< Thaburi 31 >
1 Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, nĩ harĩwe njũrĩire; ndũkanareke njonorithio; nĩ ũndũ wa ũthingu waku-rĩ, ndeithũra.
To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. In thee, O Yahweh, have I sought refuge, Let me not be ashamed to times age-abiding, In thy righteousness, deliver me:
2 Ndegera gũtũ na ũhiũhe ũũke ũũhatũre; tuĩka rwaro rwakwa rwa ihiga rwa kũũrĩra, ũtuĩke gĩikaro kĩirigĩre na hinya, ũũhonokie.
Incline unto me, thine ear, Speedily rescue me, —Become to me a Rock of refuge, a Place of security, For saving me.
Because, my mountain crag and my stronghold, thou art, Therefore, for the sake of thine own Name, wilt thou lead me and guide me?
4 Ndeithũkithia mũtego-inĩ ũrĩa nyambĩirwo, nĩgũkorwo nĩwe rĩũrĩro rĩakwa.
Wilt thou bring me forth, out of the net which they have hidden for me? For, thou, art my refuge.
5 Roho wakwa ndaũiga moko-inĩ maku; Wee Jehova, ngũũra, o Wee Mũrungu ũrĩa wa ma.
Into thy hand, do I commit my spirit—Thou hast ransomed me, O Yahweh, GOD most faithful.
6 Nĩthũire arĩa mahooyaga ngai cia mĩhianano ĩtarĩ kĩene; niĩ ndĩhokete o Jehova.
I hate such as give heed to false vanities, I, then, in Yahweh, have set my hope.
7 Niĩ nĩngũcanjamũka na ngenage nĩ ũndũ wa wendo waku, nĩgũkorwo nĩwonire mĩnyamaro yakwa, na ũkĩmenya ruo rũnene rwa ngoro yakwa.
I will indeed exult and rejoice, in thy lovingkindness, —In that thou hast looked upon my humiliation, thou hast taken note that in distresses was my life;
8 Ndũũneanĩte kũrĩ thũ, no nĩũkinyithĩtie magũrũ makwa handũ haariĩ.
And hast not shut me up in the hand of the foe, Thou hast given standing, in a roomy place, unto my feet.
9 Njiguĩra tha, Wee Jehova, nĩgũkorwo ndĩ mũnyamarĩku; maitho makwa nĩmaroorwo nĩ hinya nĩ ũndũ wa kĩeha, ngoro yakwa na mwĩrĩ wakwa ikoorwo nĩ hinya nĩ ũndũ wa ihooru.
Show me favour, O Yahweh, for in distress am I, —Wasted with vexation, is mine eye—my soul and my body;
10 Muoyo wakwa nĩũniinĩtwo nĩ ruo rũnene, na mĩaka yakwa ĩkaniinwo nĩ gũcaaya; nĩnjũrĩtwo nĩ hinya nĩ ũndũ wa mĩnyamaro yakwa, namo mahĩndĩ makwa makaaga hinya.
For, consumed with sorrow, is my life, and my years with sighing, —My strength hath staggered with my humiliation, and, my bones, are without marrow.
11 Nĩ ũndũ wa thũ ciakwa ciothe, nduĩkĩte wa kũnyararwo nĩ andũ a itũũra rĩakwa; nduĩkĩte kĩndũ gĩa gwĩtigĩrwo nĩ arata akwa, nao arĩa maanyona njĩra-inĩ nĩ kũũra moraga.
By reason of all mine adversaries, have I become a reproach. Even to my neighbours, altogether, and a dread to mine acquaintance, —They who have seen me abroad, have fled from me:
12 Nĩmariganĩirwo nĩ niĩ o ta mũndũ ũkuĩte; ngakĩhaana o ta nyũngũ nguũ.
I have been forgotten, like one dead—out of mind, I have been as a missing vessel.
For I have heard the whispering of many—A terror round about! When they have sat in conclave together against me, to take away my life, have they intrigued.
14 No niĩ nĩwe ndĩhokete, Wee Jehova, ngoiga atĩrĩ, “Wee nĩwe Ngai wakwa.”
I, therefore. in thee, have put my trust, O Yahweh, I have said, My God, thou art!
15 Mahinda makwa marĩ moko-inĩ maku; ndeithũra kuuma kũrĩ thũ ciakwa, na kuuma kũrĩ arĩa maathingataga.
In thy hand, are my times, Rescue me from the hand of my foes and from my pursuers!
16 Tũma ũthiũ waku warĩre ndungata yaku; honokia nĩ ũndũ wa wendo waku ũtathiraga.
Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant, Save me in thy lovingkindness.
17 Wee Jehova, ndũkareke njonorithio, nĩgũkorwo nĩwe ngayagĩra; no andũ arĩa aaganu ũreke maconorithio na makome mbĩrĩra-inĩ makirĩte ki. (Sheol )
O Yahweh! let me not be ashamed, For I have called upon thee, Let the lawless be ashamed, Go down in silence to hades! (Sheol )
18 Tũma mĩromo yao ya kũheenania ĩkirio, nĩgũkorwo maaragia na mwĩtĩĩo na kĩnyararo, maaragia na mwĩgaatho magookĩrĩra andũ arĩa athingu.
Let false lips be made dumb, —which are speaking—against a righteous one—arrogantly, with pride and contempt.
19 Kaĩ wega waku ũrĩa ũigĩire arĩa magwĩtigĩrĩte, nĩ mũingĩ-ĩ, o wega ũrĩa ũheaga andũ arĩa moragĩra harĩwe andũ othe makĩonaga.
How great is thy goodness, which thou hast hidden away for them who revere thee, —Thou hast wrought for them who seek refuge in thee, in sight of the sons of men.
20 Ũmahithaga harĩa Wee ũrĩ o harĩa hegitĩtie, kuuma kũrĩ arĩa mamaciiragĩra kũmeka ũũru; ũmaigaga gĩikaro-inĩ gĩaku, ũkamagitĩra harĩ nĩmĩ iria icambanagia.
Thou wilt conceal them, in the secrecy of thine own presence, from the conspiracies of men, —Thou wilt hide them in a pavilion, from the strife of tongues.
21 Jehova arogoocwo, nĩgũkorwo nĩanyonirie wendo wake wa magegania rĩrĩa ndaarĩ itũũra inene rĩrigiicĩirio nĩ thũ.
Blessed be Yahweh, for he hath made wonderful his lovingkindness for me, in a fortified city.
22 Rĩrĩa ndaarĩ mũmaku, ndoigire atĩrĩ, “Nĩnjeheretio maitho-inĩ maku!” No nĩwaiguire ngĩgũthaitha ũnjiguĩre tha, rĩrĩa ndagũkaĩire ũndeithie.
But, I, had said in mine alarm, I am cut off from before thine eyes, —But, indeed, thou didst hear the voice of my supplication, when I cried for help unto thee.
23 Endai Jehova inyuĩ andũ ake aamũre! Jehova nĩamenyagĩrĩra arĩa ehokeku, no ũrĩa mwĩtĩĩi amũrĩhaga o ũrĩa kwagĩrĩire.
Love Yahweh, all ye his men of lovingkindness, —Faithfulness, doth Yahweh observe, but repayeth abundantly him that worketh proudly.
24 Gĩai na hinya na mwĩyũmĩrĩrie ngoro, inyuĩ inyuothe arĩa mwĩhokete Jehova.
Be strong, and let your heart be bold, all ye who are waiting for Yahweh.
