< Thaburi 11 >

1 Thaburi ya Daudi Niĩ njũragĩra harĩ Jehova. Mwahota atĩa kũnjĩĩra atĩrĩ: “Ũmbũka ta nyoni ũũrĩre kĩrĩma-inĩ gĩaku.
For the music director: A psalm of David. Lord, you are my protection. So how can you tell me, “Fly away to the mountains like a bird”?
2 Ta rora, andũ arĩa aaganu nĩmageetete mota mao, makahagĩka mĩguĩ yao ndigi-inĩ nĩguo mehithĩte nduma-inĩ marathe andũ arĩa atheru ngoro.
Look, the wicked are drawing their bows, loading them with arrows ready to shoot from the shadows at good people.
3 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa mĩthingi ĩraanangwo-rĩ, andũ arĩa athingu mangĩhota gwĩka atĩa?”
When the foundations of society are destroyed, what can those who live right do?
4 Jehova arĩ thĩinĩ wa hekarũ yake theru; Jehova arĩ gĩtĩ-inĩ gĩake kĩa ũnene kũu igũrũ. Acũthagĩrĩria ariũ a andũ; maitho make nĩmamaroragia.
The Lord is in his Temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven. He keeps a close eye on everyone, watching them carefully.
5 Jehova nĩaroragia andũ arĩa athingu, no andũ arĩa aaganu na arĩa mendete haaro-rĩ, ngoro yake nĩĩmathũire.
The Lord examines both those who do right and those who do evil, but he hates those who love violence.
6 Andũ arĩa aaganu nĩakamoirĩria marakara maraakana na ũbiriti ũgwakana; igai rĩao nĩ rũhuho rũrĩa rũcinaga.
He will make blazing coals and sulfur rain down on the wicked; a scorching wind is what's coming on them.
7 Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩ mũthingu, na nĩendete ciira wa kĩhooto; andũ arĩa arũngĩrĩru nĩo marĩonaga ũthiũ wake.
The Lord does what is right, and he loves those who live right. Those who do good will see him face to face.
