< Thaburi 75 >

1 Thaburi ya Asafu Wee Ngai, nĩtwagũcookeria ngaatho, twagũcookeria ngaatho, nĩgũkorwo Rĩĩtwa rĩaku rĩrĩ hakuhĩ; andũ maheanaga ũhoro wa ciĩko ciaku cia magegania.
For the choirmaster: To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A Psalm of Asaph. A song. We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks, for Your Name is near. The people declare Your wondrous works.
2 Uugaga atĩrĩ, “Nĩ niĩ thuuraga hĩndĩ ĩrĩa njagĩrĩru; nĩ niĩ nduanagĩra ciira na kĩhooto.
“When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.
3 Rĩrĩa thĩ na andũ ayo othe maathingitha, nĩ niĩ nyiitagĩrĩra itugĩ ciayo ngacirũmia.
When the earth and all its dwellers quake, it is I who bear up its pillars.
4 Andũ arĩa etĩĩi ngũmeera atĩrĩ, ‘Mũtigacooke kwĩraha,’ na arĩa aaganu ngameera atĩrĩ, ‘Mũtikambararie hĩa cianyu.
I say to the proud, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn.
5 Tigai kwambararia hĩa cianyu na igũrũ, mũtige kwaria mũũmĩtie ngingo.’”
Do not lift up your horn against heaven or speak with an outstretched neck.’”
6 Nĩ ũndũ-rĩ, ũhoro wa gũtũũgĩria mũndũ nduumaga na irathĩro kana ithũĩro, o na kana kuuma werũ-inĩ.
For exaltation comes neither from east nor west, nor out of the desert,
7 No rĩrĩ, nĩ Ngai ũtuanagĩra ciira: Anyiihagia mũndũ ũmwe, na agatũũgĩria ũrĩa ũngĩ.
but it is God who judges; He brings down one and exalts another.
8 Jehova anyiitĩte gĩkombe kĩiyũrĩte ndibei ĩrĩ na mũhũũyũ, ĩtukanĩtio na mahuti manungi wega; amĩonoragia, nao andũ othe aaganu a thĩ makamĩnyua, makainĩkĩrĩra nginya itata rĩa mũthia.
For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours from His cup, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to the dregs.
9 No niĩ-rĩ, nĩngumbũra ũhoro ũyũ nginya tene; ndĩrĩinaga ũgooci kũrĩ Ngai wa Jakubu.
But I will proclaim Him forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob.
10 Nĩngarenga hĩa cia andũ arĩa othe aaganu, no hĩa cia arĩa athingu nĩikambarario.
“All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.”
