1 Goocai Jehova. Goocai Jehova mũrĩ kũu igũrũ, mũmũgooce mũrĩ kũu gũtũũgĩru mũno.
Praise Yahweh! Praise him, from up in heaven; praise him from way up in the sky!
2 Mũgoocei, inyuĩ araika ake othe, mũmũgooce, inyuothe mbũtũ ciake cia igũrũ.
All you angels who belong to him, praise him! All you who are in the armies of heaven, praise him!
3 Mũgoocei, inyuĩ riũa na mweri, mũgoocei, inyuothe njata iria icangararaga.
Sun and moon, [you also] praise him! You shining stars, you praise him!
4 Mũgoocei, inyuĩ igũrũ rĩa igũrũ, o na inyuĩ maaĩ ma kũu igũrũ wa matu.
You highest heavens, praise him! And you waters that are high above the sky, praise him!
5 Indo ciothe nĩikĩgooce rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova, nĩgũkorwo nĩwe wathanire na cio ikĩgĩa kuo.
I want [all of] these to praise Yahweh [MTY] because by commanding [them to exist], he created them.
6 Aaciigire handũ hacio itũũre ho tene na tene; aaheanire kĩrĩra kĩa watho wa kũrũmĩrĩrwo kĩrĩa gĩtagathira.
He determined the places where they should be [in the sky], and he commanded that they should be there forever. They cannot disobey that command!
7 Goocai Jehova gũkũ thĩ, inyuĩ ciũmbe cia iria-inĩ, na ũriku wothe wa maria marĩa manene,
And everything on the earth, praise Yahweh! You [huge] sea monsters and [everything else that is] deep [in the ocean],
8 rũheni, na mbura ya mbembe, na tharunji, na matu, na ihuhũkanio cia huho iria ihingagia kĩrĩra gĩake,
and fire and hail, and snow and frost, and strong winds that obey what he commands, [I tell] all of you to praise Yahweh!
9 inyuĩ irĩma, na tũrĩma tuothe, na mĩtĩ ya matunda, na mĩtarakwa yothe,
Hills and mountains, fruit trees and cedar [trees],
10 nyamũ cia gĩthaka, na ngʼombe ciothe, na ciũmbe iria nini, o na nyoni iria ciũmbũkaga,
all the wild animals and all [you] cattle, and the (reptiles/creatures that scurry across the ground), and [all] the birds, [I tell all of them to praise Yahweh]!
11 athamaki a thĩ, na ndũrĩrĩ ciothe, na inyuĩ anene, na aathani othe a thĩ,
You kings on this earth and all the people [that you rule], you princes and all [other] rulers,
12 aanake, na airĩtu, na andũ arĩa akũrũ, o na ciana.
you young men and young women, you old people and children, [everyone, praise Yahweh!]
13 Othe nĩmagoocage rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova, nĩgũkorwo rĩĩtwa rĩake riiki nĩrĩo rĩtũũgĩrie; riiri wake ũrĩ igũrũ rĩa thĩ o na rĩa matu.
I want them [all] to praise Yahweh [MTY] because he is greater than anyone else. His glory is greater than [anything on] the earth or [in] heaven.
14 Nĩambararĩtie rũhĩa nĩ ũndũ wa andũ ake, nĩruo ũgooci wa andũ ake arĩa aamũre, nĩo andũ a Isiraeli, andũ arĩa marĩ hakuhĩ na ngoro yake. Goocai Jehova.
He caused us, his people, to be strong in order that we, his people, we Israeli people (who are very precious to him/whom he loves very much), would praise him. So praise Yahweh!
