< Thaburi 41 >
1 Thaburi ya Daudi Kũrathimwo-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũrũmbũyagia andũ arĩa matarĩ hinya; ũcio-rĩ, Jehova nĩamũhatũraga hĩndĩ ya mathĩĩna.
Unto the end. A Psalm of David himself. Blessed is he who shows understanding toward the needy and the poor. The Lord will deliver him in the evil day.
2 Jehova nĩarĩmũgitagĩra na amũtũũragie muoyo; nĩarĩmũrathimaga bũrũri-inĩ, na ndakamũrekereria kũrĩ merirĩria ma thũ ciake.
May the Lord preserve him and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth. And may he not hand him over to the will of his adversaries.
3 Jehova nĩarĩmũmenyagĩrĩra arĩ ũrĩrĩ-inĩ arĩ mũrũaru, na acooke amũhonie arĩ o hau ũrĩrĩ-inĩ wake.
May the Lord bring him help on his bed of sorrow. In his infirmity, you have changed his entire covering.
4 Ndoigire atĩrĩ, “Wee Jehova, njiguĩra tha; honia, nĩgũkorwo Wee nĩwe njĩhĩirie.”
I said, “O Lord, be merciful to me. Heal my soul, because I have sinned against you.”
5 Thũ ciakwa ciaragia ũhoro wakwa na rũmena ikooria atĩrĩ, “Agakua rĩ, rĩĩtwa rĩake rĩthire?”
My enemies have spoken evils against me. When will he die and his name perish?
6 Rĩrĩa rĩothe mũndũ ooka kũnyona, aaheaga ũhoro wa maheeni, o rĩrĩa ngoro yake ĩrahũnga ndeto cia kũnjambia; agacooka agathiĩ gũcimemeerekia kũndũ guothe.
And when he came in to see me, he was speaking emptiness. His heart gathered iniquity to itself. He went outside, and he was speaking in the same way.
7 Thũ ciakwa ciothe iheehanagĩra nĩguo iinjũkĩrĩre; injiiragĩrĩra maũndũ mooru mũno, ikoiga atĩrĩ,
All my enemies were whispering against me. They were thinking up evils against me.
8 “Mũrimũ mũũru nĩũmũnyiitĩte; ndarĩ hĩndĩ agokĩra hau akomete.”
They established an unjust word against me. Will he that sleeps no longer rise again?
9 O na mũrata wakwa wa hakuhĩ, ũrĩa ndĩrehokete, o ũrĩa tũrĩĩanagĩra irio nake nĩangarũrũkĩte.
For even the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, who ate my bread, has greatly supplanted me.
10 No rĩrĩ, Wee Jehova, njiguĩra tha; njarahũra, nĩguo ndĩĩrĩhĩrie harĩo.
But you, O Lord, have mercy on me, and raise me up again. And I will requite them.
11 Nĩnjũũĩ atĩ nĩũkenetio nĩ niĩ, nĩgũkorwo thũ yakwa ndĩndooretie.
By this, I knew that you preferred me: because my adversary will not rejoice over me.
12 We nĩũũnyiitĩrĩire nĩ ũndũ wa wagĩrĩru wakwa, na ũkanjiga harĩwe nginya tene.
But you have sustained me, because of my innocence, and you have confirmed me in your sight in eternity.
13 Jehova, o we Ngai wa Isiraeli, arogoocwo, kuuma tene wa tene nginya tene na tene. Ameni, na ningĩ Ameni.
Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for all generations and even forever. Amen. Amen.
