1 Thaburi ya Agendi Kũrathimwo nĩ mũndũ o wothe wĩtigĩrĩte Jehova, o ũcio ũgeragĩra njĩra ciake.
“A song of the degrees.” Happy is every one that feareth the Lord, that walketh in his ways.
2 Nĩũkarĩĩaga maciaro ma wĩra waku; irathimo na kũgaacĩra nĩigatuĩka ciaku.
When thou eatest the labor of thy hands: [then] wilt thou be happy, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Mũtumia waku egũtuĩka ta mũthabibũ ũrĩa ũciaraga mũno arĩ kũu nyũmba-inĩ yaku thĩinĩ; ciana ciaku ituĩke ta thuuna cia mũtamaiyũ ithiũrũrũkĩirie metha yaku.
Thy wife is [then] as a fruitful vine in the recesses of thy house: thy children, like olive-plants round about thy table.
4 Ũguo nĩguo mũndũ arĩrathimagwo, ũrĩa wĩtigĩrĩte Jehova.
Behold, truly thus shall be blessed the man that feareth the Lord.
5 Jehova arokũrathimaga arĩ Zayuni matukũ mothe ma muoyo waku; ũroona kũgaacĩra kwa Jerusalemu,
May the Lord bless thee out of Zion: and see thou the happiness of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 na ũtũũre muoyo, ũkoona ciana cia ciana ciaku. Thayũ ũrogĩa Isiraeli.
And see thou thy children's children: may there be peace upon Israel.
