1 Goocai Jehova. Kaĩ nĩ ũndũ mwega kũgooca Ngai witũ na rwĩmbo-ĩ, kaĩ nĩ ũndũ mwega na mwagĩrĩru kũmũgooca-ĩ!
Praise ye Yah, For it is good, to make melody to our GOD, —For it is delightful, seemly is praise!
2 Jehova nĩwe wakaga Jerusalemu; nĩwe ũcookagĩrĩria andũ a Isiraeli arĩa matahĩtwo.
Yahweh, is building Jerusalem, The outcasts of Israel, will he gather together.
3 Nĩwe ũhonagia arĩa athuthĩku ngoro, na akamooha ironda ciao.
He is healing the broken in heart, —and binding up their hurts.
4 Nĩwe ũmenyaga mũigana wa njata, na akahe njata o njata rĩĩtwa rĩayo.
Counting the number of the stars, To all of them—names, he giveth.
5 Mwathani witũ nĩwe mũnene na nĩ arĩ hinya mũingĩ; ũmenyo wake ndũrĩ mũthia.
Great is our Lord, and of abounding strength, And, his knowledge, cannot be expressed.
6 Jehova nĩwe ũtiiragĩrĩra andũ arĩa ahooreri, no arĩa aaganu amatungumanagia thĩ.
Yahweh, relieveth the humbled! casting the lawless down to the earth.
7 Inĩrai Jehova mũmũcookerie ngaatho; inĩrai Ngai witũ na kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto.
Respond to Yahweh with thanksgiving, Make melody to our God with the lyre.
8 Nĩahumbagĩra igũrũ na matu; nĩwe uuragĩria thĩ mbura, na agatũma nyeki ĩmere tũrĩma-inĩ.
Who covereth the heavens with clouds, preparing rain for the earth, who causeth the mountains to sprout grass:
9 Nĩwe ũheaga ngʼombe irio, na akahe tũcui twa mahuru irio rĩrĩa twamũkaĩra.
Giving, to the beast, its food, to the young ravens, when they cry.
10 We ndakenagĩra hinya wa mbarathi, o na kana agakenera magũrũ ma mũndũ;
Not in the strength of the horse, doth he delight, Not in the legs of a man, hath he pleasure:
11 Jehova akenagio nĩ andũ arĩa mamwĩtigagĩra, o arĩa maigaga mwĩhoko wao harĩ wendo wake ũrĩa ũtathiraga.
Yahweh, hath pleasure, in them who revere him, in them who wait for his lovingkindness.
12 Wee Jerusalemu, kumia Jehova; gooca Ngai waku, wee Zayuni,
Laud thou, O Jerusalem, Yahweh, Praise thy God, O Zion:
13 nĩgũkorwo nĩwe wĩkagĩra mĩgĩĩko ya ihingo ciaku hinya, na akarathima andũ aku arĩa marĩ thĩinĩ waku.
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates, He hath blessed thy children in thy midst:
14 Nĩatũmĩte kũgĩe thayũ mĩhaka-inĩ yaku, na agakũhũũnia na ngano ĩrĩa njega mũno.
Who maketh thy boundaries to be peace, With the marrow of wheat, doth he satisfy thee:
15 Atũmaga wathani wake ũkinye gũkũ thĩ; kiugo gĩake kĩhanyũkaga narua mũno.
Who sendeth his utterance to the earth, How swiftly, runneth his word!
16 Oiragia tharunji ĩhaana ta guoya mwerũ cua, nayo mbaa akamĩhurunja ta mũhu.
Who giveth snow like wool, Hoar-frost—like ashes, he scattereth:
17 Mbura ya mbembe amiuragia taarĩ kagoto karoira. Nũũ ũngĩhota gwĩtiiria heho ĩyo yake?
Casting forth his ice like crumbs, Before his cold, who can stand?
18 Atũmaga kiugo gĩake agatũma itwekũke; ahurutithanagia rũhuho, namo maaĩ magatherera.
He sendeth forth his word and melteth them, He causeth his wind to blow, the waters, stream along:
19 Nĩaguũrĩtie kiugo gĩake harĩ Jakubu, akaguũrĩria Isiraeli mawatho make na kĩrĩra kĩa watho wake wa kũrũmĩrĩrwo.
Declaring his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his regulations, unto Israel.
20 Ndarĩ ekĩra rũrĩrĩ rũngĩ ta ũguo, mawatho macio make ndũrĩrĩ itirĩ ciamamenya. Goocai Jehova.
He hath not dealt so with any nation, and, his regulations, he maketh not known to them. Praise ye Yah!
