< Thaburi 107 >

1 Cookeriai Jehova ngaatho, nĩgũkorwo nĩ mwega; wendo wake ũtũũraga tene na tene.
Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
2 Andũ arĩa makũũrĩtwo nĩ Jehova nĩmakiuge ũguo: o acio akũũrĩte kuuma guoko-inĩ gwa thũ,
Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the oppressor,
And gathered out of the countries, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
4 Amwe morũũrire werũ-inĩ ũtarĩ kĩndũ, maagĩte njĩra ya kũmakinyia itũũra inene kũrĩa mangĩatũũrire.
They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way, they found no city of habitation;
5 Maarĩ ahũtu na makanyoota, na makaaga mwĩhoko thĩinĩ wao.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them:
6 Nao magĩkaĩra Jehova marĩ mĩnyamaro-inĩ, nake akĩmahonokia kuuma thĩĩna-inĩ.
Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses,
7 Aamagereirie njĩra nũngarũ, nginya magĩkinya itũũra inene kũrĩa mangĩonire gwa gũtũũra.
And he led them forth by a right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Nĩmagĩcookerie Jehova ngaatho nĩ ũndũ wa wendo wake ũrĩa ũtathiraga, na mawĩko make ma magegania marĩa eekĩire andũ,
Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
9 nĩgũkorwo nĩwe ũnyootoraga andũ arĩa anyootu, na akahũũnia arĩa ahũtu na maũndũ mega.
For he hath satisfied the longing soul and filled the hungry soul with good.
Such as inhabit darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron,
11 nĩgũkorwo nĩmaremeire ciugo cia Mũrungu, o na makĩagĩra kĩrĩra kĩa Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno bata.
Because they had rebelled against the words of God, and had despised the counsel of the Most High; ...
And he bowed down their heart with labour; they stumbled, and there was none to help:
13 Hĩndĩ ĩyo magĩkaĩra Jehova marĩ thĩĩna-inĩ, nake akĩmahonokia kuuma mĩnyamaro-inĩ.
Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saved them out of their distresses;
14 Nake aamarutire nduma-inĩ, akĩmaruta kũu nduma-inĩ nene mũno, na agĩtuanga mĩnyororo ĩrĩa moohetwo nayo.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.
15 Nĩmagĩcookerie Jehova ngaatho nĩ ũndũ wa wendo wake ũrĩa ũtathiraga, na mawĩko make ma magegania marĩa eekĩire andũ,
Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
For he hath broken the gates of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron.
Fools, because of their way of transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18 Magĩtuĩka a kũira ngoro mona irio o ciothe, nao magĩkuhĩrĩria ihingo cia gĩkuũ.
Their soul abhorreth all manner of food, and they draw near unto the gates of death:
19 Hĩndĩ ĩyo magĩkaĩra Jehova marĩ mĩnyamaro-inĩ, nake akĩmaruta thĩĩna-inĩ.
Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saveth them out of their distresses;
20 Aatũmire kiugo gĩake akĩmahonia; aamateithũrire kuuma mbĩrĩra-inĩ.
He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their destructions.
21 Nĩmagĩcookerie Jehova ngaatho nĩ ũndũ wa wendo wake ũrĩa ũtathiraga, na mawĩko make ma magegania marĩa eekĩire andũ.
Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men,
22 Nĩmakĩrute igongona rĩa gũcookia ngaatho, na mamenyithanie mawĩko make makĩinaga nyĩmbo cia gĩkeno.
And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works in joyful song.
23 Angĩ maagereire iria-inĩ marĩ marikabu-inĩ; maathiiaga wonjoria kũu maria-inĩ manene.
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters,
24 Nĩmoonire mawĩko ma Jehova, makĩona ciĩko ciake cia magegania kũu kũriku.
These see the works of Jehovah, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Nĩgũkorwo aaririe, akĩarahũra kĩhuhũkanio kĩrĩa gĩatũmire iria rĩgĩe na makũmbĩ.
For he speaketh, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof:
26 Marikabu igĩikanio na igũrũ, na igĩcooka igĩikanio na kũu thĩ kũrĩa kũriku; andũ acio magĩkua ngoro nĩ ũndũ marĩ ũgwati-inĩ mũnene.
They mount up to the heavens, they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble;
27 Makĩagaga na magĩtũgũũga ta andũ arĩĩu; ũũgĩ wao wothe nĩwakinyĩte mũthia.
They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and they are at their wits' end:
28 Hĩndĩ ĩyo magĩkaĩra Jehova marĩ thĩĩna-inĩ, nake akĩmahonokia kuuma mĩnyamaro-inĩ.
Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses;
29 Nake akĩhooreria kĩhuhũkanio kĩu kĩnene; namo makũmbĩ ma iria rĩu magĩkirio ki.
He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still:
30 Nao magĩkena nĩ iria rĩu kũhoorera, nake akĩmakinyia nginya gĩcukĩro-inĩ kĩa marikabu kĩrĩa merirĩirie gũkinya.
And they rejoice because they are quiet; and he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31 Nĩmagĩcookerie Jehova ngaatho nĩ ũndũ wa wendo wake ũrĩa ũtathiraga, na mawĩko make ma magegania marĩa eekĩire andũ.
Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
32 Nĩmamũtũũgĩrie kĩũngano-inĩ kĩa andũ, na mamũgooce marĩ kĩama-inĩ kĩa athuuri.
Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the session of the elders.
33 Aagarũrire kũrĩa kwarĩ njũũĩ gũgĩtuĩka werũ, nakuo kũrĩa kwarĩ ithima ciathereraga gũgĩtuĩka kũndũ kũngʼaru,
He maketh rivers into a wilderness, and water-springs into dry ground;
34 naguo bũrũri ũrĩa woimaga irio mũno akĩũtua werũ wa igata ũtaarĩ kĩndũ, tondũ wa waganu wa andũ arĩa maatũũraga kuo.
A fruitful land into a plain of salt, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35 Aagarũrire kũrĩa kwarĩ werũ gũkĩgĩa tũria twa maaĩ, nakuo kũrĩa kwarĩ kũngʼaru agĩtũma gũkunũke ithima;
He maketh the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs;
36 nao andũ arĩa maarĩ ahũtu akĩmarehe kuo, nao magĩaka itũũra inene rĩa gũikara.
And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;
37 Maarĩmire mĩgũnda na makĩhaanda mĩthabibũ, ĩrĩa yaciarire magetha maingĩ;
And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase;
38 aamarathimire nao makĩingĩha mũno, na ndaarekire mahiũ mao manyiihe.
And he blesseth them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39 Mũigana wao ũgĩcooka ũkĩnyiiha, na makĩagithio hinya, nĩ kũhinyĩrĩrio, na kũnyariirĩka, o na kĩeha;
And they are diminished and brought low, through oppression, adversity, and sorrow:
40 we ũrĩa ũnyararithagia andũ arĩa marĩ igweta-rĩ, agĩtũma morũũre kũndũ gũtaarĩ njĩra.
He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
41 No rĩrĩ, nĩarutire andũ arĩa abatari mathĩĩna-inĩ, na andũ a nyũmba ciao akĩmaingĩhia o ta mahiũ.
But he secureth the needy one on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like flocks.
42 Andũ arĩa arũngĩrĩru monaga ũguo magakena, no arĩa othe aaganu nĩgũkirio makiragio.
The upright shall see it, and rejoice; and all unrighteousness shall stop its mouth.
Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them understand the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah.
