< Thaburi 144 >
1 Thaburi ya Daudi Jehova arogoocwo, o we Rwaro rwakwa rwa Ihiga, o we ũmenyithagia moko makwa mũrũĩre wa mbaara, agakĩruta ciara ciakwa kũrũa mbaara.
A Psalme of David. Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth mine hands to fight, and my fingers to battell.
2 Nĩwe Ngai ũrĩa ũnyendete, na nĩwe kĩirigo gĩakwa kĩa hinya, o we kĩĩhitho gĩakwa na mũhonokia wakwa, ningĩ nĩwe ngo yakwa, na nĩ harĩ we njũragĩra, o we ũtũmaga andũ a ndũrĩrĩ maathĩke marĩ rungu rwakwa.
He is my goodnes and my fortresse, my towre and my deliuerer, my shield, and in him I trust, which subdueth my people vnder me.
3 Wee Jehova, mũndũ akĩrĩ kĩ nĩguo ũmũmenyagĩrĩre, nake mũrũ wa mũndũ akĩrĩ kĩ nĩgeetha ũmũrũmbũyagie?
Lord, what is man that thou regardest him! or the sonne of man that thou thinkest vpon him!
4 Mũndũ no ta mĩhũmũ; matukũ make mathiraga na ihenya o ta kĩĩruru.
Man is like to vanitie: his dayes are like a shadow, that vanisheth.
5 Wee Jehova, hingũra igũrũ ũikũrũke; hutia irĩma, nĩgeetha irute ndogo.
Bow thine heauens, O Lord, and come downe: touch the mountaines and they shall smoke.
6 Henũkia rũheni ũhurunje thũ ciaku; ikia mĩguĩ yaku ũcingatithie.
Cast forth the lightning and scatter them: shoote out thine arrowes, and consume them.
7 Tambũrũkia guoko gwaku ũrĩ igũrũ; ndeithũra na ũũthare kuuma kũrĩ maaĩ maya maingĩ, ũndute kuuma moko-inĩ ma andũ a kũngĩ
Send thine hand from aboue: deliuer me, and take me out of the great waters, and from the hand of strangers,
8 arĩa tũnua twao twaragia maheeni, o acio moko mao ma ũrĩo marĩ na wara.
Whose mouth talketh vanitie, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 Wee Ngai, nĩngũkũinĩra rwĩmbo rwerũ; ngũkũinĩra na kĩnanda kĩrĩa kĩgeetetwo na nga ikũmi,
I wil sing a new song vnto thee, O God, and sing vnto thee vpon a viole, and an instrument of ten strings.
10 nyinĩre Ũrĩa ũhootanagĩra athamaki, o we ũhonokagia Daudi ndungata yake harĩ rũhiũ rwa njora rwa ũragani.
It is he that giueth deliuerance vnto Kings, and rescueth Dauid his seruant from the hurtfull sworde.
11 Ndeithũra na ũũthare, ũndute kuuma moko-inĩ ma andũ a kũngĩ, arĩa tũnua twao twaragia maheeni, o acio moko mao ma ũrĩo marĩ ma wara.
Rescue me, and deliuer me from the hand of strangers, whose mouth talketh vanitie, and their right hand is a right hand of falshood:
12 Hĩndĩ ĩyo aanake aitũ magaatuĩka ta mĩmera mĩrore wega wĩthĩ-inĩ wao, nao airĩtu aitũ mahaane ta itugĩ ciacũhĩtio cia kũgemia nyũmba ya ũthamaki.
That our sonnes may be as the plantes growing vp in their youth, and our daughters as the corner stones, grauen after the similitude of a palace:
13 Makũmbĩ maitũ makaiyũragio irio cia mĩthemba yothe. Ngʼondu ciitũ ikaingĩha ikinye ngiri nyingĩ, cingĩhe ikinye makũmi ma ngiri kũu mĩgũnda-inĩ iitũ;
That our corners may be full, and abounding with diuers sorts, and that our sheepe may bring forth thousands and ten thousand in our streetes:
14 nacio ndegwa ciitũ nĩigakuuaga mĩrigo mĩritũ. Thingo itigakorwo na mĩanya, kana gũtahwo tũtwarwo ũkombo-inĩ, o na gũtigakorwo na kĩrĩro kĩa mĩnyamaro njĩra-inĩ cia matũũra.
That our oxen may be strong to labour: that there be none inuasion, nor going out, nor no crying in our streetes.
15 Kũrathimwo nĩ andũ arĩa matariĩ ta ũguo; kũrathimwo nĩ andũ arĩa Ngai wao arĩ we Jehova.
Blessed are the people, that be so, yea, blessed are the people, whose God is the Lord.
