< Thaburi 135 >
1 Goocai Jehova. Goocai rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova; inyuĩ ndungata cia Jehova-rĩ, mũgoocei,
Alleluia. Praise you the name of the Lord; praise the Lord, [you his] servants,
2 inyuĩ mũtungataga thĩinĩ wa nyũmba ya Jehova, o inyuĩ mũrũgamaga nja-inĩ cia nyũmba ya Ngai witũ.
who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.
3 Goocai Jehova, nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩ mwega; inai mũgooce rĩĩtwa rĩake, nĩgũkorwo nĩ rĩega.
Praise you the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises to his name; for [it is] good.
4 Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩethuurĩire Jakubu atuĩke wake, agathuura Isiraeli atuĩke igai rĩake kĩũmbe.
For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
5 Niĩ nĩnjũũĩ atĩ Jehova nĩ mũnene, atĩ Mwathani witũ nĩ mũnene gũkĩra ngai ciothe.
For I know that the Lord is great, and our Lord is above all gods;
6 Jehova ekaga ũrĩa wothe ekwenda, kũu igũrũ na gũkũ thĩ, o na kũu iria-inĩ o na kũrĩa guothe kũriku mũno.
all that the Lord willed, he did in heaven, and on the earth, in the sea, and in all deeps.
7 Nĩwe ũtũmaga matu mambate kuuma ituri-inĩ cia thĩ; nĩwe ũtũmaga kũgĩe heni irehanĩte na mbura, na akarehe rũhuho kuuma mĩthithũ-inĩ yake.
Who brings up clouds from the extremity of the earth: he has made lightnings for the rain: he brings winds out of his treasures.
8 Nĩwe waringire marigithathi ma Misiri, marigithathi ma andũ na ma nyamũ.
Who struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
9 Wee Misiri, nĩwe watũmire thĩinĩ waku kũringwo ciama na morirũ, agĩũkĩrĩra Firaũni na ndungata ciake ciothe.
He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt, on Pharao, and on all his servants.
10 Nĩwe waringire ndũrĩrĩ nyingĩ na akĩũraga athamaki maarĩ hinya:
Who struck many nations, and killed mighty kings;
11 nĩo Sihoni mũthamaki wa Aamori, na Ogu mũthamaki wa Bashani, o na athamaki othe a Kaanani;
Seon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Basan, and all the kingdoms of Chanaan:
12 akĩheana bũrũri wao ũtuĩke igai, ũtuĩke igai kũrĩ andũ ake a Isiraeli.
and gave their land [for] an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.
13 Rĩĩtwa rĩaku, Wee Jehova, rĩtũũraga nginya tene, ngumo yaku, Wee Jehova, ĩgakinyĩra njiarwa na njiarwa.
O Lord, your name [endures] for ever, and your memorial to all generations.
14 Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩagaciirĩrĩra andũ ake, na aiguĩre ndungata ciake tha.
For the Lord shall judge his people, and comfort himself concerning his servants.
15 Mĩhianano ya ndũrĩrĩ ĩthondeketwo na betha na thahabu, o wĩra wa moko ma andũ.
The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the works of men's hands.
16 Nĩĩrĩ tũnua, no ndĩaragia, nĩĩrĩ maitho, no ndĩonaga;
They have a mouth, but they can’t speak; they have eyes, but they can’t see;
17 nĩĩrĩ matũ, no ndĩiguaga, o na ndĩrĩ mĩhũmũ tũnua-inĩ twayo.
they have ears, but they can’t hear; for there is no breath in their mouth.
18 Andũ arĩa mamĩthondekaga makaahaana o tayo, na noguo arĩa othe mamĩĩhokaga makaahaana.
Let those who make them be made like to them; and all those who trust in them.
19 Inyuĩ nyũmba ya Isiraeli, goocai Jehova; Inyuĩ nyũmba ya Harũni, goocai Jehova;
O house of Israel, bless you the Lord: O house of Aaron, bless you the Lord:
20 Inyuĩ nyũmba ya Lawi, goocai Jehova; inyuĩ arĩa mũmwĩtigĩrĩte, goocai Jehova.
O house of Levi, bless you the Lord: you that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
21 Jehova arogoocwo kuuma Zayuni, o we ũtũũraga kũu Jerusalemu. Goocai Jehova.
Blessed in Sion be the Lord, who dwells in Jerusalem.
