< Thaburi 144 >

1 Thaburi ya Daudi Jehova arogoocwo, o we Rwaro rwakwa rwa Ihiga, o we ũmenyithagia moko makwa mũrũĩre wa mbaara, agakĩruta ciara ciakwa kũrũa mbaara.
BY DAVID. Blessed [is] YHWH my Rock, Who is teaching My hands for war, My fingers for battle.
2 Nĩwe Ngai ũrĩa ũnyendete, na nĩwe kĩirigo gĩakwa kĩa hinya, o we kĩĩhitho gĩakwa na mũhonokia wakwa, ningĩ nĩwe ngo yakwa, na nĩ harĩ we njũragĩra, o we ũtũmaga andũ a ndũrĩrĩ maathĩke marĩ rungu rwakwa.
My kind one, and my bulwark, My tower, and my deliverer, My shield, and in whom I have trusted, Who is subduing my people under me!
3 Wee Jehova, mũndũ akĩrĩ kĩ nĩguo ũmũmenyagĩrĩre, nake mũrũ wa mũndũ akĩrĩ kĩ nĩgeetha ũmũrũmbũyagie?
YHWH, what [is] man that You know him? The son of man, that You esteem him?
4 Mũndũ no ta mĩhũmũ; matukũ make mathiraga na ihenya o ta kĩĩruru.
Man has been like a breath, His days [are] as a shadow passing by.
5 Wee Jehova, hingũra igũrũ ũikũrũke; hutia irĩma, nĩgeetha irute ndogo.
YHWH, incline Your heavens and come down, Strike against mountains, and they smoke.
6 Henũkia rũheni ũhurunje thũ ciaku; ikia mĩguĩ yaku ũcingatithie.
Send forth lightning, and scatter them, Send forth Your arrows, and trouble them,
7 Tambũrũkia guoko gwaku ũrĩ igũrũ; ndeithũra na ũũthare kuuma kũrĩ maaĩ maya maingĩ, ũndute kuuma moko-inĩ ma andũ a kũngĩ
Send forth Your hand from on high, Free me, and deliver me from many waters, From the hand of sons of a stranger,
8 arĩa tũnua twao twaragia maheeni, o acio moko mao ma ũrĩo marĩ na wara.
Because their mouth has spoken vanity, And their right hand [is] a right hand of falsehood.
9 Wee Ngai, nĩngũkũinĩra rwĩmbo rwerũ; ngũkũinĩra na kĩnanda kĩrĩa kĩgeetetwo na nga ikũmi,
O God, I sing to You a new song, I sing praise to You on a stringed instrument of ten strings.
10 nyinĩre Ũrĩa ũhootanagĩra athamaki, o we ũhonokagia Daudi ndungata yake harĩ rũhiũ rwa njora rwa ũragani.
Who is giving deliverance to kings, Who is freeing His servant David from the sword of evil.
11 Ndeithũra na ũũthare, ũndute kuuma moko-inĩ ma andũ a kũngĩ, arĩa tũnua twao twaragia maheeni, o acio moko mao ma ũrĩo marĩ ma wara.
Free me, and deliver me From the hand of sons of a stranger, Because their mouth has spoken vanity, And their right hand [is] a right hand of falsehood,
12 Hĩndĩ ĩyo aanake aitũ magaatuĩka ta mĩmera mĩrore wega wĩthĩ-inĩ wao, nao airĩtu aitũ mahaane ta itugĩ ciacũhĩtio cia kũgemia nyũmba ya ũthamaki.
Because our sons [are] as plants, Becoming great in their youth, Our daughters as hewn stones, Polished—the likeness of a palace,
13 Makũmbĩ maitũ makaiyũragio irio cia mĩthemba yothe. Ngʼondu ciitũ ikaingĩha ikinye ngiri nyingĩ, cingĩhe ikinye makũmi ma ngiri kũu mĩgũnda-inĩ iitũ;
Our granaries [are] full, bringing out from kind to kind, Our flocks are bringing forth thousands, Ten thousands in our out-places,
14 nacio ndegwa ciitũ nĩigakuuaga mĩrigo mĩritũ. Thingo itigakorwo na mĩanya, kana gũtahwo tũtwarwo ũkombo-inĩ, o na gũtigakorwo na kĩrĩro kĩa mĩnyamaro njĩra-inĩ cia matũũra.
Our oxen are carrying, there is no breach, And there is no outgoing, And there is no crying in our broad places.
15 Kũrathimwo nĩ andũ arĩa matariĩ ta ũguo; kũrathimwo nĩ andũ arĩa Ngai wao arĩ we Jehova.
O the blessedness of the people that is thus, O the blessedness of the people whose God [is] YHWH!
