Thaburi 34
1 Thaburi ya Daudi Ndĩrĩkumagia Jehova hĩndĩ ciothe; ndĩrĩmũgoocaga na kanua gakwa hĩndĩ ciothe.
De David, quand il dissimula sa raison devant Abimélec, qui le chassa, et il s’en alla. Je bénirai l’Éternel en tout temps; sa louange sera continuellement dans ma bouche.
2 Ngoro yakwa nĩ Jehova ĩrĩĩrahaga; arĩa anyamaarĩku marĩiguaga ũguo magakena.
Mon âme se glorifiera en l’Éternel; les débonnaires l’entendront, et se réjouiront.
3 Goocai Jehova mũmũnenehie mũrĩ hamwe na niĩ; rekei tũtũũgĩrie rĩĩtwa rĩake tũrĩ hamwe.
Magnifiez l’Éternel avec moi, et exaltons ensemble son nom.
4 Ndarongoririe Jehova, nake akĩnjĩtĩka, akĩndeithũra kuuma kũrĩ maũndũ marĩa mothe maanjĩkagĩra guoya.
J’ai cherché l’Éternel; et il m’a répondu, et m’a délivré de toutes mes frayeurs.
5 Andũ arĩa mamũcũthagĩrĩria matheragĩrwo nĩ ũtheri; mothiũ mao gũtirĩ hĩndĩ magaaconorithio.
Ils ont regardé vers lui, et ils ont été illuminés, et leurs faces n’ont pas été confuses.
6 Mũndũ ũyũ mũthĩĩni aakaĩire Jehova, nake Jehova akĩmũigua, akĩmũhonokia mathĩĩna-inĩ make mothe.
Cet affligé a crié; et l’Éternel l’a entendu, et l’a sauvé de toutes ses détresses.
7 Mũraika wa Jehova aikaraga arangĩire arĩa othe mamwĩtigagĩra, na akamateithũra othe.
L’ange de l’Éternel campe autour de ceux qui le craignent, et les délivre.
8 Camai muone atĩ Jehova nĩ mwega; kũrathimwo nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũragĩra harĩ we.
Goûtez et voyez que l’Éternel est bon! Bienheureux l’homme qui se confie en lui!
9 Mwĩtigĩrei Jehova, inyuĩ andũ ake aamũre, nĩgũkorwo arĩa mamwĩtigĩrĩte gũtirĩ kĩndũ maagaga.
Craignez l’Éternel, vous ses saints; car rien ne manque à ceux qui le craignent.
10 Mĩrũũthi no yage gĩa kũrĩa ĩhũte, no arĩa marongoragia Jehova gũtirĩ kĩndũ kĩega maagaga.
Les lionceaux souffrent disette, et ont faim; mais ceux qui cherchent l’Éternel ne manquent d’aucun bien.
11 Ũkai ciana ciakwa, mũthikĩrĩrie ũrĩa nguuga; nĩngũmũruta gwĩtigĩra Jehova.
Venez, fils, écoutez-moi: je vous enseignerai la crainte de l’Éternel.
12 Mũndũ ũrĩa wanyu ũngĩenda gũtũũra muoyo, na erirĩrie kuona matukũ maingĩ mega,
Qui est l’homme qui prenne plaisir à la vie [et] qui aime les jours pour voir du bien?
13 nĩakĩmenyerere rũrĩmĩ rwake rũtikoige ũũru, na mĩromo yake ndĩkaarie maheeni.
Garde ta langue du mal, et tes lèvres de proférer la tromperie;
14 Garũrũka utige gwĩka ũũru na wĩke ũrĩa kwagĩrĩire; caragia thayũ na ũũthingatage.
Retire-toi du mal, et fais le bien; cherche la paix, et poursuis-la.
15 Maitho ma Jehova macũthagĩrĩria andũ arĩa athingu, na matũ make magathikĩrĩria kĩrĩro kĩao;
Les yeux de l’Éternel [regardent] vers les justes, et ses oreilles sont [ouvertes] à leur cri.
16 ũthiũ wa Jehova ũũkagĩrĩra andũ arĩa mekaga ũũru, nĩguo moima thĩ matikanaririkanwo.
La face de l’Éternel est contre ceux qui font le mal, pour retrancher de la terre leur mémoire.
17 Andũ arĩa athingu makayaga, Jehova akamaigua; amateithũraga kuuma mathĩĩna-inĩ mao mothe.
[Les justes] crient, et l’Éternel entend, et il les délivre de toutes leurs détresses.
18 Jehova akoragwo arĩ hakuhĩ na andũ arĩa ahehenjeku ngoro, na akahonokia arĩa athuthĩku roho.
L’Éternel est près de ceux qui ont le cœur brisé, et il sauve ceux qui ont l’esprit abattu.
19 Mũndũ ũrĩa mũthingu no akorwo arĩ na mathĩĩna maingĩ, no Jehova amũteithũraga harĩ mo mothe;
Les maux du juste sont en grand nombre; mais l’Éternel le délivre de tous:
20 agitagĩra mahĩndĩ make mothe, gũtirĩ o na rĩmwe rĩngiunĩka.
Il garde tous ses os, pas un d’eux n’est cassé.
21 Andũ arĩa aaganu makooragwo nĩ ũũru; nao arĩa mathũire andũ arĩa athingu nĩmagatuĩrwo ciira.
Le mal fera mourir le méchant; et ceux qui haïssent le juste en porteront la peine.
22 Jehova akũũraga ndungata ciake; arĩa othe moragĩra harĩ we gũtirĩ ũgaatuĩrwo ciira.
L’Éternel rachète l’âme de ses serviteurs; et aucun de ceux qui se confient en lui ne sera tenu pour coupable.
