< Thaburi 102 >
1 Wee Jehova, igua ihooya rĩakwa; reke gũkaya gwakwa ngĩhooya ũteithio gũgũkinyĩre.
A prayer of the afflicted, when he shall be in distresse, and pour forth his meditation before the Lord. O Lord, heare my prayer, and let my crye come vnto thee.
2 Tiga kũũhitha ũthiũ waku rĩrĩa ndĩ mĩnyamaro-inĩ. Inamĩrĩria gũtũ gwaku ũnjigue; ndagũkaĩra, njĩtĩka o narua.
Hide not thy face from me in the time of my trouble: incline thine eares vnto me: when I call, make haste to heare me.
3 Nĩgũkorwo matukũ makwa marathira o ta ũrĩa ndogo ĩthiraga; namo mahĩndĩ makwa maraakana o ta gĩcinga.
For my dayes are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burnt like an herthe.
4 Ngoro yakwa ĩringĩkĩte na ĩkahooha o ta nyeki; ndiganĩirwo o na nĩ kũrĩa irio.
Mine heart is smitten and withereth like grasse, because I forgate to eate my bread.
5 Tondũ wa ũrĩa ndĩracaaya nyanĩrĩire, hĩnjĩte ngatigara o gĩkonde na mahĩndĩ.
For the voyce of my groning my bones doe cleaue to my skinne.
6 Haana ta ndundu ya werũ-inĩ, ngahaana ta ndundu ĩrĩa ĩikaraga kũrĩa kwanangĩku.
I am like a pelicane of the wildernesse: I am like an owle of the deserts.
7 Ndaaraga itarĩ toro; haanĩte ta nyoni ĩrĩ o iiki nyũmba igũrũ.
I watch and am as a sparrowe alone vpon the house top.
8 Mũthenya wothe thũ ciakwa itindaga igĩĩthirĩkia; acio maanyũrũragia mahũthagĩra rĩĩtwa rĩakwa taarĩ kĩrumi.
Mine enemies reuile me dayly, and they that rage against me, haue sworne against me.
9 Nĩgũkorwo ndĩĩaga mũhu taarĩ irio ciakwa, na kĩrĩa nyuuaga ngagĩtukania na maithori,
Surely I haue eaten asshes as bread, and mingled my drinke with weeping,
10 tondũ wa mangʼũrĩ maku manene, ũnjoete na igũrũ ũkanjikia mwena-inĩ.
Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast heaued me vp, and cast me downe.
11 Matukũ makwa mahaana o ta kĩĩruru kĩa hwaĩ-inĩ; hoohaga ta nyeki.
My dayes are like a shadowe that fadeth, and I am withered like grasse.
12 No rĩrĩ, Wee Jehova ũgũtũũra ũikarĩire gĩtĩ kĩa ũnene nginya tene na tene; ngumo yaku ĩgũtũũra njiarwa na njiarwa.
But thou, O Lord, doest remaine for euer, and thy remembrance from generation to generation.
13 Wee nĩũkwarahũka ũiguĩre itũũra rĩa Zayuni tha, nĩgũkorwo ihinda rĩa kũrĩĩka wega nĩ ikinyu; ihinda rĩrĩa rĩathĩrĩre nĩ ikinyu.
Thou wilt arise and haue mercy vpon Zion: for the time to haue mercie thereon, for the appointed time is come.
14 Nĩgũkorwo mahiga makuo nĩmakenagĩrwo nĩ ndungata ciaku; o na rũkũngũ rwakuo nĩrũtũmaga iringwo nĩ tha.
For thy seruants delite in the stones thereof, and haue pitie on the dust thereof.
15 Ndũrĩrĩ nĩigeetigĩra rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova, athamaki othe a thĩ mekĩrĩre riiri waku.
Then the heathen shall feare the Name of the Lord, and all the Kings of the earth thy glory,
16 Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩagaaka itũũra rĩa Zayuni rĩngĩ, na eyumĩrie arĩ na riiri wake.
When the Lord shall build vp Zion, and shall appeare in his glory,
17 Nĩakaigua mahooya ma andũ arĩa aagi; ndakanyarara mahooya mao.
And shall turne vnto the prayer of the desolate, and not despise their prayer.
18 Ũhoro ũyũ nĩwandĩkwo nĩ ũndũ wa rũciaro rũrĩa rũgooka, nĩguo andũ arĩa mataciarĩtwo makaagooca Jehova:
This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people, which shalbe created, shall prayse the Lord.
19 “Jehova nĩacũthĩrĩirie thĩ arĩ harĩa hake haamũre kũu igũrũ; arĩ kũu igũrũ Jehova nĩkũrora aarorire thĩ,
For he hath looked downe from the height of his Sanctuarie: out of the heauen did the Lord beholde the earth,
20 nĩguo aigue gũcaaya kwa arĩa moheetwo, na ohorithie arĩa maatuĩrĩirwo gũkua.”
That he might heare the mourning of the prisoner, and deliuer the children of death:
21 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova nĩrĩkoimbũrwo kũu Zayuni, na nĩakagoocwo kũu Jerusalemu
That they may declare the Name of the Lord in Zion, and his prayse in Ierusalem,
22 rĩrĩa andũ a ndũrĩrĩ na mothamaki makoongana, mathathaiye Jehova.
When the people shalbe gathered together, and the kingdomes to serue the Lord.
23 Hĩndĩ ya mũtũũrĩre wakwa nĩanyiihirie hinya wakwa; nĩakuhĩhirie matukũ makwa.
He abated my strength in the way, and shortened my dayes.
24 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio ngĩkiuga atĩrĩ: “Wee Ngai wakwa, ndũkanjũrage o rĩrĩa ndaiganĩria matukũ makwa; wee-rĩ, mĩaka yaku ĩthiiaga o na mbere nginya njiarwa na njiarwa.
And I sayd, O my God, take me not away in the middes of my dayes: thy yeeres endure from generation to generation.
25 O kĩambĩrĩria-inĩ, nĩwaarire mĩthingi ya thĩ, o narĩo igũrũ nĩ wĩra wa moko maku.
Thou hast aforetime layde the foundation of the earth, and the heauens are the worke of thine hands.
26 Icio nĩgũthira igaathira, no wee nĩgũtũũra ũgaatũũra; igaakũra o ta nguo, ithire. Ũgaacigarũrĩra ta nguo, icooke iteeo.
They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: euen they all shall waxe olde as doeth a garment: as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed.
27 No Wee ndũgarũrũkaga, nayo mĩaka yaku ndĩrĩ mũthia.
But thou art the same, and thy yeeres shall not fayle.
28 Ciana cia ndungata ciaku igaatũũra na thayũ mbere yaku; nacio njiaro ciacio cigaikara irũmĩte irĩ mbere yaku.”
The children of thy seruants shall continue, and their seede shall stand fast in thy sight.
