< Thaburi 130 >
1 Thaburi ya Agendi Wee Jehova-rĩ, ndĩragũkaĩra ndĩ o kũrĩa kũriku;
“A song of the degrees.” Out of the depths have I called thee, O Lord.
2 Wee Jehova, igua mũgambo wakwa. Matũ maku nĩmaigue ngĩgũkaĩra ũnjiguĩre tha.
Lord, listen to my voice: let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 Wee Jehova, korwo no ũtare maita marĩa tũkwĩhagĩria-rĩ, nũũ ũngĩgwĩtiiria, Wee Jehova?
If thou, Lord, shouldst treasure up iniquities, O Lord, who would be able to stand?
4 No rĩrĩ, Wee nĩũrekanagĩra; nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩwĩtigĩrĩtwo.
But with thee there is forgiveness, in order that thou mayest be feared.
5 Njetagĩrĩra Jehova, ngoro yakwa nĩĩmwetereire, niĩ ndĩĩhokaga kiugo gĩake.
I hope for the Lord, my soul doth hope, and for his word do I wait.
6 Ngoro yakwa yetagĩrĩra Jehova, gũkĩra ũrĩa arangĩri metagĩrĩra rũciinĩ gũkĩe, ĩĩ-ni, gũkĩra ũrĩa arangĩri metagĩrĩra rũciinĩ gũkĩe.
My soul [waiteth] for the Lord, more than they that watch for the morning expect the morning.
7 Wee Isiraeli, wĩhokage Jehova, nĩgũkorwo harĩ Jehova he wendo ũrĩa ũtathiraga, na ningĩ harĩ we harĩ na ũhonokio kũna.
Let Israel wait for the Lord; for with the Lord there is kindness, and with him is redemption in abundance;
8 We mwene nĩagakũũra Isiraeli kuuma mehia-inĩ mao mothe.
And he wilt surely redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
