< Thaburi 24 >
1 Thaburi ya Daudi Thĩ nĩ ya Jehova, na kĩrĩa gĩothe kĩrĩ thĩinĩ wayo, mabũrũri mothe o na arĩa matũũraga kuo;
“Of David a psalm.” Unto the Lord belongeth the earth with what filleth it, the world and they that dwell therein;
2 nĩgũkorwo nĩwe waakire mũthingi wayo igũrũ rĩa maria, na akĩmĩrũmia ĩikare igũrũ rĩa maaĩ.
For upon seas hath he founded it, and upon rivers hath he established it.
3 Nũũ ũngĩambata kĩrĩma-inĩ kĩa Jehova? Nũũ ũngĩrũgama handũ harĩa hake haamũre?
Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? and who shall be able to stand in his holy place?
4 Nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũrĩ na moko matheru na akaaga ũũru ngoro, na ũrĩa ngoro yake ĩtahooyaga mũhianano, o na kana akeehĩta na maheeni.
He that is of clean hands, and pure of heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, and hath not sworn deceitfully:
5 Mũndũ ũcio nĩarĩamũkagĩra kĩrathimo kuuma kũrĩ Jehova, na onagwo atarĩ mũhĩtia nĩ Ngai, Mũhonokia wake.
He shall bear away blessing from the Lord, and [the reward of] righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 Ũguo nĩguo rũciaro rwa arĩa mamũrongoragia rũtariĩ, o rũrĩa rũrongoragia ũthiũ waku, Wee Ngai wa Jakubu.
This is the generation of those that adore him, that seek thy presence, [the sons of] Jacob. (Selah)
7 Ambarariai mĩtwe yanyu, inyuĩ ihingo ici, ambararioi inyuĩ mĩrango ĩno ya tene, nĩguo Mũthamaki wa riiri atoonye thĩinĩ.
Raise your heads, O ye gates; and be raised wide, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!
8 Mũthamaki ũcio wa riiri nĩwe ũũ? Nĩwe Jehova ũrĩa ũrĩ hinya na nĩ njamba, nĩwe Jehova ũrĩa njamba ita-inĩ.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Ambarariai mĩtwe yanyu, inyuĩ ihingo ici, mĩambarariei inyuĩ mĩrango ĩno ya tene, nĩguo Mũthamaki wa riiri atoonye thĩinĩ.
Raise your heads, O ye gates; and raise [them] up, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!
10 Mũthamaki ũcio wa riiri nĩwe ũ? Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe-rĩ, nĩwe Mũthamaki wa riiri.
Who is then this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Selah)
