1 Rwĩmbo rwa Thaburi Anĩrĩrai Ngai mũkenete mũrĩ mbere ya Jehova, inyuĩ andũ othe a thĩ!
To the chief Musician, A Song [or] Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all ye lands:
2 Inai mũrahe riiri wa rĩĩtwa rĩake; gũkumio gwake tũmai kũgĩe na riiri!
Sing forth the honor of his name: make his praise glorious.
3 Ĩrai Ngai atĩrĩ, “Kaĩ ciĩko ciaku nĩ cia magegania-ĩ! Ũhoti waku nĩ mũnene mũno nginya ũgatũma thũ ciaku ciĩhetage nĩ guoya irĩ mbere yaku.
Say to God, How terrible [art thou in] thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thy enemies submit themselves to thee.
4 Andũ othe a thĩ nĩwe mainamagĩrĩra; mainaga magakũgooca, mainaga makagooca rĩĩtwa rĩaku.”
All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing to thee; they shall sing [to] thy name. (Selah)
5 Ũkai muone ũrĩa Ngai ekĩte, maũndũ marĩa ekagĩra andũ matikĩrĩ ma kũmakania!
Come and see the works of God: [he is] terrible [in his] doing towards the children of men.
6 Aagarũrire iria rĩgĩtuĩka thĩ nyũmũ, nao andũ makĩhĩtũkĩra kũu maaĩ-inĩ na magũrũ; ũkai, tũmũkenere.
He turned the sea into dry [land]: they went through the flood on foot: there we rejoiced in him.
7 Nĩ ũndũ wa hinya wake, egũtũũra aathanaga nginya tene, maitho make maikaraga marorete ndũrĩrĩ, nĩguo andũ arĩa aremi matikagerie kũmũũkĩrĩra.
He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. (Selah)
8 Goocai Ngai witũ, inyuĩ andũ a ndũrĩrĩ, mũgambo wake wa kũmũgooca nĩũiguĩke;
O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
9 nĩatũtũũrĩtie muoyo na akagirĩrĩria magũrũ maitũ matirũke.
Who holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
10 Nĩgũkorwo Wee Ngai nĩũtũgeretie; ũtũtheragia ta ũrĩa betha ĩtheragio na mwaki.
For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11 Nĩwatũmire tũtwarwo njeera na ũgĩtũkuuithia mĩrigo mĩritũ.
Thou hast brought us into the net; thou hast laid affliction upon our loins.
12 Warekire andũ matũikarĩre mĩtwe; twagĩtuĩkanirie mwaki-inĩ o na maaĩ-inĩ, no ũgĩcooka ũgĩtũrehe kũndũ kũrĩ bũthi.
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy [place].
13 Nĩngũũka hekarũ-inĩ yaku ndĩ na maruta ma njino, nĩguo hingie mĩĩhĩtwa yakwa harĩwe,
I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14 mĩĩhĩtwa ĩrĩa mĩromo yakwa yeranĩire, na ngĩmĩaria na kanua gakwa, rĩrĩa ndaarĩ thĩĩna-inĩ.
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15 Ngũkũrutĩra igongona rĩa nyamũ iria noru, na ndute iruta rĩa ndũrũme; ngũkũrutĩra igongona rĩa ndegwa na mbũri.
I will offer to thee burnt-sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. (Selah)
16 Ũkai mũthikĩrĩrie inyuothe arĩa mwĩtigĩrĩte Ngai; rekei ndĩmũhe ũhoro wa ũrĩa anjĩkĩire.
Come [and] hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17 Ndamũkaĩire na kanua gakwa, ngĩmũgooca na rũrĩmĩ rwakwa.
I cried to him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18 Korwo ndaarĩ na mehia ngoro-inĩ yakwa-rĩ, Mwathani ndangĩanjiguire;
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear [me]:
19 no ti-itherũ Ngai nĩathikĩrĩirie, na akĩigua mũgambo wakwa ngĩmũhooya.
[But] verily God hath heard [me]; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Ngai arogoocwo, o we ũtaaregire kũigua ihooya rĩakwa, o na kana akĩaga kũnyonia wendo wake!
Blessed [be] God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
