1 Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, ngoro yakwa ndĩmĩroretie na igũrũ kũrĩ we;
BY DAVID. [ALEPH-BET] To You, O YHWH, I lift up my soul.
2 Wee Ngai wakwa, nowe ndĩhokete. Ndũkareke njonorithio, o na kana ũreke thũ ciakwa ingenerere.
My God, in You I have trusted, Do not let me be ashamed, Do not let my enemies exult over me.
3 Gũtirĩ mũndũ ũkwĩhokete ũgaaconorithio o na rĩ, no arĩa mekaga andũ ũũru hatarĩ gĩtũmi-rĩ, acio nĩo magaconorithio.
Also let none waiting on You be ashamed, Let the treacherous dealers without cause be ashamed.
4 Wee Jehova, nyonia mĩthiĩre yaku, ũũmenyithie njĩra ciaku;
Your ways, O YHWH, cause me to know, You teach me Your paths.
5 ndongoria ũhoro-inĩ waku wa ma na ũndutage, nĩgũkorwo nĩwe Ngai ũrĩa ũũhonokagia, na nĩwe kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro gĩakwa mũthenya wothe.
Cause me to tread in Your truth, and teach me, For You [are] the God of my salvation, Near You I have waited all the day.
6 Jehova, ririkana tha ciaku nyingĩ o na wendo waku, nĩgũkorwo nĩ cia kuuma o tene.
Remember Your mercies, O YHWH, And Your kindnesses, for they [are] from the age.
7 Ndũkaririkane mehia ma ũnini wakwa, o na kana mehia makwa ma ũremi; ndirikana kũringana na wendani waku, nĩ ũndũ wa wega waku, Wee Jehova.
Sins of my youth, and my transgressions, Do not remember. According to Your kindness be mindful of me, For Your goodness’ sake, O YHWH.
8 Jehova nĩ mwega na nĩ mũrũngĩrĩru; nĩ ũndũ ũcio andũ arĩa ehia nĩarĩmonagĩrĩria njĩra ciake.
Good and upright [is] YHWH, Therefore He directs sinners in the way.
9 Atongoragia andũ arĩa menyiihagia na njĩra ĩrĩa yagĩrĩire, na akamarutaga njĩra yake.
He causes the humble to tread in judgment, And teaches the humble His way.
10 Njĩra ciothe cia Jehova nĩ cia wendani na wĩhokeku, harĩ arĩa mamenyagĩrĩra kĩrĩkanĩro gĩake.
All the paths of YHWH [are] kindness and truth, To those keeping His covenant, And His testimonies.
11 Wee Jehova, nĩ ũndũ wa rĩĩtwa rĩaku-rĩ, ndekera mehia makwa, o na gũtuĩka nĩ manene.
For Your Name’s sake, O YHWH, You have pardoned my iniquity, for it [is] great.
12 Mũndũ ũrĩa mwĩtigĩri Jehova nũũ? Mũndũ ũcio nĩarĩmuonagĩrĩria njĩra ĩrĩa aagĩrĩirwo nĩ kũgera.
Who [is] this—the man fearing YHWH? He directs him in the way He chooses.
13 Mũndũ ũcio egũtũũra matukũ make agaacĩire, nacio njiaro ciake nĩikaagaya bũrũri.
His soul remains in good, And his seed possesses the land.
14 Jehova nĩehokaga andũ arĩa mamwĩtigagĩra; nĩo amenyithagia kĩrĩkanĩro gĩake.
The secret of YHWH [is] for those fearing Him, And His covenant—to cause them to know.
15 Maitho makwa maikaraga hĩndĩ ciothe macũthĩrĩirie Jehova, nĩgũkorwo nowe wiki ũngĩteithũkithia magũrũ makwa mũtego-inĩ.
My eyes [are] continually to YHWH, For He brings my feet out from a net.
16 Hũgũkĩra, ũnyonie ũtugi waku, nĩgũkorwo ndĩ o nyiki na ndĩ mũnyamarĩku.
Turn to me, and favor me, For I [am] lonely and afflicted.
17 Mathĩĩna ma ngoro yakwa nĩmaingĩhĩte; niinĩra ruo rũrĩa ndĩ naruo.
The distresses of my heart have enlarged themselves, Bring me out from my distresses.
18 Rora mĩnyamaro yakwa o na gũtangĩka gwakwa, ũkĩndekere mehia makwa mothe.
See my affliction and my misery, And bear with all my sins.
19 Rora thũ ciakwa wone ũrĩa cingĩhĩte, nacio iithũire na rũthũũro rũtarĩ tha!
See my enemies, for they have been many, And they have hated me with violent hatred.
20 Menyagĩrĩra muoyo wakwa na ũũthare; ndũkareke njonorithio, nĩgũkorwo nĩ harĩwe njũragĩra.
Keep my soul, and deliver me, Do not let me be ashamed, for I trusted in You.
21 Wĩkindĩru wa ngoro na ũrũngĩrĩru irongitagĩra, tondũ nĩwe njĩrĩgagĩrĩra.
Integrity and uprightness keep me, For I have waited [on] You.
22 Wee Ngai, gĩkũũre andũ a Isiraeli, moime mathĩĩna-inĩ mao mothe!
Redeem Israel, O God, from all his distresses!
