< Thaburi 33 >

1 Inĩrai Jehova mũkenete, inyuĩ andũ arĩa athingu; andũ arĩa arũngĩrĩru ngoro nĩo maagĩrĩirwo nĩkũmũgooca.
Shout for joy, ye righteous, in Yahweh, To the upright, seemly is praise.
2 Goocai Jehova na kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto; mũinĩrei na kĩnanda kĩrĩa kĩgeete na nga ikũmi.
Give ye thanks unto Yahweh with the lyre, With a harp of ten strings, make ye music unto him.
3 Mũinĩrei rwĩmbo rwerũ; hũũrai inanda mũrĩ na ũũgĩ, na mwanĩrĩre nĩ gũkena.
Sing unto him, a song that is new, With skill, sweep the strings, with loud noise.
4 Nĩgũkorwo kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩerekereru na nĩ kĩa ma; we nĩ mwĩhokeku maũndũ-inĩ mothe marĩa ekaga.
For right is the word of Yahweh, and, all his work, is in faithfulness:
5 Jehova nĩendete ũthingu na ciira wa kĩhooto; thĩ yothe ĩiyũrĩte wendani wake ũrĩa ũtathiraga.
Who loveth righteousness and justice, With the lovingkindness of Yahweh, the earth is full.
By the word of Yahweh, the heavens were made, and, by the spirit of his mouth, all their host:
7 Aacookanĩrĩirie maaĩ ma iria inene ndigithũ-inĩ; maaĩ ma kũrĩa kũriku aamaigire thĩinĩ wa makũmbĩ.
Who gathered as into a skin-bottle the waters of the sea, Delivering, into treasuries, the roaring deeps.
8 Thĩ yothe nĩĩtigĩre Jehova; andũ othe a thĩ nĩmamũtĩĩe.
Let all the earth, stand in awe of Yahweh, Of him, be in dread, all ye inhabitants of the world;
9 Nĩgũkorwo aaririe, thĩ ĩkĩgĩa kuo; aathanire, ĩkĩĩhaanda, ĩkĩrũma wega.
For, he, spake, and it was, He, commanded, and it stood forth.
10 Jehova nĩarigiicaga mĩbango ya ndũrĩrĩ; nĩathũkagia mĩoroto ya andũ.
Yahweh, hath frustrated the counsel of nations, hath brought to nothing the devices of peoples.
The counsel of Yahweh, to times age-abiding, shall stand, The devices of his heart, from generation to generation.
12 Kũrathimwo-rĩ, nĩ rũrĩrĩ rũrĩa Jehova arĩ we Ngai waruo, andũ arĩa eethuurĩire matuĩke igai rĩake.
How happy the nation whose God is, Yahweh, The people he hath chosen as his own inheritance!
13 Jehova arĩ igũrũ aroraga thĩ akoona andũ othe;
Out of the heavens, hath Yahweh looked, He hath seen all the sons of men:
14 acũthagĩrĩria arĩa othe matũũraga gũkũ thĩ, arĩ o kũu gĩikaro-inĩ gĩake,
Out of his settled place of abode, hath he fixed his gaze on all the inhabitants of the earth:
15 we nĩwe mũũmbi wa ngoro ciao othe, na nĩoĩ mawĩra mao mothe.
Who fashioneth their heart all together, Who understandeth all their doings.
Not a king, can be saved by greatness of force, nor, hero, deliver himself by greatness of strength:
17 Ha ũhoro wa kũhonokania-rĩ, mbarathi cia mbaara nĩ mwĩhoko wa tũhũ; o na ĩrĩ na hinya mũingĩ ndĩngĩhonokania.
A deception, is the horse, for victory, and, by his great strength, shall he not deliver.
18 No rĩrĩ, maitho ma Jehova macũthagĩrĩria andũ arĩa mamwĩtigagĩra, o acio maikaraga mehokete wendo wake ũrĩa ũtathiraga,
Lo! the eye of Yahweh, is toward them who revere him, unto such as are waiting for his lovingkindness:
19 akamateithũra gĩkuũ-inĩ, na akamatũũria muoyo hĩndĩ ya ngʼaragu.
To rescue, from death, their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Ithuĩ twetagĩrĩra Jehova tũrĩ na mwĩhoko; nĩwe ũteithio witũ o na ngo iitũ.
Our own soul, hath waited for Yahweh, Our help and our shield, is he!
21 Ngoro ciitũ nĩcikenete nĩ ũndũ wake, nĩgũkorwo twĩhokete rĩĩtwa rĩake itheru.
For, in him, shall our heart rejoice, For, in his holy Name, have we trusted.
22 Wee Jehova-rĩ, wendo waku ũrĩa ũtathiraga ũroikarania na ithuĩ, o ta ũrĩa ithuĩ tũkwĩrĩgĩrĩire.
Be thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, upon us, According as we have waited for thee.
