14 Kĩheo kĩheanĩtwo na hitho nĩkĩhooreragia marakara, na ihaki ihithe nguo-inĩ rĩhooreragia mangʼũrĩ manene.
A gift in secret pacifieth anger; and a present in the bosom, vehement fury.
15 Ituĩro rĩa kĩhooto rĩatuuo, rĩrehaga gĩkeno kũrĩ andũ arĩa athingu, no rĩrehaga kĩmako kũrĩ arĩa mekaga ũũru.

The desire of the sluggard killeth him; for his hands refuse to work:
26 Mũthenya wothe eriragĩria o makĩria, no arĩa athingu maheanaga mategũtara.
He coveteth greedily all the day long; but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
27 Igongona rĩa mũndũ mwaganu nĩ kĩndũ kĩrĩ magigi: ĩ rĩtikĩrĩ magigi makĩria hĩndĩ ĩrĩa rĩrehetwo na ũhinga ngoro-inĩ!
The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more when they bring it with a wicked purpose!
28 Mũira wa maheeni nĩgũthira agaathira, nake ũrĩa ũmũthikagĩrĩria akaanangwo nginya tene.
A lying witness shall perish; and a man that heareth shall speak constantly.
29 Mũndũ mwaganu erũagĩrĩra na ũrũme, no mũndũ mũrũngĩrĩru nĩeciiragia ũhoro wa mĩthiĩre yake.
A wicked man hardeneth his face; but as for the upright, he establisheth his way.
30 Gũtirĩ ũũgĩ, kana ũmenyi, kana kĩrĩra o na kĩrĩkũ kĩngĩhota gũũkĩrĩra Jehova.
There is no wisdom, nor understanding, nor counsel against Jehovah.
31 Mbarathi nĩĩharagĩrio nĩ ũndũ wa mũthenya wa mbaara, no ũhootani uumaga kũrĩ Jehova.
