Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, for he is good, for his cheshed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
2 Andũ a Isiraeli nĩmoige atĩrĩ, “Wendo wake nĩ wa tene na tene.”
Let Israel [God prevails] now say that his cheshed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Let the house of Aaron [Light-bringer] now say that his cheshed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Now let those who fear Adonai say that his cheshed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
5 Ndakaĩire Jehova ndĩ mĩnyamaro-inĩ, nake akĩnjĩtĩka na akĩndeithũra.
Out of my distress, I called on Yah. Yah answered me with freedom.
6 Jehova arĩ hamwe na niĩ; ndingĩĩtigĩra. Mũndũ-rĩ, nĩ atĩa angĩhota kũnjĩka?
With Adonai on my side. I will not be afraid. What can a human being do to me?
7 Jehova arĩ hamwe na niĩ; nĩwe mũndeithia. Nĩngerorera thũ ciakwa ikĩhootwo.
Adonai is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me.
8 Nĩ kaba kũũrĩra harĩ Jehova, gũkĩra kwĩhoka mũndũ.
It is better to take refuge in Adonai, than to put confidence in man.
9 Nĩ kaba kũũrĩra harĩ Jehova, gũkĩra kwĩhoka anene.
It is better to take refuge in Adonai, than to put confidence in princes.
10 Ndarigiicĩirio nĩ ndũrĩrĩ ciothe, no tondũ wa kwĩhoka rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova, ngĩciananga.
All the nations surrounded me, but in Adonai’s name, I cut them off.
11 Ciandigiicĩirie mĩena yothe, no tondũ wa kwĩhoka rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova, ngĩciananga.
They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. In Adonai’s name I indeed cut them off.
12 Ciathiũrũrũkĩirie na mĩena yothe ta njũkĩ, no ikĩhora narua o ta mwaki wa mĩigua; tondũ wa kwĩhoka rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova ngĩciananga.
They surrounded me like bees. They are quenched like the burning thorns. In Adonai’s name I cut them off.
13 Ndahatĩkĩtwo mũno nĩ thũ hakuhĩ ngwe, no Jehova akĩndeithia.
You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, but Adonai helped me.
14 Jehova nĩwe hinya wakwa na nĩwe ũtũmaga nyine; nake nĩatuĩkĩte ũhonokio wakwa.
Yah is my strength and song. He has become my yishu'ah ·salvation·.
The voice of rejoicing and yishu'ah ·salvation· is in the tents of the upright. “The right hand of Adonai does valiantly.
16 Guoko kwa ũrĩo kwa Jehova nĩ kwambararie; guoko kwa ũrĩo kwa Jehova nĩ gwĩkĩte maũndũ manene!”
The right hand of Adonai is exalted! The right hand of Adonai does valiantly!”
17 Niĩ gũkua ndigũkua, no nĩngũtũũra muoyo, ngʼanage ũrĩa Jehova ekĩte.
I will not die, but live, and declare Yah’s works.
18 Jehova nĩaherithĩtie mũno, no ndandekereirie ngue.
Yah has punished me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
19 Hingũrĩrai ihingo cia ũthingu; nĩngũtoonya njookerie Jehova ngaatho.
Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them. I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Yah.
20 Gĩkĩ nĩkĩo kĩhingo kĩa Jehova kĩrĩa andũ arĩa athingu mangĩtoonyera.
This is the gate of Adonai; the upright will enter into it.
21 Nĩ ngaatho ngũgũcookeria, nĩgũkorwo nĩwanjĩtĩkire; nĩũtuĩkĩte ũhonokio wakwa.
I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you, for you have answered me, and have become my yishu'ah ·salvation·.
22 Ihiga rĩrĩa aaki maaregire nĩrĩo rĩtuĩkĩte ihiga inene rĩa koine;
The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
23 Jehova nĩwe wĩkĩte ũndũ ũcio, naguo nĩ wa magegania tũkĩwona.
This is Adonai’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 Mũthenya ũyũ nĩ Jehova ũtũmĩte ũgĩe; nĩtũcanjamũkei, tũkĩũkenere.
This is the day that Adonai has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
25 Wee Jehova, tũhonokie; Wee Jehova, tũma tũgaacĩre.
Save us now, we beg you, Adonai! Adonai, we beg you, send prosperity now.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai! We have blessed you out of Adonai’s house.
27 Jehova nĩwe Mũrungu, na nĩatũmĩte ũtheri wake ũtwarĩre. Ambĩrĩriai gũkũngũiya, mũrĩ na mathĩgĩ moko, mũthiĩ nginya hĩa-inĩ cia kĩgongona.
Adonai is God, and he has given us light. Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar.
28 Wee nĩwe Mũrungu wakwa, nĩngũgũcookeria ngaatho; Wee nĩwe Ngai wakwa, nĩngũgũtũũgĩria.
You are my God, and I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you. You are my God, I will exalt you.
29 Cookeriai Jehova ngaatho, nĩgũkorwo we nĩ mwega; wendo wake nĩ wa tene na tene.
Oh yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, for he is good, for his cheshed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
