1 Thaburi ya Ariũ a Kora Ngai nĩwe rĩũrĩro riitũ o na hinya witũ, o we ũteithio witũ hĩndĩ ya mathĩĩna.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Tondũ ũcio tũtingĩĩtigĩra, o na thĩ ĩngĩthingitha, na irĩma igwe iria-inĩ,
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the middle of the sea;
3 o na maaĩ marĩo mangĩruruma na mahũyũke, nginya irĩma igathingithio nĩ nditi yamo.
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. (Selah)
4 Nĩ kũrĩ rũũĩ rũrĩa tũrũũĩ twaruo tũkenagia itũũra rĩa Ngai, gĩikaro kĩu kĩamũre kĩa Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 Ngai arĩ kũu thĩinĩ wa itũũra rĩu, na rĩtikenyenyeka; Ngai nĩwe ũkaarĩteithia kĩrooko gũgĩkĩa.
God is in the middle of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 Ndũrĩrĩ nĩiraronja, namo mothamaki makenyenya; nake agũũthũka-rĩ, thĩ ĩgatweka.
The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe arĩ hamwe na ithuĩ; Ngai wa Jakubu nĩwe kĩirigo giitũ kĩa hinya.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. (Selah)
8 Ũkai muone ciĩko iria Jehova ekĩte, ũkai muone ũrĩa akirĩtie thĩ ihooru.
Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he has made in the earth.
9 Aniinaga mbaara nginya ituri cia thĩ; oinaga ũta na agathethera itimũ, na agacina ngo na mwaki.
He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in sunder; he burns the chariot in the fire.
10 “Hoorerai, na mũmenye atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Ngai; nĩngatũũgĩrio ndũrĩrĩ-inĩ, na ndũũgĩrio thĩ yothe.”
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe arĩ hamwe na ithuĩ; Ngai wa Jakubu nĩwe kĩirigo giitũ kĩa hinya.
