< Thaburi 5 >

1 Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, igua ciugo ciakwa, na ũigue gũcaaya gwakwa.
To the Chief Musician. For the Flutes. A Melody of David. To my words, give ear, O Yahweh, Understand thou my softly murmured prayer:
2 Thikĩrĩria ngĩgũkaĩra ũndeithie, Mũthamaki wakwa na Ngai wakwa, nĩgũkorwo nĩwe ndĩrahooya.
Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for, unto thee, do I pray.
3 Wee Jehova-rĩ, o rũciinĩ ũrĩiguaga mũgambo wakwa; o kĩrooko ndĩrĩigaga mabataro makwa mbere yaku, na ngeterera macookio ndĩ na kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro.
O Yahweh! in the morning, shalt thou hear my voice, In the morning, will I set in order unto thee, and keep watch;
4 Nĩgũkorwo Wee ndũrĩ Mũrungu wa gũkenera ũũru; ningĩ andũ arĩa aaganu ndũngĩtũũrania nao.
For, not a GOD finding pleasure in lawlessness, art thou, and wrong can be no guest of thine:
5 Andũ arĩa etĩĩi matingĩrũgama mbere yaku; andũ arĩa othe mekaga maũndũ mooru nĩũmathũire.
Boasters, shall not station themselves, before thine eyes, —Thou hatest all workers of iniquity:
6 Andũ arĩa maaragia maheeni nĩũmaniinaga; nao arĩa maitaga thakame na makaheenania, Jehova nĩamathũire.
Thou wilt destroy them who speak falsehood, —The man of bloodshed and of deceit, Yahweh abhorreth.
7 No niĩ-rĩ, nĩ ũndũ wa tha ciaku nyingĩ, nĩngũũka ndoonye nyũmba yaku; ndĩnyiihĩtie nyinamĩrĩre ndorete hekarũ-inĩ yaku theru.
But, I, in the abounding of thy lovingkindness, will enter thy house, I will bow down towards thy holy temple, in reverence of thee:
8 Wee Jehova-rĩ, ndongoria na ũthingu waku; nĩ ũndũ wa thũ ciakwa-rĩ, rũngaria njĩra yaku mbere yakwa.
O Yahweh! lead me in thy righteousness, because of mine adversaries, Make even, before me, thy way:
9 Tũnua twacio tũtiaragia ũhoro ũngĩĩhokwo; ngoro ciacio ciyũrĩte mwanangĩko. Mĩmero yacio nĩ ta mbĩrĩra ngunũre; ciaragia maheeni na rũrĩmĩ rwacio.
For in his mouth is nothing worthy of trust, Their inward purpose, is engulphing ruin, —An opened sepulchre, is their throat, With their tongue, speak they smooth things.
10 Wee Ngai, matue nĩmahĩtĩtie! Reke magũithio nĩ mĩbango ĩyo yao ya ungumania. Maingate nĩ ũndũ wa mehia mao maingĩ, nĩgũkorwo nĩmakũremeire.
Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall by their own counsels, —Into the throng of their own transgressions, thrust them down, For they have rebelled against thee: —
11 No rĩrĩ, reke arĩa moragĩra harĩwe makene; nĩmarekwo mainage hĩndĩ ciothe nĩ gũkena. Tambũrũkia ũgitĩri waku igũrũ rĩao, nĩguo arĩa mendete rĩĩtwa rĩaku magũkenagĩre.
That all may rejoice who seek refuge in thee, to times age-abiding, may shout in triumph, that thou wilt protect them, and they may leap for joy in thee who are lovers of thy Name.
12 Nĩ ũndũ ti-itherũ Wee Jehova nĩũrathimaga andũ arĩa athingu; ũtũũraga ũmairigĩire na wega waku taarĩ ngo.
For, thou, wilt bless the righteous man, O Yahweh, As with an all-covering shield—with good pleasure, wilt thou encompass him.
