1 Thaburi ya Daudi Gooca Jehova, wee ngoro yakwa; kĩrĩa gĩothe kĩrĩ thĩinĩ wakwa, gooca rĩĩtwa rĩake itheru.
For David himself. Bless the Lord, O my soul: and let all that is within me bless his holy name.
2 Gooca Jehova, wee ngoro yakwa, na ndũkariganĩrwo nĩ maũndũ mothe marĩa aanagwĩka:
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and never forget all he hath done for thee.
3 o ũrĩa ũkũrekagĩra mehia maku mothe, na agakũhonia mĩrimũ yaku yothe,
Who forgiveth all thy iniquities: who healeth all thy diseases.
4 ũrĩa ũkũũraga muoyo waku kuuma irima rĩa gĩkuũ, na agakũhumba wendo na tha taarĩ thũmbĩ ya ũnene,
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction: who crowneth thee with mercy and compassion.
5 o we ũkũhũũnagia na maũndũ mega nĩgeetha waanake waku werũhagio o ta wa nderi.
Who satisfieth thy desire with good things: thy youth shall be renewed like the eagle’s.
6 Jehova ekaga maũndũ ma ũthingu, na akarũgamĩrĩra kĩhooto kũrĩ arĩa othe ahinyĩrĩrie.
The Lord doth mercies, and judgment for all that suffer wrong.
7 Nĩamenyithirie Musa njĩra ciake, nacio ciĩko ciake agĩcimenyithia andũ a Isiraeli:
He hath made his ways known to Moses: his wills to the children of Israel.
8 Jehova nĩ mũigua tha na nĩ mũtugi, ndahiũhaga kũrakara, na nĩaiyũirwo nĩ wendo mũingĩ.
The ford is compassionate and merciful: longsuffering and plenteous in mercy.
9 We ndaciirithanagia hĩndĩ ciothe, o na kana agatũũra arakarĩte nginya tene;
He will not always be angry: nor will he threaten for ever.
10 Ndatũherithagia ta ũrĩa mehia maitũ magĩrĩirwo, o na kana agatũrĩhia kũringana na waganu witũ ũrĩa ũigana.
He hath not dealt with us according to our sins: nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 O ta ũrĩa igũrũ rĩraihanĩrĩirie na thĩ, ũguo no taguo wendo wake ũrĩ mũnene kũrĩ arĩa mamwĩtigĩrĩte;
For according to the height of the heaven above the earth: he hath strengthened his mercy towards them that fear him.
12 o ta ũrĩa irathĩro kũraihanĩrĩirie na ithũĩro-rĩ, ũguo no taguo atwehereirie mehia maitũ magatũraihĩrĩria.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our iniquities from us.
13 O ta ũrĩa mũthuuri aiguagĩra ciana ciake tha, ũguo no taguo Jehova aiguagĩra tha arĩa mamwĩtigĩrĩte;
As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the Lord compassion on them that fear him:
14 nĩgũkorwo we nĩoĩ ũrĩa tuombirwo, nĩaririkanaga atĩ ithuĩ tũrĩ o rũkũngũ.
For he knoweth our frame. He remembereth that we are dust:
15 Ha ũhoro wa mũndũ-rĩ, matukũ make mahaana o ta nyeki, we acanũkaga o ta ihũa rĩa gĩthaka;
Man’s days are as grass, as the flower of the field so shall he flourish.
16 rĩhurutagwo nĩ rũhuho rĩkehera, na harĩa rĩraarĩ rĩtingĩcooka kuonwo rĩngĩ.
For the spirit shall pass in him, and he shall not be: and he shall know his place no more.
17 No rĩrĩ, kuuma tene nginya tene wendo wa Jehova ũtũũraga harĩ arĩa mamwĩtigĩrĩte, naguo ũthingu wake ũgakinyĩra ciana cia ciana ciao,
But the mercy of the Lord is from eternity and unto eternity upon them that fear him: And his justice unto children’s children,
18 o acio mamenyagĩrĩra kĩrĩkanĩro gĩake, na makaririkanaga gwathĩkĩra watho wake.
To such as keep his covenant, And are mindful of his commandments to do them.
19 Jehova nĩahaandĩte gĩtĩ gĩake kĩa ũnene kũu igũrũ, na ũthamaki wake wathaga maũndũ mothe.
The Lord hath prepared his throne in heaven: and his kingdom shall rule over all.
20 Goocai Jehova, inyuĩ araika ake, inyuĩ njamba irĩ hinya, inyuĩ mwĩkaga ũrĩa oigĩte, o inyuĩ mwathĩkagĩra kiugo gĩake.
Bless the Lord, all ye his angels: you that are mighty in strength, and execute his word, hearkening to the voice of his orders.
21 Goocai Jehova, inyuĩ mbũtũ ciake ciothe cia igũrũ, o inyuĩ ndungata ciake iria ciĩkaga ũrĩa endaga.
Bless the Lord, all ye his hosts: you ministers of his that do his will.
22 Goocai Jehova, inyuĩ mawĩra make mothe mũrĩ kũrĩa guothe athamakaga. Wee ngoro yakwa, gooca Jehova.
Bless the Lord, all his works: in every place of his dominion, O my soul, bless thou the Lord.
