1 Thaburi ya Daudi Ndĩrĩkumagia Jehova hĩndĩ ciothe; ndĩrĩmũgoocaga na kanua gakwa hĩndĩ ciothe.

2 Ngoro yakwa nĩ Jehova ĩrĩĩrahaga; arĩa anyamaarĩku marĩiguaga ũguo magakena.
In Yahweh, boasteth my soul, The patient oppressed-ones shall hear and be glad.
3 Goocai Jehova mũmũnenehie mũrĩ hamwe na niĩ; rekei tũtũũgĩrie rĩĩtwa rĩake tũrĩ hamwe.
Ascribe ye greatness unto Yahweh with me, and let us exalt his Name together.
4 Ndarongoririe Jehova, nake akĩnjĩtĩka, akĩndeithũra kuuma kũrĩ maũndũ marĩa mothe maanjĩkagĩra guoya.
I enquired of Yahweh, and he hath answered me, And, out of all my terrors, hath he rescued me.
5 Andũ arĩa mamũcũthagĩrĩria matheragĩrwo nĩ ũtheri; mothiũ mao gũtirĩ hĩndĩ magaaconorithio.
They looked unto him and were radiant, And, as for their faces, let them not be abashed.
6 Mũndũ ũyũ mũthĩĩni aakaĩire Jehova, nake Jehova akĩmũigua, akĩmũhonokia mathĩĩna-inĩ make mothe.
This, oppressed one cried, and, Yahweh, heard—and, out of all his distresses, saved him.
7 Mũraika wa Jehova aikaraga arangĩire arĩa othe mamwĩtigagĩra, na akamateithũra othe.
The messenger of Yahweh encampeth around them who revere him, Thus hath he delivered them.
8 Camai muone atĩ Jehova nĩ mwega; kũrathimwo nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũragĩra harĩ we.
Oh taste and see, that good is Yahweh, —How happy the man who seeketh refuge in him!
9 Mwĩtigĩrei Jehova, inyuĩ andũ ake aamũre, nĩgũkorwo arĩa mamwĩtigĩrĩte gũtirĩ kĩndũ maagaga.
Revere Yahweh, ye his holy ones, For there is no want to them who revere him.
10 Mĩrũũthi no yage gĩa kũrĩa ĩhũte, no arĩa marongoragia Jehova gũtirĩ kĩndũ kĩega maagaga.
Young lions, have come short, and suffered hunger, but, they who seek Yahweh, shall not lack any good thing.
11 Ũkai ciana ciakwa, mũthikĩrĩrie ũrĩa nguuga; nĩngũmũruta gwĩtigĩra Jehova.
Come, ye children! hearken unto me, The reverence of Yahweh, will I teach you.
12 Mũndũ ũrĩa wanyu ũngĩenda gũtũũra muoyo, na erirĩrie kuona matukũ maingĩ mega,
Who is the man that desireth life, Loving days, that he may see good?
13 nĩakĩmenyerere rũrĩmĩ rwake rũtikoige ũũru, na mĩromo yake ndĩkaarie maheeni.
Keep thy tongue from wickedness, And thy lips from speaking deceit:
14 Garũrũka utige gwĩka ũũru na wĩke ũrĩa kwagĩrĩire; caragia thayũ na ũũthingatage.
Depart from wickedness and do good, Aim at well-being, and pursue it.
15 Maitho ma Jehova macũthagĩrĩria andũ arĩa athingu, na matũ make magathikĩrĩria kĩrĩro kĩao;
The eyes of Yahweh, are towards the righteous, And, his ears, towards their cry for help:
16 ũthiũ wa Jehova ũũkagĩrĩra andũ arĩa mekaga ũũru, nĩguo moima thĩ matikanaririkanwo.
the face of Yahweh, is against such as do wickedness, To cut off, from the earth, their memory.
17 Andũ arĩa athingu makayaga, Jehova akamaigua; amateithũraga kuuma mathĩĩna-inĩ mao mothe.
They made outcry, and Yahweh heard, And, out of all their straits, hath he rescued them.
18 Jehova akoragwo arĩ hakuhĩ na andũ arĩa ahehenjeku ngoro, na akahonokia arĩa athuthĩku roho.
Near is Yahweh, to the broken in heart, And, the crushed in spirit, will he save.
19 Mũndũ ũrĩa mũthingu no akorwo arĩ na mathĩĩna maingĩ, no Jehova amũteithũraga harĩ mo mothe;
Many are the misfortunes of the righteous, But, out of them all, doth Yahweh rescue him.
20 agitagĩra mahĩndĩ make mothe, gũtirĩ o na rĩmwe rĩngiunĩka.
Keeping all his bones, Not, one from among them, is broken.
21 Andũ arĩa aaganu makooragwo nĩ ũũru; nao arĩa mathũire andũ arĩa athingu nĩmagatuĩrwo ciira.
Misfortune shall be the death of the lawless one, And, the haters of the righteous man, shall be held guilty.
22 Jehova akũũraga ndungata ciake; arĩa othe moragĩra harĩ we gũtirĩ ũgaatuĩrwo ciira.
Yahweh ransometh the soul of his servants, And none shall be held guilty, who seek refuge in him.
