire Amidiani, na o ta ũrĩa wekire Sisera na Jabini rũũĩ-inĩ rwa Kishoni,
Do thou to them as to Madiam, and to Sisera; as to Jabin at the brook of Kison.
10 o acio maaniinĩirwo Enidoru, na magĩtuĩka ta thumu wa kũnoria tĩĩri.
They were utterly destroyed at Aendor: they became as dung for the earth.
11 Tũma andũ ao arĩa marĩ igweta mahaane ta Orebu na Zeebu, anene ao othe ũmahaananie na Zeba na Zalimuna,
Make their princes as Oreb and Zeb, and Zebee and Salmana; [even] all their princes:
12 arĩa moigire atĩrĩ, “Nĩtwĩgwatĩrei bũrũri wa ũrĩithio wa Ngai ũtuĩke witũ.”
who said, let us take to ourselves the altar of God as an inheritance.
13 Wee Ngai wakwa, matue ta rũkũngũ rũrĩa rũgũrũkagio, mahaane o ta mũũngũ ũmbũrĩtwo nĩ rũhuho.
O my God, make them as a wheel; as stubble before the face of the wind.
14 O ta ũrĩa mwaki ũcinaga mũtitũ kana ta rũrĩrĩmbĩ rũgĩcina irĩma-rĩ,
As fire which shall burn up a wood, as the flame may consume the mountains;
15 maingatithie o ro ũguo na kĩhuhũkanio gĩaku, na ũmamakie mũno na huho ciaku nene.
so shalt thou persecute them with thy tempest, and trouble them in thine anger.
16 Humba mothiũ mao thoni, nĩgeetha andũ marongorie rĩĩtwa rĩaku, Wee Jehova.
Fill their faces with dishonour; so shall they seek thy name, O Lord.
17 Marotũũra maconokete na marĩ amaku; marokua na gĩconoko kĩnene.
Let them be ashamed and troubled for evermore; yea, let them be confounded and destroyed.
18 Tũma mamenye atĩ Wee, o Wee wĩtagwo Jehova, atĩ Wee nĩwe Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno, o igũrũ rĩa thĩ yothe.
And let them know that thy name is Lord; that thou alone art Most High over all the earth.
