< Thaburi 77 >
1 Thaburi ya Asafu Ndakaĩire Ngai andeithie; ndakaĩire Ngai nĩguo anjigue.
For the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm by Asaph. My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, and for him to listen to me.
2 Rĩrĩa ndaarĩ mĩnyamaro-inĩ, nĩ Mwathani ndarongoririe; ũtukũ ndamwambararĩirie moko itekũnoga, no muoyo wakwa ũkĩrega kũhoorerio.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and did not get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.
3 Wee Ngai, ndakũririkanire ngĩcaaya; ndataranirie maũndũ, naguo roho wakwa ũkĩringĩka.
I remember God, and I groan. I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. (Selah)
4 Wee watũmire njũrwo nĩ toro, ngĩthĩĩnĩka mũno, ngĩremwo nĩ kwaria.
You hold my eyelids open. I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
5 Ndeciiririe ũhoro wa matukũ ma tene, ngĩririkana mĩaka o ĩrĩa yarĩ ya tene;
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 ngĩkĩĩririkania ũrĩa ndainaga ũtukũ, ngoro yakwa ĩgĩtarania maũndũ, naguo roho wakwa ũkĩyũũria atĩrĩ:
I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:
7 “Mwathani egũtũũra atũregete nginya tene? Ndarĩ hĩndĩ agacooka gũtũkenera?
“Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he be favorable no more?
8 Wendo wake ũtathiraga-rĩ, nĩkũbuĩria ũbuĩrĩtie nginya tene? Kĩĩranĩro gĩake gĩgũtũũra gĩtahingĩte nginya tene?
Has his loving kindness vanished forever? Does his promise fail for generations?
9 Kaĩ Mũrungu ariganĩirwo nĩkũiguanĩra tha? Kaĩ marakara make matũmĩte atige gũtugana?”
Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?” (Selah)
Then I thought, “I will appeal to this: the years of the right hand of the Most High.”
11 Nĩngũririkana ciĩko cia Jehova; ĩĩ nĩguo, nĩngũririkana ciama ciaku cia tene.
I will remember the LORD’s deeds; for I will remember your wonders of old.
12 Ndĩrĩtaranagia mawĩra maku mothe, na ngecũũrania ũhoro wa ciĩko ciaku cia hinya.
I will also meditate on all your work, and consider your doings.
13 Njĩra ciaku, Wee Ngai, nĩ theru. Nĩ ngai ĩrĩkũ nene ta Ngai witũ?
Your way, God, is in the sanctuary. What god is great like God?
14 Wee nĩwe Mũrungu ũrĩa ũringaga ciama; wonanagia ũhoti waku kũrĩ ndũrĩrĩ.
You are the God who does wonders. You have made your strength known among the peoples.
15 Nĩwakũũrire andũ aku na guoko gwaku kwa hinya, o acio njiaro cia Jakubu na Jusufu.
You have redeemed your people with your arm, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 Maaĩ nĩmakuonire, Wee Ngai, maaĩ macio maakuonire makĩigua guoya, nakuo kũrĩa kũriku mũno gũkĩĩnyogonda.
The waters saw you, God. The waters saw you, and they writhed. The depths also convulsed.
17 Matu mooiririe mbura, nacio ngwa ikĩruruma igũrũ guothe; heni ciahenũkire ikĩrathũka mĩena yothe
The clouds poured out water. The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around.
18 Ngwa yaku yaiguĩkanire kĩhuhũkanio-inĩ, rũheni rwaku rũkĩmũrĩka thĩ yothe, nayo thĩ ĩkĩinaina na ĩgĩthingitha.
The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind. The lightnings lit up the world. The earth trembled and shook.
19 Njĩra yaku yatuĩkanĩirie iria-inĩ, njĩra yaku ĩgĩtuĩkanĩria maaĩ-inĩ maingĩ, o na gũtuĩka makinya maku mationekire.
Your way was through the sea, your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known.
20 Watongoririe andũ aku o ta ũrĩa mũrĩithi atongoragia rũũru, ũkĩmatongoria na guoko kwa Musa na kwa Harũni.
You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
