1 Goocai Jehova. Mũgoocei, inyuĩ ndungata cia Jehova, mũgooce rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova.
Alleluia. Praise the Lord, you servants [of his], praise, the name of the Lord.
2 Rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova rĩrogoocwo, kuuma rĩu nginya tene na tene.
Let the name of the Lord be blessed, from this present time and for ever.
3 Kuuma o irathĩro rĩa riũa nginya ithũĩro rĩarĩo, rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova nĩrĩgoocagwo.
From the rising of the sun to his setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
4 Jehova nĩatũũgĩrĩtio igũrũ rĩa ndũrĩrĩ ciothe, riiri wake ũrĩ igũrũ rĩa igũrũ.
The Lord is high above all the nations; his glory is above the heavens.
5 Nũũ ũhaana ta Jehova Ngai witũ, o Ũcio ũikaragĩra gĩtĩ kĩa ũnene kũu igũrũ,
Who is as the Lord our God? who dwells in the high places,
6 o ũcio ũinamagĩrĩra arorererie maũndũ ma igũrũ o na ma thĩ?
and [yet] looks upon the low things in heaven, and on the earth:
7 Oyaga athĩĩni na igũrũ kuuma rũkũngũ-inĩ, na agokĩria arĩa abatari, akamaruta kĩhumbu-inĩ kĩa mũhu;
who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;
8 amaikaragia hamwe na anene, o hamwe na anene a andũ ao.
to set him with princes, [even] with the princes of his people:
9 Atũmaga mũtumia thaata atũũre gwake mũciĩ, agatuĩka nyina wa ciana, agakenaga. Goocai Jehova.
who settles the barren [woman] in a house, [as] a mother rejoicing over children.
