1 Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, nĩngũkũgooca na ngoro yakwa yothe; ngũkũinĩra ngũgooce ngai iria ingĩ irĩ o ho.
David’s. I will give thee thanks with all my heart, Before the messengers of God, will I praise thee in song:
2 Ngũinamĩrĩra njerekeire hekarũ-inĩ yaku ĩrĩa nyamũre, ngooce rĩĩtwa rĩaku, nĩ ũndũ wa wendo waku na wĩhokeku waku, nĩgũkorwo nĩũtũũgĩrĩtie rĩĩtwa rĩaku, na ũgatũũgĩria kiugo gĩaku makĩria ya maũndũ marĩa mangĩ mothe.
I will bow down towards thy holy temple, and thank thy Name, for thy lovingkindness and for thy faithfulness, For thou hast magnified, above all thy Name, thy word!
3 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ndagwĩtire, nĩwanjĩtĩkire; wanyũmĩrĩirie na ũkĩnjĩkĩra hinya ngoro.
In the day I cried unto thee, then didst thou answer me, and didst excite me, in my soul, mightily.
4 Wee Jehova-rĩ, athamaki othe a thĩ nĩmakũgoocage, rĩrĩa maigua ciugo cia kanua gaku.
All the kings of the earth, will thank thee, O Yahweh, when they have heard the sayings of thy mouth;
5 Nĩmaganage ũhoro wa njĩra cia Jehova, nĩgũkorwo riiri wa Jehova nĩ mũnene.
And they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, That great is the glory of Yahweh:
6 O na gũtũĩka Jehova arĩ igũrũ-rĩ, nĩaroraga andũ arĩa enyiihia, no arĩa etĩĩi akamenya ũhoro wao arĩ o kũraya.
Though lofty is Yahweh, yet, the lowly, he regardeth, but, the haughty—afar off, doth he acknowledge.
Though I walk in the midst of distress, thou wilt give me life, —Because of the anger of my foes, thou wilt thrust forth thy hand, and thy right hand, will save me:
8 Jehova nĩakahingia muoroto wake harĩ niĩ; wendo waku, Wee Jehova, nĩ wa tene na tene; nĩ ũndũ ũcio ndũgatiganĩrie wĩra wa moko maku.
Yahweh, will carry through my cause, —O Yahweh! thy lovingkindness, is age-abiding, The works of thine own hands, do not thou desert.
