When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place;
4 mũndũ akĩrĩ kĩ tondũ ũikaraga ũkĩmwĩciiragia, nake mũrũ wa mũndũ akĩrĩ kĩ atĩ nĩkĩo ũmũmenyagĩrĩra?
what is man, that you think of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
5 Watũmire atigie o hanini aiganane nawe, na ũkĩmũhumba thũmbĩ ya riiri o na gĩtĩĩo.
For you have made him a little lower than the angels. You have crowned him with glory and honor,

and you made him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
7 ndũũru ciothe cia mbũri na cia ngʼombe, na nyamũ cia gĩthaka,
all sheep and cattle, and also the wild animals,
8 na nyoni cia rĩera-inĩ, na thamaki cia iria-inĩ, na kĩrĩa gĩothe kĩgeragĩra kũu iria-inĩ thĩinĩ.
the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
9 Wee Jehova, o Wee Mwathani witũ, kaĩ rĩĩtwa rĩaku nĩ inene gũkũ thĩ yothe-ĩ!
Jehovah, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.
