1 Goocai Jehova. Kaĩ nĩ ũndũ mwega kũgooca Ngai witũ na rwĩmbo-ĩ, kaĩ nĩ ũndũ mwega na mwagĩrĩru kũmũgooca-ĩ!
Halleluyah ·praise Yah·, for it is good to sing tehilahot ·praise songs· to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to make zahmar ·musical praise· unto him.
2 Jehova nĩwe wakaga Jerusalemu; nĩwe ũcookagĩrĩria andũ a Isiraeli arĩa matahĩtwo.
Adonai builds up Jerusalem [City of peace]. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel [God prevails].
3 Nĩwe ũhonagia arĩa athuthĩku ngoro, na akamooha ironda ciao.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
4 Nĩwe ũmenyaga mũigana wa njata, na akahe njata o njata rĩĩtwa rĩayo.
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
5 Mwathani witũ nĩwe mũnene na nĩ arĩ hinya mũingĩ; ũmenyo wake ndũrĩ mũthia.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
6 Jehova nĩwe ũtiiragĩrĩra andũ arĩa ahooreri, no arĩa aaganu amatungumanagia thĩ.
Adonai upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
7 Inĩrai Jehova mũmũcookerie ngaatho; inĩrai Ngai witũ na kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto.
Sing to Adonai with thanksgiving. Sing zahmar ·musical praise· on the harp to our God,
8 Nĩahumbagĩra igũrũ na matu; nĩwe uuragĩria thĩ mbura, na agatũma nyeki ĩmere tũrĩma-inĩ.
who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.
9 Nĩwe ũheaga ngʼombe irio, na akahe tũcui twa mahuru irio rĩrĩa twamũkaĩra.
He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.
10 We ndakenagĩra hinya wa mbarathi, o na kana agakenera magũrũ ma mũndũ;
He does not delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 Jehova akenagio nĩ andũ arĩa mamwĩtigagĩra, o arĩa maigaga mwĩhoko wao harĩ wendo wake ũrĩa ũtathiraga.
Adonai takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his cheshed ·loving-kindness·.
12 Wee Jerusalemu, kumia Jehova; gooca Ngai waku, wee Zayuni,
Praise Adonai, Jerusalem [City of peace]! Praise your God, Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]!
13 nĩgũkorwo nĩwe wĩkagĩra mĩgĩĩko ya ihingo ciaku hinya, na akarathima andũ aku arĩa marĩ thĩinĩ waku.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.
14 Nĩatũmĩte kũgĩe thayũ mĩhaka-inĩ yaku, na agakũhũũnia na ngano ĩrĩa njega mũno.
He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
15 Atũmaga wathani wake ũkinye gũkũ thĩ; kiugo gĩake kĩhanyũkaga narua mũno.
He sends his word out over the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
16 Oiragia tharunji ĩhaana ta guoya mwerũ cua, nayo mbaa akamĩhurunja ta mũhu.
He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
17 Mbura ya mbembe amiuragia taarĩ kagoto karoira. Nũũ ũngĩhota gwĩtiiria heho ĩyo yake?
He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?
18 Atũmaga kiugo gĩake agatũma itwekũke; ahurutithanagia rũhuho, namo maaĩ magatherera.
He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 Nĩaguũrĩtie kiugo gĩake harĩ Jakubu, akaguũrĩria Isiraeli mawatho make na kĩrĩra kĩa watho wake wa kũrũmĩrĩrwo.
He shows his word to Jacob [Supplanter]; his statutes and his judgments to Israel [God prevails].
20 Ndarĩ ekĩra rũrĩrĩ rũngĩ ta ũguo, mawatho macio make ndũrĩrĩ itirĩ ciamamenya. Goocai Jehova.
He has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his judgments. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
