< Thaburi 68 >

1 Thaburi ya Daudi Ngai nĩakĩarahũke, ahurunje thũ ciake; nao arĩa mamũthũire nĩmoore mehere mbere yake.
To the Chief Musician. David’s. A Melody, a Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, Yea let them that hate him flee before him:
2 O ta ũrĩa ndogo yũmbũragwo nĩ rũhuho-rĩ, ũromombũra; o ta ũrĩa mũhũra ũringũkagio nĩ mwaki-rĩ, andũ arĩa aaganu marothira marĩ mbere ya Ngai.
As smoke is driven about, Let them be driven about, —As wax is melted before a fire, Let the lawless perish before God.
3 No rĩrĩ, arĩa athingu marocanjamũka na makene marĩ mbere ya Ngai; marorũũhia nĩ gũkena.
But let, the righteous, be glad, let them exult before God, Yea let them rejoice with gladness.
4 Inĩrai Ngai, mũine mũgooce rĩĩtwa rĩake, kumiai ũcio ũhaicaga matu ta mbarathi, rĩĩtwa rĩake nĩ Jehova; gĩcanjamũkei mũrĩ mbere yake.
Sing ye to God, Make music of his Name, —Lift up (a song), to him that rideth through the waste plains, —Since Yah is his name, exult ye before him.
The father of the fatherless, And the advocate of widows, Is God, in his holy habitation.
6 Ngai nĩatũmaga arĩa maikaraga marĩ oiki magĩe na mĩciĩ, arĩa ohe amohorithagia na akamoimagaria; no andũ arĩa aremi matũũraga bũrũri mũũmũ.
God, is he that causeth the solitary to dwell in a home, That bringeth out prisoners into prosperity, But, the rebellious, have made their habitation in a sunburnt land.
7 Wee Ngai rĩrĩa woimagarire ũrĩ mbere ya andũ aku, hĩndĩ ĩrĩa watuĩkanĩirie rũngʼũrĩ-inĩ-rĩ,
O God! When thou camest forth before thy people, When thou didst stride through the wilderness, (Selah)
Earth, trembled, Yea, the heavens, dripped at the presence of God, —This Sinai—at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Wee Ngai-rĩ, nĩwoiririe mbura nyingĩ, ũkĩnyootora bũrũri ũcio wa igai rĩaku ũrĩa wangʼarĩte.
A bounteous rain, dost thou shed abroad, O God, upon thine inheritance, When exhausted, thou thyself, hast supported it:
10 Andũ aku magĩtũũra kuo, na kuumana na ũingĩ wa indo ciaku, Wee Ngai-rĩ, ũgĩtanahĩra athĩĩni acio.
Thy living host, have remained therein, Thou dost provide, in thy bounty, for the humbled ones—O God!
11 Mwathani nĩaheanire ũhoro, nao arĩa maawanĩrĩire maarĩ gĩkundi kĩnene:
Let, My Lord, but give the word, The herald bands, will be a mighty host:
12 “Athamaki na mbũtũ cia ita moraga na ihenya; nakuo kambĩ-inĩ andũ magayanaga indo cia ndaho.
Kings of armies, they flee! they flee! And, she that stayeth at home, shall share the spoil.
Though ye rest between the folds, The wings of the dove, shall be covered with silver, And, her pinions, with green-shimmering gold.
14 Rĩrĩa Mwene-Hinya-Wothe aahurunjire athamaki bũrũri-inĩ-rĩ, kwahaanaga o ta rĩrĩa tharunji ĩgwĩte kĩrĩma-inĩ gĩa Zalimoni.
When the Almighty scattereth kings therein, It will gleam like snow in the gloom:
15 Ĩ irĩma cia Bashani ti irĩma irĩ riiri; irĩma cia Bashani irĩ tũcũmbĩrĩ tũingĩ.
A mighty mountain, is the mountain of Bashan, A mountain of peaks, is the mountain of Bashan!—
16 Inyuĩ irĩma ici irĩ tũcũmbĩrĩ tũingĩ-rĩ, mũrarora na ũiru nĩkĩ, kĩrĩma kĩrĩa Ngai athuurĩte gĩtuĩke gĩikaro gĩake, o kũrĩa Jehova we mwene egũtũũra nginya tene?
Wherefore start ye up, ye mountains, ye peaks? The mountain God hath coveted for his habitation, Surely, Yahweh will inhabit it ever!
17 Ngaari cia Ngai cia ita nĩ makũmi ma ngiri, na ngiri cia ngiri; Mwathani nĩokĩte arĩ gatagatĩ ga cio oimĩte Kĩrĩma gĩa Sinai, agatoonya handũ hake haamũre.
The chariots of God, are two myriads—thousands repeated, My Lord, is among them Sinai, is in the sanctuary!
18 Rĩrĩa wambatire igũrũ, nĩwatongoririe arĩa maatahĩtwo mũtongoro-inĩ waku; nĩwamũkĩrire iheo kuuma kũrĩ andũ, o na ũgĩciamũkĩra kuuma kũrĩ andũ arĩa aremi, nĩgeetha Wee, Jehova Ngai, ũtũũre kuo.
Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led in procession a body of captives, Thou hast received gifts consisting of men, Yea even the rebellious, That, Yah, Elohim, might settle down to rest.
19 Goocai Mwathani, o we Mũrungu Mũhonokia witũ, o we ũkuuaga mĩrigo iitũ mũthenya o mũthenya.
Blessed be My Lord! Day by day, he beareth our burden for us, GOD himself, is our salvation. (Selah)
20 Ngai witũ nĩ Mũrungu ũhonokanagia; Mwathani Jehova nĩwe rĩũrĩro rĩa kuuma gĩkuũ-inĩ.
The GOD we have, is a GOD of saving deeds, And, due to Yahweh, My Lord, are escapes from death.
21 Ti-itherũ Ngai nĩakamemenda ciongo cia thũ ciake, amemende ruototia rwa arĩa mathiiaga na mbere kwĩhia.
Yea, God himself, will smite through the head of his foes, —The hairy crown of him that is marching on in his guilty deeds.
22 Mwathani ekuuga atĩrĩ, “Nĩngaruta thũ cianyu kuuma Bashani; ndĩcirute iria-inĩ kũrĩa kũriku,
Said My Lord, From Bashan, will I bring back, —I will bring back from the depths of the sea:
23 nĩgeetha mũtobokie makinya manyu thakame-inĩ ya thũ cianyu, o nacio nĩmĩ cia ngui cianyu igĩe na igai rĩacio.”
That thou mayest bathe thy foot in blood, —The tongue of thy dogs, from the foes, hath its portion.
24 Wee Ngai-rĩ, mũtongoro waku nĩwonekete, o mũtongoro wa Mũrungu wakwa na Mũthamaki agĩtoonya handũ-harĩa-haamũre.
They have seen thy progress O God, The progress of my GOD, my king into the sanctuary:
25 Aini a nyĩmbo nĩo matongoretie, makarũmĩrĩrwo nĩ ahũũri inanda; hamwe nao nĩ airĩtu arĩa marahũũra tũhembe.
In front are the singers, Behind are the harpers, In the midst of damsels playing on timbrels:
26 Goocai Ngai, kĩũngano-inĩ kĩrĩa kĩnene; mũgooce Jehova kĩũngano-inĩ gĩa Isiraeli.
In the congregations, bless ye God, My Lord, from among the called of Israel:
27 Mũhĩrĩga ũrĩa mũnini wa Benjamini nĩguo ũcio ũmatongoretie, kĩrĩndĩ kĩnene kĩa athamaki a Juda kĩrĩ ho, na makarũmĩrĩrwo nĩ athamaki a Zebuluni na a Nafitali.
There, is Benjamin, the Diminutive—ruling them, The princes of Judah—their throng, The princes of Zebulun, The princes of Naphtali.
28 Wee Ngai-rĩ, onania ũhoti waku; tuonie hinya waku, Wee Ngai, ta ũrĩa waneka.
Thy God hath commanded thy strength, —The strength, O God, which thou hast wrought for us.
29 Tondũ wa hekarũ yaku ĩrĩa ĩrĩ kũu Jerusalemu-rĩ, athamaki nĩmagakũrehagĩra iheo.
Because of thy temple above Jerusalem, Unto thee, shall kings bear along a gift—
30 Rũithia nyamũ ĩrĩa ĩrĩ ithanjĩ-inĩ, ũkĩrũithie rũũru rwa ndegwa rũrĩa rũrĩ thĩinĩ wa tũcaũ twa ndũrĩrĩ. Ĩkwĩnyiihĩrie, na ĩkũrehere icunjĩ cia betha. Hurunja ndũrĩrĩ iria ikenagĩra mbaara.
Rebuke thou, The wild beast of the reeds, The herd of mighty oxen among the calves of the peoples—Each one bowing down with bars of silver, —Scatter thou the peoples, who in wars take delight.
31 Abarũthi nĩmagooka moimĩte bũrũri wa Misiri; naguo bũrũri wa Kushi nĩũkenyiihĩria Ngai.
Ambassadors come out of Egypt, The Ethiopian, eagerly stretcheth out his hands, unto God.
32 Inĩrai Ngai, inyuĩ mothamaki ma thĩ, inai mũgooce Mwathani,
Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God, Praise in song Adonay. (Selah)
Unto him that rideth upon the most ancient heavens, Lo! he uttereth his voice, a voice of strength.
34 Anĩrĩrai hinya wa Ngai, we ũrĩa ũnene wake arĩ guo ũrũgamĩrĩire Isiraeli, o ũcio ũhoti wake ũrĩ kũu matu-inĩ.
Ascribe ye strength unto God, —Over Israel, is his majesty, And his strength, in the skies. To be revered is God, for his sanctuary, —
Ngai arogoocwo!
As for the GOD of Israel, he, is giving strength and abundant might to the people. Blessed be God!
