< Thaburi 13 >
1 Thaburi ya Daudi Nĩ nginya rĩ, Wee Jehova? Ũgũtũũra ũriganĩirwo nĩ niĩ nginya tene? Nĩ nginya rĩ ũgũtũũra ũũhithĩte ũthiũ waku?
To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. How long, O Yahweh, wilt thou wholly forget me? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2 Nĩ nginya rĩ ngũtũũra ngianaga na meciiria makwa, na o mũthenya ngoragwo na ihooru ngoro-inĩ yakwa? Nĩ nginya rĩ thũ yakwa ĩgũtũũra ĩĩhootaga?
How long shall I lay up cares within my soul, sorrow in my heart, day by day? How long shall mine enemy lift himself up over me?
3 Wee Jehova, Ngai wakwa, ndora na ũnjookerie ũhoro. Tũma maitho makwa mone, nĩguo ndikae gũkoma toro wa gĩkuũ;
Have regard! answer me O Yahweh my God, —Light up mine eyes, lest I sleep on into death:
4 nĩguo thũ yakwa ndĩkoige atĩrĩ, “Nĩndĩmũhootete,” nao arĩa marĩ muku na niĩ magĩkenere kũgũa gwakwa.
Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed over him! and, mine adversaries, exult, that I totter.
5 No niĩ ndĩhokete wendo waku ũrĩa ũtathiraga; ngoro yakwa ĩkenagĩra ũhonokio waku.
But, I, in thy lovingkindness, have put my trust, My heart shall exult in thy salvation:
6 Nĩngũinĩra Jehova, nĩgũkorwo nĩanjĩkĩte wega mũno.
I will sing to Yahweh, for he hath dealt beautifully with me.
