< Thaburi 14 >

To the Chief Musician. David’s. The impious hath said in his heart—There is no God! They have acted corruptly, they have done an abominable deed, there is none that doeth good.
2 Jehova aroraga ciana cia ariũ a andũ arĩ o igũrũ, one kana nĩ harĩ ũrĩ na ũmenyo, o na kana nĩ harĩ ũrongoragia Ngai.
Yahweh, out of the heavens, looked down over the sons of men, —to see whether there was one that showed wisdom, enquiring after God: —
3 Othe-rĩ, nĩmorĩte njĩra, magatuĩka amaramari marĩ hamwe; gũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũmwe wĩkaga wega, gũtirĩ o na ũmwe.
The whole, have turned aside, Together have they become tainted, —There is none that doeth good, not so much as, one!
4 Andũ acio mekaga maũndũ mooru kaĩ matamenyaga, o acio marĩĩaga andũ akwa o ta ũrĩa andũ marĩĩaga irio, o acio matakayagĩra Jehova?
Are all the workers of iniquity, without knowledge? devouring my people [as] they devour food! Upon Yahweh, have they not called.
5 Hau nĩho marĩ manyiitĩtwo nĩ guoya mũnene, nĩgũkorwo Ngai aikaraga hamwe na thiritũ ya arĩa athingu.
There have they been in great dread, because, God, is in the circle of the righteous man.
6 Inyuĩ andũ aya aaganu nĩmũthũkagia mĩbango ya arĩa athĩĩni, no Jehova nĩwe rĩũrĩro rĩao.
The purpose of the poor, ye would put to shame, because, Yahweh, is his refuge.
7 Naarĩ korwo ũhonokio wa Isiraeli no ũgĩũke kuuma Zayuni! Rĩrĩa Jehova agaacookeria andũ ake indo ciao-rĩ, Jakubu nĩagĩkene, na Isiraeli acanjamũke.
Oh that, out of Zion, were granted the salvation of Israel! When Yahweh bringeth back the captives of his people, Jacob, shall exult, Israel, be glad.
