< Thaburi 141 >

1 Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, nĩwe ndĩrakaĩra; hiũha ũũke kũrĩ niĩ. Igua mũgambo wakwa ngĩgũkaĩra.
I have cried to the, O Lord, hear me: hearken to my voice, when I cry to thee.
2 Ihooya rĩakwa rĩroambata mbere yaku ta mũtararĩko wa ũbumba; nakuo kwambararia moko makwa kũrotuĩka ta igongona rĩa hwaĩ-inĩ.
Let my prayer be directed as incense in thy sight; the lifting up of my hands, as evening sacrifice.
3 Wee Jehova, iga mũrangĩri kanua-inĩ gakwa, rangagĩra mũrango ũyũ wa mĩromo yakwa.
Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth: and a door round about my lips.
4 Ndũkareke ngoro yakwa ĩguucĩrĩrio ũndũ-inĩ mũũru, ndigatuĩke wa gwĩka ciĩko cia waganu hamwe na andũ arĩa amaramari; Ndũkareke ndĩe irio ciao iria irĩ mũrĩo.
Incline not my heart to evil words; to make excuses in sins. With men that work iniquity: and I will not communicate with the choicest of them.
5 Mũndũ mũthingu nĩakĩĩninge: ũndũ ũcio nĩ wa kũnyonia ũtugi; kũndũithia nĩakĩndũithie: ũguo no ta kũnjitĩrĩria maguta mũtwe wakwa. Mũtwe wakwa ndũngĩrega gũitĩrĩrio maguta macio. No rĩrĩ, ihooya rĩakwa nĩ rĩa gũtũũra ndeganĩte na ciĩko cia andũ arĩa meekaga ũũru;
The just shall correct me in mercy, and shall reprove me: but let not the oil of the sinner fatten my head. For my prayer also shall still be against the things with which they are well pleased:
6 aathani ao magaikio thĩ kuuma igũrũ rĩa rwaro rwa ihiga, nao arĩa aaganu nĩmakamenya atĩ ciugo ciakwa ciarĩ cia ma.
Their judges falling upon the rock have been swallowed up. They shall hear my words, for they have prevailed:
7 Nĩmakoiga atĩrĩ, “O ta ũrĩa mũndũ acimbaga mũgũnda na akahũũra hianyũ, no taguo mahĩndĩ maitũ maharaganĩtio mũromo-inĩ wa mbĩrĩra.” (Sheol h7585)
As when the thickness of the earth is broken up upon the ground: Our bones are scattered by the side of hell. (Sheol h7585)
8 No rĩrĩ, maitho makwa nĩwe macũthĩrĩirie, Wee Mwathani Jehova; nĩ harĩwe njũragĩra; nĩ ũndũ ũcio ndũkareke ngue.
But o to thee, O Lord, Lord, are my eyes: in thee have I put my trust, take not away my soul.
9 Ngitĩra ndikanyiitwo nĩ mĩtego ĩrĩa nyambĩirwo, ũnjehanĩrĩrie na mĩtego ya andũ arĩa mekaga ũũru.
Keep me from the snare, which they have laid for me, and from the stumblingblocks of them that work iniquity.
10 Andũ acio aaganu maroogwa wabu-inĩ wao ene, no niĩ ngĩhĩtũkage itekuona ũgwati.
The wicked shall fall in his net: I am alone until I pass.
